"MARK"ing THE 25th!
In addition to this Sunday being Palm Sunday (the day that we remember and celebrate the day Jesus entered into Jerusalem as Savior and King!), it's also the 25th Day of the month... it's been 3 months since Christmas... and now, it's only 9 months until Christmas Day!
To commemorate this special time, as I've shared before, I watch a Christmas movie on the 25th day of each month. I'm delighted that many of you have joined along... including our friend Mark, who encourages us here, and makes a point to visit each month on the 25th to share which Christmas movie he watches! That's why I have named this feature after him... "Mark"ing the 25th!
Basically, each month, on or before the 25th, I will share which Christmas movie I have chosen to watch that day, and please do the same - in comments below!
For this Palm Sunday, my family and I have chosen to watch... "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: For Christmas." Since the premiere movie on UP, "Risen," tells the Resurrection story, we thought it would also be nice to watch "Signed, Sealed, Delivered: For Christmas," because it shares the precious story of Jesus' birth.
I hope you all have a Wonderful Weekend and Palm Sunday! If you plan to watch a Christmas movie on the 25th, please share in comments below.
Awwww...Net, thank you so much for thinking of me and naming your "25th" feature after me! I feel like I just won an award!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, like you, I will be mentioning which Christmas movie I will be watching on the 25th of each month. For tomorrow, I have decided to watch one of my favorite Hallmark movies from this past year, The Christmas Cure. (I still have it on my DVR.)
I selected this one because its message is one of reaching out to help other people. Dr. Turner (Patrick Duffy) did, even outside of his practice. And his daughter (Brooke Nevin) decides to take over his practice when he retires, giving up her big city life, so that the townspeople will still have someone to care for them, physically and emotionally.
For me, this movie ties in with this time of year because it is about sacrifice. We remember how Christ loved us so much that he sacrificed his life for us, and how we in turn are called to sacrifice - to love and help others no matter what obstacles or choices we may face...just like the Turners.
Net, I wish you and your family (and everyone visiting this site) a most blessed Palm Sunday!
'Hosanna! Hosanna in the highest!" (Mark 11:9-10)
Beautifully said! Thank you, Mark, for sharing that and your well wishes for everyone here!
DeleteI like your movie pick for the 25th... that is truly beautiful how you related the story to Easter. Giving of oneself is truly a selfless gift!
Blessings to you! So glad you like the feature!
Have a wonderful Palm Sunday, Net
After When Calls The Heart, I'll join you Net in watching SSD. Any excuse to watch it again is a good one for me!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree! Enjoy it again!
DeleteBlessings, Net
How lucky for Mark! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThat's so nice.
DeleteThank you, Anonymous! I truly am lucky and blessed to be part of this IAWM family!
DeleteAnd, we are equally blessed, Mark, to have you here... as part of the "It's a Wonderful Movie" family!!!
DeleteThank you for your awesome support!!! Blessings, Net
I'll "mark" the 25th by watching WCTH the Christmas Wishing Tree in preparation for the new episode Sunday night. I can't wait to see Jack and Elizabeth after the wedding. I can hardly believe a whole week has finally gone by! Sally
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Have your own binge watching WCTH party!!! I am looking forward to the new episode, too! So many changes are surely soon to come now that Elizabeth and Jack are married!
DeleteBethany Joy Lenz credited as Joy Lenz?
ReplyDeleteYes, sometimes she doesn't use Bethany and goes by her middle name, Joy.
DeleteEither way, she's certainly a "joy" to watch!
I was wondering why Jack Thorton
ReplyDelete( Daniel Lissing) seems to be leaving
and working away from Hope Valley.
Does Daniele have other obligations?
Thank you for nay insights
Yes, Daniel Lissing has been working on other acting projects, besides "When Calls the Heart." Rumor is, he was offered a larger role, but had to take a smaller part because of his commitment/contract to WCTH. However, when he was doing interview rounds, a week or so ago for WCTH, he sounded quite enthusiastic over the prospect (which, of course, is now official) Season 6! Hopefully, they will be able to resolve enough schedule time/contract agreement to bring Jack back for another season of WCTH!
DeleteThank you, Nancy, for your comment. Each of our faiths are a very personal decision and shape who we are, whatever choices we make.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate you sharing your heart and your love of Hallmark movies here with us. You have definitely come to the right place to share your enjoyment of Hallmark movies all year round!!!
I'm with you... I definitely always want and love those sweet Hallmark happy endings!
Blessings, Net
