For ALL of YOU, who LOVE *Christmas Movies* as much as I do... Hallmark's "CHRISTMAS KEEPSAKE WEEK" is Officially Coming again this Year during "CHRISTMAS in JULY"!!!
"CHRISTMAS KEEPSAKE WEEK" is the week we get to immerse ourselves once again in all things Christmas - Movies, Ornaments, and more... Plus, if we are lucky we might just get a New Premiere Christmas Movie on the Hallmark Channel and a hint at what is to come this upcoming Christmas Season - in November & December, 2016!!!
The Hallmark Channel is now sharing this Special Preview Video / Promo Commercial:
VIDEO CLIP:
-
-
*One of the movie images looks like actress Susie Abromeit (Snow Bride) throwing a snowball - who will be starring in Hallmark's "A Perfect Christmas". Could it be premiering in July? Stay tuned for more details!
-
-
UPDATE: Actress Susie Abromeit shared a video clip on-the-set of "A Perfect Christmas" on her Instagram account, here- which shows the snowball fight scene also previewed in the Hallmark Clip Above- so it looks like we might be able to guess at least this one new premiere during Christmas Keepsake Week in July - but please know, other than including this clip in the video, it has not been officially announced yet, by Hallmark.

OH, I CAN'T WAIT!!!

I think Susie's snowball-throwing clip is from "Snow Bride," isn't it? She played the not-so-nice antagonist to Katrina Law's character in that movie.
But, that said, as you know, "A Perfect Christmas" has already been filmed. So it may be ready to go for July.
Although... my feeling is that, if Hallmark is only going to premiere one new Christmas movie in July, they will debut a movie with one or more of their biggest stars. Rachel Wilson (who is in "A Perfect Christmas") is not one of their biggest stars. Paul Greene and Lacey Chabert, on the other hand, ARE 2 of Hallmark's biggest stars and most familiar faces. So my guess is that "A Wish for Christmas" will be the July sneak preview. I could be totally wrong on that, but that is my strong hunch.
... That is, unless someone already filmed something late last year or early this year... someone who may have been doing back-to-back projects. ;)
In any case, I am thrilled to see the preview because it means July is not far away!
I wasn't certain at first, Sherry, especially since the clip is so fast, but it just didn't seem like any scene from "Snow Bride" to me... and then I discovered an Instagram video clip from actress Susie Abromeit that definitely shows that this snowball fight scene is from "A Perfect Christmas". I shared a link above ^ !
Oh, how I love the anticipation of Christmas... and Christmas in July!!! So Fun!
Oh, you know, I have been all over Susie's Instagram page (love the pajama photo from the movie!) for the last couple of weeks, as well as the Instagram accounts of others in the same movie, and for some reason I didn't even watch that video! Lol. I only looked at the still photos.
When I saw the snowball snippet zoom by in the Hallmark clip I was mainly looking at the guy on the right side of the screen. At a quick glance I thought he was Jordan Belfi. Again, that was because I hadn't actually watched Susie's video (which is a great clip, by the way -- and a lot of fun!).
But then I was thinking that, while I remembered scenes in snow, I didn't specifically remember seeing a snowball fight in "Snow Bride." (It's one of those things like the ice skating scenes and Christmas tree selection scenes, where you think you have seen a snowball fight in every single Christmas movie, even if you haven't!! Lol.)
So, now that I see Susie's video, clearly you are absolutely right -- that snippet in the Hallmark video is from the same shoot that Susie shared on her page. Now I know to actually watch the videos too, and not just look at still pictures! Lol.
As to whether or not this movie will be the sneak preview that we get in July, I don't know. I am 100% certain that Hallmark will give us a new movie for Christmas in July. I don't think they'd be teasing the event with a clip right now if we were not going to get one new movie out of it. They want to pull in advertisers. While they have other movies that have been completed, are currently in post-production or are going to wrap very soon, I tend to think they won't give us more than one new one because they don't want to ruin any of the fun for Nov-Dec.
However, if Christmas Keepsake Week is an event that covers 2 weekends once again, they may decide to shock us and throw in 2 new movies. I would not complain.
If we get 2 new movies for Christmas Keepsake Week, then Susie's movie (with Rachel Wilson) seems likely only because of that snowball scene in the Hallmark clip. But I still really, really think that the Lacey Chabert-Paul Greene movie is a likely candidate for a July sneak preview if there is only going to be one new movie, simply because they are two major names in the Hallmark world who would be familiar to the wider Hallmark audience.
On the other hand, Susie has recently been in two popular series -- "Jessica Jones" and "Chicago Med" -- though she is not the star of either one. Maybe Hallmark is trying to lure in viewers of those shows by featuring her in a movie and putting that movie at the center of the Christmas Keepsake event.
Now... as for what I would like to see during Christmas in July...
Over on HMM I want to see:
"The Christmas Ornament" "Angels & Ornaments" "The Christmas Shepherd" "A Christmas Wish" "Trading Christmas" "Farewell, Mr. Kringle"
On the main Hallmark Channel I want to see (in no specific order):
"The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" "Snow Bride" "Let it Snow" "A Very Merry Mix-Up" "Mrs. Miracle" "On the Twelfth Day of Christmas" "Nine Lives of Christmas" "A Christmas Melody" "I'm Not Ready for Christmas" "Charming Christmas" "Finding Christmas" "Window Wonderland" "Once Upon a Holiday" "Crown for Christmas" "Matchmaker Santa" "A Royal Christmas" "12 Gifts of Christmas" "Angel of Christmas" "A Christmas Detour" "Christmas at Cartwright's" "Christmas Dance" "Ice Sculpture Christmas"
I'm sure could list off several more too.
