In addition to the royal-themed movie "Royal Hearts," premiering this weekend, the Hallmark Channel will be premiering 2 more royal movies this Spring!
Look for "Royal Matchmaker" in March and "Once Upon a Prince" is said to premiere in April!

HALLMARK CHANNEL BRINGS BACK MARCH "Merry Madness" CHRISTMAS BRACKET:
image: Crown Media |
The Merry Madness Christmas Bracket opens on March 1st! The Competition will include four categories this year - the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, Hallmark Movies Now, and Hallmark Classics!
See Hallmark's web-site for more details - and which movies are included in this years challenge!
Let's hope the ultimate winning movie will be played on TV again this year during Hallmark Channel's Prime Time, as the 2017 Merry Madness champion "The Christmas Card" aired last year.
EASTER and CHRISTMAS in APRIL:
Besides all the wonderful new family premiere TV movies, my heart still remains with some of the dear old classics one can discover on TCM. On Easter Sunday, TCM will be airing both the "Easter Parade" starring Fred Astaire and Judy Garland and "Holiday Inn" starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire! These two amazing Movie Musicals are a delight any day of the year, especially "Holiday Inn" which takes you along throughout the Calendar year, celebrating each Holiday, including Easter, the Fourth of July, Christmas, and so much more!!!

HALLMARK HALL OF FAME "The Beach House":
The Hallmark Hall of Fame original film, "The Beach House," starring Andie MacDowell, Minka Kelly, Chad Michael Murray and Makenzie Vega, will have its premiere on the Hallmark Channel- Saturday, April 28th, according to Hallmark's Press Release.

"The Beach House" storyline via Hallmark: "The movie sees Cara Rutledge, played by Minka Kelly, thinking she’d left her Southern roots and troubled family far behind. She returns to the South Carolina Lowcountry of her childhood summers after losing her job in Chicago and reconnects with her mother Lovie (Andie MacDowell). Before long, the rhythms of the island open Cara’s heart. She becomes a “turtle lady” who conserves the area’s wildlife, repairs the family beach house and renews a past romance with Brett (Chad Michael Murray)."
Hope you enjoyed this update & highlight of upcoming movie details! I just love a good Royal Movie... so I'm thrilled we have three coming up! Most of Hallmark's past Royal Movies have been for Christmas; therefore, it's good to see them expand this theme to the rest of the year!
Plus, how fun that we can look forward to a bit of Christmas in March with Hallmark's "Merry Madness" event once again!
Blessings, Net
Wow! There are a lot of good movies to look forward to! Thank you for this super update~
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed this, Susan! Just a little mix of everything today and, yes, so many movies to look forward to!!! :)
DeleteBlessings, Net
I love the old movie Holiday Inn although White Christmas is my favorite oldie but goodie.
ReplyDeleteOh, White Christmas is one of my favorites, too, Debbie! Seems like every Christmas, when AMC plays it, I am deep into my Christmas wrapping... and I must say, it's the perfect upbeat movie to wrap along to while humming along to all the beautiful musical numbers. Keeps me going!
DeleteThanks so much for sharing! Blessings, Net
Loved seeing your update in my inbox because it includes Christmas...can't wait. Hard to believe it has already been 2 months! Thanks Net!
ReplyDeleteAwww, that is so sweet, Christine! I love any hint of Christmas, too! It is, I agree, absolutely incredible to think how fast the time has already passed since Christmas, and Spring is right around the corner!
DeleteHopefully, Hallmark will give us more hints on Christmas during "Merry Madness"!
Blessings, Net
I didn't see Christmas Card.....was it disqualified because it won last year?
ReplyDeleteGreat question, Eddie! I also do not recall seeing "The Nine Lives of Christmas," "Matchmaker Santa," "Window Wonderland," "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and lots of other fan favorites!
DeleteShould be interesting to see who takes the title this year.
It is the 25th...and the countdown continues...2 months down, 10 to go! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, time is going by so fast! Thank you, Mark, for always remembering the 25th and "MARK"ing the day!
DeleteAs you know, I try to watch something Christmassy on each 25th! This time I chose the Lifetime short "My Christmas Grandpa" (I hadn't watched it, yet, and it was very sweet!) and I watched "On Moonlight Bay" with Doris Day. It isn't a traditional Christmas movie, but it has a beautiful Christmas scene where Doris sings that is quite moving.
I hope you had a Happy 25th, Mark! Thank you, again, for "MARK"ing the day! :)
Blessings, Net
Hi Net - I shall "Mark" the day (ha-ha) every 25th of this year! (I've been trying to come with a cute pun with "Net" but nothing! I wish I were more clever! Can anybody help me?) :)
DeleteI have taken your lead to watch a Christmas movie every 25th of the month. This month I watched the first "Christmas Carol" talkie called "Scrooge" with Seymour Hicks. The ending scene, where he attends a Christmastime church service, gets me every time!
Thank you, Mark! I love that you are going to continue to "Mark" the 25th day each month.
DeleteI noticed the next 25th is Palm Sunday. I'll have to give some thought on which Christmas movie to watch that particular Sunday!
As for "Net" puns, I found a few phrases... how about... "Cast your Net" and come up with a Christmas Movie for the 25th! Don't let anything "Slip through the Net". How does that sound? You can even "Surf the Net" for ideas!
Thanks so much, Mark, for sharing in on the fun!
Blessings, Net
I love your "Net" puns! You are so witty! :)
DeleteAs far as a movie for March 25th, I think it should be one that includes both the birth and the Passion of Jesus. The "Jesus of Nazareth" miniseries comes to mind, or maybe "The Greatest Story Ever Told".
