  1. I just can't imagine how heartwarming and lovely this episode of SSD will be! All the POstables have been anxiously waiting for this truly joyous occasion, and also anticipating it to be the start of a new chapter in this beautiful series.

  2. Keb Mo is back for another appearance! Awesome! Can’t wait for more sweet moments between the Postables. I wonder what undelivered letter will show up this time.

  3. I was reading HGTV magazine the other day, and they have a section called How Bad is It. Well one of the questions was how bad is it to not put a return address on your mail. They said really bad, and it made me think of this series, as it talked all about how the lost mail gets sent to a special dept, and all I could see in my head was SSD and I went off in my mind thinking of the real people in these depts. falling in love or developing life long friendships, everything is a Hallmark movie to me :)

  4. I love all these photos, Net! You're the best and so good at figuring out little mysteries, that's why I was wondering if you knew anything else? There's speculation about the diamond ring Shane is suddenly wearing after Norman and Rita's wedding. Do you think Oliver proposed after they walked back down the aisle?

    1. Either that or he proposed sometime before the wedding, but Shane didn’t put the ring on till after. Can’t wait to find out! Is it July yet??

  9. Oh my goodness!!! This was sooooo incredible. SSD is truly the best series EVER. The writing is just absolutely wonderful. I can't tell you how many times I cried. I loved the story about the mother and daughter, and how it relates to Rita. I loved the green tie wedding tradition. I just love those little details and how poetic the proposal was. Every time I watch a new SSD series, I'd always think, how would this writer top something so amazing?! But then every single time I'm always blown away. In the midst of all the garbage on TV these days, I'm so thankful for SSD!

    1. Awe, I know just what you mean, CH Mom... how all the little details "tie" in together are absolutely incredible... even the ugly green tie! Everything has meaning, the scene, the setting, the words spoken, and sometimes those left unspoken! I'm so glad this series continues to bring joy to your heart, as it also does mine! We truly do need many more uplifting films from our POstables! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this incredible film!

  10. Is there any way to write a letter to Hallmark? Kristin Booth said on her Instagram that the network is still trying to decide whether to renew or not. I would be so heartbroken if this is it 😭

    1. Writing a real letter or sending a Hallmark card is the perfect way to express your love and support of SSD!

You can address your letter to President and CEO Bill Abbott or Executive Vice President Michelle Vicary.

Hope this helps, CH! I sure would love to see this particular series continue on and on! Signed, Sealed, Delivered not only speaks to the heart, but engages our puzzle-solving minds! Thank you for sharing your love of this amazing show!

  11. Do you know if the tea served at the Brown Hotel is a tea which you may actually purchase? I've never heard of it. Is it just a fictional name for tea?

    1. The tea they refer to in the letter is 1892 Darjeeling tea. I'm not familiar with this myself, but Wikipedia gives this description: "Darjeeling tea is a tea from the Darjeeling district in West Bengal, India. It is available in black, green, white and oolong. When properly brewed, it yields a thin-bodied, light-coloured infusion with a floral aroma."

Out of curiosity, I searched Amazon, and they do have Darjeeling tea available in various varieties, if you're interested.

      Hope this helps! Blessings, Net

  12. SS&D is my very favorite TV program. My TV Guide never lists it so I don't always know when it will be on. If I miss it my disappointment is extreme. Love every character & I always end up crying at some point. Please don't stop producing it!

    1. Janet, The green tie story in "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Altar" is an interesting bit of Oliver's family history. In the scene where Oliver, his father Joe, and Shane are talking about the upcoming Bachelor party Oliver is giving for Norman... they begin to discuss traditions and Joe begins telling the story of Randal Bartlett O'Toole from the 1800's. Randal was in love with a lady of means, Laticia, who was the daughter of a prosperous banker, but he was just the local postmaster and was somewhat insecure.

One day he sees another man who is interested in the same girl, and Randal knows if he doesn't get there first, he's going to lose her. So... (Oliver starts to share some of the story with his father) Randal borrowed a tie from the blacksmith, and runs up to her house and pounds on the door and says, "Don't look at me tie, look at my eyes, listen only to my heart, and if you marry me, then I will love you forever and I'll never wear this tie again."

Shane asks what happened next, and Joe says that is why O'Toole men never wear ugly green ties, unless they are going to propose.

That's why Shane is quite surprised when Olliver is wearing the green tie at the wedding ceremony. She knows what's coming next!

Hope this helps! Perhaps you missed this particular scene each time... it's over 40 minutes in. It is such a sweet O'Toole family tradition.

Enjoy your next watching of SSD! Blessings, Net
