PLOT:

from Hallmark:

A single mother with no time for dating suddenly finds herself with thousands of potential suitors in “All I Want For Christmas,” a Hallmark Original Movie premiering Saturday, December 1 (9/8c). Emmy® nominee Gail O’Grady (“NYPD Blue,” “American Dreams”), SAG Award winner Greg Germann (“Ally McBeal”) and Robert Mailhouse (Hallmark Channel’s “Thicker Than Water”) star in the film, which suggests that what we wish for the most is often closer than we imagine.

Sara (O’Grady) has had little time to worry about a love life since her husband died seven years ago, as romance has taken a back seat to raising her wise-beyond-his-years son, Jesse (Jimmy Jax Pinchak, “The Polar Express”), and running a local community center. But when Jesse enters a toy company contest that asks children for their greatest Christmas wish, asking them to find his mom a new husband, Sara suddenly finds herself in a whirlwind of dates, with cameras following her every move.

Soon, it becomes obvious that she has more chemistry with Roger (Germann), the son of the toy company CEO, than with any of the official bachelors. But as Sara gets to know the wealthy Roger better, Jesse begins to realize that he would rather see his mom end up with Ben (Mailhouse), their longtime friend and neighbor who is attractive, loyal…and unavailable. It may take a miracle for the right man to win out, Jesse figures, but that’s what Christmas is about!

Movie Review:

I absolutely loved this movie... the casting was terrific! I am a big fan of Gail O'Grady and Robert Mailhouse... so I loved them together in this! ... And the boy who played Sara's (Gail O'Grady) son, Jesse, was ideal. He perfectly matched the look of Gail with his cute blonde curly hair... and was refreshing and fun! He showed great energy and enthusiasm with his character. They were perfect together.

The entire movie was delightful... a wonderful wholesome family fun Holiday Movie. There were great lessons to be learned in it, as well... due to Sara's working in the community center providing food for those in need. She showed a servant's heart and a deep desire to help others... which was a great contrast to the wealthy freely-spending executive, Roger Nelson (played by Greg Germann), whom she finds herself engaged to.

Then Sara suddenly finds her heart is conflicted between Roger and her devoted neighbor and friend, Ben (played by Robert Mailhouse) ... who has always been there for her over the years - helping her along the way with her son. Who does she really love?

I think you'll love the answer -- and maybe, just possibly, the dvd cover (pictured below) kind of gives it away, too!!!

  1. Do you have a twitter account? We just discovered you and are so excited to find a kindred spirit. Our tradition after Thanksgiving is to cuddle up on the couch drinking hot chocolate (or whatever) eating cookies... baking... and seeing how many cheesy Christmas movies we can watch. Your blog is fantastic. WE LOVE IT!!

    Happy Christmas Movie Watching!
