Such a feast of movies we've been treated with this whole week! It's a feast I'm going to be partaking in for a long time, because there's no way I can watch them all. I've been keeping up with the Hallmark premieres at least. There have been so many new favorites already this season. It's going to be near impossible to choose a top favorite or even top five at the end of the year. It's already hard to choose, and we still have so many more to come! I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteSame here, Amy. It is impossible to keep up with so many new movies. I'll be aboard the Christmas train well into January!
DeleteOh, Net, I'm all ready to board the Christmas train tonight!! I loved the trailer and the cast on this one and have been waiting, waiting, waiting!! Sunday I'll be visiting with the twins for "Switched For Christmas"; Can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Love the Ho..Ho..Ho..in Hope, Net!! Very clever!! LOL!!
DeleteAwesome! Thanks for the list of movies, Net!

I really wanted to love A Christmas Train more than I did especially since it was under the Hallmark Hall of Fame banner. It was an OK story at best. It reminded me of the feelings I had after watching last year's Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, "A Heavenly Christmas" starring Shirley McClaine. Everything looked great and the acting was top-notch due to the big name actors but the story was just "meh" to me.
ReplyDeleteA Christmas Train was fine but it lacked a lot of the heart that you want in a Hallmark Hall of Fame production and a lot of the plot felt really forced and awkward. The whole "stuck on the tracks" thing? Why? Just why? Just my two cents I guess but was hoping for more.
I agree. I had high hopes from watching the preview. The movie had the perfect cast and everything but the story was meh, especially towards the end.. not sure about the whole "Max Power production" thing that it was all orchestrated. But I sure do love Dermot Mulroney and Kimberly Paisley in it!
DeleteI hope everyone had a great holiday, there were SOOOOO many movies to watch, I have to say of the 5 night Thanksgiving movies, The Christmas Train was the best and Finding Santa 2nd. The rest were just ok, Switched for Christmas I wasn't having much luck with and switched to.......A Joyous Christmas, such a great movie. Loved seeing a new to Hallmark girl and Michael Rady. I still have quite a bit of movies to watch from Sunday night, will try the CCB again tonight and I have high hopes for Snowmance. There were just too many movies to watch.
ReplyDeleteI still don't understand the 12 most wonderful movies, when there are 13 on the HMM website. My husband thinks it is planned this way, so they will say they have a bonus 13th movie since the 12 were so popular. Also, according to HM site, they moved Encore Christmas to HMM and the Christmas Cottage to HM, but last nights promo during A Joyous Christmas still shows The Christmas Cottage on HMM and nothing at all about Christmas Connection. But according to my husband, that will be the bonus 13th movie.
I am looking forward to Rachel Boston, Ali Sweeney, and Ashley Williams as well as Brendan Penny this upcoming weekend :)
Loved "Switched for Christmas," "Wrapped Up in Christmas," and "A Family for the Holidays (mini-movie)!"
ReplyDeleteFirst off, let me say how impressed I am with this year's Lifetime lineup! All of them sound top-notch and the previews make them look awesome. I am super excited to see what's in store!
"A Family for the Holidays" is simply beautiful. It reminds me of "Mr. Kruger's Christmas." Similar stories and both made me cry (in a good way!)! Truly moving story. Though it was short it said everything it needed to. The best Christmas movie I've seen this year. It's what Christmas is all about, after all Christ was all about "the one." I highly recommend this beautiful mini-movie! And it was fun to see the couple from "My Favorite Wedding" again as husband and wife in this! :)
"Switched for Christmas" was very well done! I highly enjoyed myself all through the movie. I loved each of the guys and the couples had great chemistry. Candice has done it again! And I was so impressed with how Candice handled playing two people. She did a wonderful job portraying the different personalities and it was fun to see each sister's struggle between being herself and trying to be her sister. Brought back memories of Hailey Mills and made me smile! Will definitely watch again!
"Wrapped Up in Christmas" was a charming movie. I loved the family dynamics and the obvious love they had for one another. The two leads did great and I really felt their chemistry! I love seeing Brendan Fehr again! He is a great actor!
I also have to give a shout out to "With Love, Christmas." Loved it as well!!! Great chemistry! And Emilie is gorgeous!
And I must admit I have not seen any of the other premiers, though a lot of them look really good!
