More from Hallmark Press Release:
Jennifer Shannon (Loughlin) can always find a diamond in the rough - when it comes to garage sales, that is! Whether it's a new antique to sell at her consignment shop, an Atari game for her son or a piece of furniture for her handy husband Jason (Ravanello) to refurbish, she has made a career out of her treasure hunting prowess. When a string of burglaries hits her town, Jennifer's keen eye for detail and her natural problem solving instincts even help her see the connection between these burglaries and local garage sales! Jennifer works with Detective Adam Iverson (Dunbar) to investigate her theory that the perpetrators of the burglaries are fellow garage sale regulars. The case escalates to dangerous levels when Jennifer discovers the dead body of her friend. Even though the deceased's husband, Ben Douglas (Bancroft), finds nothing missing in their house, and the police label the death as accidental, Jennifer suspects that the death may be related to the burglaries.
With just her treasure hunting skills and problem solving instincts, she finds and pieces together clues to the burglaries and her friend's death. As she gets closer to the truth, however, Jennifer discovers that crime solving can be far more perilous than any garage sale. Can she uncover the "Garage Sale Mystery" before it's too late, or will her investigation create problems that not even Jennifer can solve?

Looking forward to this one. Sounds like a good movie.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVED this movie! It was suspenseful, funny and entertaining. The characters and plot were believable. Thank you Hallmark!
ReplyDeleteWatched Garage Sale Mystery last night and I loved it. Great plot, and I always liked mystery movies (I'm also a fan of the mystery woman movies). Wonderful chemistry between all the actors, and I recognized some of them, who have been in other Hallmark productions. Would love to see this become a series of movies or a TV series.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the movie. Can't wait for another to be done.
ReplyDeleteI just watched this movie. Loved it. Can't wait for another.
ReplyDeleteLoved it!!! Didn't you say it's possible this could become a series on Hallmark Channel?? I sure hope so, especially with "the key" ending.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like everyone enjoyed "Garage Sale Mystery". I know - I did, too... and twitter is buzzing with everyone asking if there will be more... a sequel or series?
ReplyDeleteActually, Susan, this was surprisingly not one of the movies I mentioned they were considering for a spin-off, but I do hope Hallmark will consider it now. The ending of the movie certainly hinted at it.
Here's a link to the potential spin-off series:

Thank you so much for your kind response! Let's all hope for a series. It sounds like with the success of Cedar Cove and people wanting good family entertainment it could be a possibility.
ReplyDeleteI'm watching the film right now, on the Hallmark Movie Channel. They're doing a "Triple Feature" this Memorial Day - there must be two other Garage Sale Mystery movies, that'll be shown today, after this.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to search for info on this movie, and I found this blog entry. I think I've been to your site before, when I was looking up another Hallmark movie.
Welcome back to my site, It's a Wonderful Movie! It's great your search brought you here! I hope you enjoyed "Garage Sale Mystery" and any of the sequels, or other mysteries, that aired on Memorial Day!
DeleteThere are 3 Garage Sale Mystery movies now... the first is just simply Garage Sale Mystery, the next is... Garage Sale Mystery: All That Glitters, and the third is Garage Sale Mystery: Deadly Room. You can find more details and links to all three movies by clicking on Made for TV Movies - directly under the banner above!
Thank you for visiting my site, again, Aakash, and for leaving a comment, too! I hope you will make yourself at home. All movie watchers are friends here! :) :) :)
I can't find any info on why all the cast changes on Garage Sale mysteries (husband, daughter, son). No offense to the new actors, they are fine. My daughter and I really miss the original son actor :(
ReplyDeleteI agree!!!
DeleteI liked the original son too. Dont remember much of the 1st daughter but I like the 2nd daughter & especially the 2nd husband! The 1st detective was cuter but the 2nd one has personality. Glad they didnt change her shop partner. What is up with all these cast changes?
ReplyDeletePersonally, I preferred the entire first cast dynamic, and although we are devoted to the series were annoyed not just by the cast changes, but by their plot changes as well ( Hannah is completely different no longer a college student in second, now she is younger)
