Great news, Net!! I just received my dvd, "Coat of Many Colors" and I'm so happy they decided to do a Christmas movie, too!!
ReplyDeleteWe are SO excited to hear about this next segment of Dolly Parton's life. We have watched Coat of Many Colors many times now. The whole family loves it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
The Schnur Family
I really enjoyed Coat of Many Colors. It was so nice to see something so well written and well acted on broadcast television. The movie made me cry, but it also made me feel good. I told my step-mom and my dad to watch it, and they both really enjoyed it as well. I think this movie just proves that people want good stories on TV. Not everything has to be R-Rated to be entertaining.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have a #40 to add to your Christmas Movie News 2016 blog!
ReplyDeleteYea!! Jennifer Nettles is a great actress as well as a great singer! Who knew she had such a great acting talent?! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteDolly Parton has announced recently on Jimmy Fallon that she'll be appearing in the Circle of Love movie, as the town prostitute, and that she's also recording at least one new song for the film, called "Circle of Love." It will be available on Jennifer Nettles new Christmas album this year, as well as a new Christmas album from Dolly scheduled for 2017.
ReplyDeleteI read about that, SleepyKittyPaws. I can't help but wonder how that particular role is going to pan out in a family Christmas movie??? Very interesting.
DeleteParton has frequently said she has based her entire look on her town's lady of the night. Having seen her as a child, and thinking her beautiful when made up, she asked her mother what she did/was and her mother answered, 'She's trash,' with young Dolly responding, 'I want to be trash when I grow up!' ... It's probably part apocryphal, but I'd just about guarantee that will be the scene we see in the film.