I'm sure there are some from my list above that won't make it into the July event (which is what happened last year), or they will only be shown one time in the entire 10 days. But I know they will show some, if not most, of the ones listed above. It will be a nice little sampling of what is to come in Nov-Dec. After the Christmas Keepsake event ends, it will be just about 3-1/2 months before the REAL fun begins with the Countdown to Christmas!!
Awesome lists! I hope they play most of them, if not all!!!
Wonder how many could be fit in one week? Course, there will be repeats, too... Would love to see them air the movies all night long - but that might have to wait until Christmas! :)
Net -- I really wonder how this coming Keepsake Week is going to go. If they were to do what they did for the last couple of years, Hallmark would run 6 or more movies on weekend days, and then run 4 movies each weekday.
However, seeing what Hallmark did with the Countdown to Valentine's Day this year -- they scaled it back from what it was in 2015 -- I must say that I don't trust Hallmark to run 4 movies each weekday during Christmas Keepsake Week, let alone do an all day/all night thing. I really thought that they might extend it out for an extra week in July, or go all day/all night, but I don't think that's happening. I expect one movie each weeknight and *maybe* 6 movies each weekend day. Anything more than that will be a delightful bonus!
The problem with last year's event is that they did not repeat certain movies often enough ("Snow Bride"), and they repeated other movies way too much ("A Bride for Christmas"). Every movie should be shown the same number of times in a short, 10-day event -- whether it's 2 times for each, or 3 times, or 4 or whatever. They ran some movies only one time, in the middle of the day when a lot of people were not home, and other movies they ran 4 times (or 5, in the case of "Home Alone"), often at the same times of day. The schedule made no sense to me. There was very little balance to it.
As often as people complain about the frequent repeats during the Countdown to Christmas, believe me -- it is much, much, much more frustrating to have too few options to see a movie. Having too many options is 100 times better than having too few. There were multiple reasons why I could not watch movies when I wanted to watch them last Nov-Dec, and there was not enough room on my DVR to hold everything. When I finally had the chance to start watching movies when I wanted to, those Hallmark repeats saved the day. If not for those repeats I would have missed seeing most of the movies I wanted to watch. :)
I always get so excited when I get that first peek in May of Christmas in July coming. I am a hopeless Christmas romantic...haha. Knowing me as you do Net, you now which movie I am hoping for in Christmas in July..."The Most Wonderful Time of the Year".
Oh, Net, It's not even officially Summer, yet, and already I'm so looking forward to "Christmas in July"!! I'm so excited, I can't hardly wait!! Let It Snow, Snow Bride, Finding Christmas, The Christmas Secret, The Christmas Note are some of the newer ones that I fell in love with but I'll take anything "Christmas" they decide to air!!
Sorry you can't see it, Eddie. I noticed it worked on my laptop, but not my iPad.
The commercial features quick clips of fairly recent Christmas movies... "The Christmas Parade", "Northpole: Open for Christmas", A Christmas Detour", "Ice Sculpture Christmas", "Crown for Christmas", "The 12 Gifts of Christmas", "A Cookie Cutter Christmas", "A Family for Christmas", "Let it Snow", A Princess for Christmas", and more...
I want to address another matter. I have tried everywhere to find the name of the soundtrack for the last part of I Do, I Do, I Do. It is beautiful and I just can't seem to find out. Can anyone help
I just saw a person was requesting "The Christmas Card." It is a beautiful story and I was able to purchase the DVD from Amazon. Now I view it all year long. Thank you again NET. Peace and Grace
I doubt Freeform will do Christmas in July. ABC Family hadn't done it in years and Freeform isnt a family targeting channel its a teen and young adult targeting one.
Christmas movies I'd like to see: Debbie Macomber's Dashing through the snow, Snow Bride, 12 gifts of Christmas, Window Wonderland, Finding Christmas, Catch a Christmas Star, Christmas under Wraps, Angels and Ornaments, Once upon a Holiday, Matchmaker Santa, Farewell Mr. Kringle, Help for the Holidays, and Thanksgiving House(not Christmas but came out at Christmas time). Also, would still love to see these all on dvd. Whew, I know it's a lot, but they're not on dvd. RG
"Snow Bride" is at least on DVD, so that's something! It took 2 years from when it premiered to when it made it to DVD, but at least it's there.
I think that there is a very good chance for "Dashing Through the Snow" and possibly "12 Gifts of Christmas" to get to DVD at some point. Maybe not both of them right away, but maybe one this year and then one later down the road.
It's not quite the same thing as having a DVD, but you can find at least a few of the titles you mentioned above on PixL's YouTube channel (such as "Matchmaker Santa," "Farewell, Mr. Kringle" and "Thanksgiving House" a.k.a. "Legally Tender").
That is another great list of Christmas Movies, RG, and as Sherry mentioned "Snow Bride" is now on DVD!!! But, it would be wonderful to see all the others you mentioned be released, too!!!
Christmas movies I would like to see: The Christmas Card(my favorite) November Christmas A Dog Named Christmas Christmas in Conway Christmas With Tucker The Christmas Wish The Most Wonderful Time of The year Mrs. Miracle A Very merry Mix-Up Angel of Christmas Let It Snow The Christmas Heart The Christmas Shepherd A Princess For Christmas One Starry Christmas The Christmas Note Match Maker Santa
