Happy National Day of Prayer!

Blessings to you all on this National Day of Prayer!

As we mark this special day, let's come together in harmony to pray for our nation and those who lead it.

Today, we unite our hearts nationwide, offering prayers for restoration and revival.

By humbling ourselves before the Lord, we have faith that He hears us and responds with love and grace.

Prayer transcends a simple moment; it’s a call for God to engage and intervene in extraordinary ways.

My prayer...

Dear Lord, Jesus... I pray that you will restore and heal our land.

Help us come together in seeking You first and foremost.

I lift up my dear family, friends, and those who lead over us, and I pray for a hopeful, bright future.

May peace fill our hearts and extend throughout our nation and around the world.

I pray many will discover the true joy and serenity in knowing and trusting in You, Lord.

Thank you, Jesus, the Lamb of God, for taking away our sins and for your sacrifice that offers us redemption.

You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.

Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

In Jesus' mighty name,

Amen.

If you have a prayer request, please share in the comments below. My family and I have been praying about a challenging situation, and we recently witnessed the Lord's powerful intervention, knowing without a doubt, that His grace guided us through. And I pray the same for you.

The images above are from "When Hope Calls" Season 2, Episode 3. At the end of the day, the orphan children knelt in prayer, giving thanks to the Lord for their home and safety. This beautiful scene touched my heart deeply. May we all be thankful for the blessings we have and trust in Him, especially when we face life's many challenges.

God bless you all...

Praying for Peace...

Today, I am praying earnestly for our Country, President Donald J. Trump, the family and friends of the rally attendee, Corey Comperatore, whose life was lost, those in critical condition, and those who were injured physically and emotionally from this evil attack.

I believe Divine Intervention from our Heavenly Father and Angel Armies protected President Trump yesterday, July 13, 2024, from an attempted assassination. God's protective hand was upon him for a greater purpose.

While watching the rally live yesterday on TV with my family, I was in complete shock when I heard the pops of gunfire. I jumped up from my seat to get a closer look as President Trump ducked for cover as bullets flew by. As we waited to see if he was okay, the seconds felt like an eternity, and my family and I prayed he would be safe.

This is a defining moment in time, in history, that none of us will ever forget.

President Trump released a statement this morning, profoundly expressing that "it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening." He concluded by saying we must stay strong and not let evil win.

President Donald J. Trump's full statement - Sunday, July 14, 2024:

“Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness. Our love goes out to the other victims and their families. We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded, and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so horribly killed. In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win. I truly love our Country, and love you all, and look forward to speaking to our Great Nation this week from Wisconsin.”

God bless you all! I, too, believe that evil will NOT be triumphant in the end.

May God Bless America,

Pray for Israel

Dear Friends,

The news that came out this weekend in Israel has been most heartbreaking. I know many of you are already praying, as I am, for the Israeli citizens and the tourists who are visiting there.

I've been watching news reports with my family and have been horrified by some of the images and videos I've seen.

Words cannot express how devastating and awful this act of violence is on this country.

God bless our friends in Israel, and may God also bless and guide America as we support this Holy Nation.

Happy National Day of Prayer!

"Blessed is the Nation
whose God is the Lord;
and the people whom He hath chosen
for His own inheritance."
~Psalm 33:12

History of this day...

The National Day of Prayer is observed annually on the first Thursday in May. This observance, designated by the United States Congress, asks people “to turn to God in prayer and meditation.” Every President, since 1952, has recognized this day with a Presidential Proclamation.

The 2023 Theme for The National Day of Prayer...

"PRAY FERVENTLY IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND AVAIL MUCH"

JAMES 5:16B tells us:
"THE EFFECTIVE, FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILS MUCH.

My thoughts...

When we turn on the news these days, it's easy to see that this world is in a spiritual battle. Our youth are being indoctrinated more than ever before with immoral principles - right in their very classrooms. I believe when prayer was taken out of schools in 1962, that's when evil was welcomed in.

That's why we must, as Christians and Christ followers, join in prayer on this day... to praise God and pray for our families, our country, our world, our leaders today and in the future, our military, fellow citizens, neighbors, believers and non-believers, the church, schools, businesses, and so much more. Let's turn to God, seeking with all of our hearts His guidance and grace in our world today.

Even though we all go through different seasons in our lives, the Bible tells us to "pray without ceasing."

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says:
"Rejoice at all times.
Pray without ceasing.
Give thanks in every circumstance,
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.…

Praying for Peace in Ukraine

My heart is breaking as I watch the news. Like many of you, my prayers are going out today - to the innocent people in Ukraine, whose country is being attacked. I know there are many scared and hurt people right this very minute. They are confused and don't know where to go. Please, Lord, help them to escape to safety, wherever that may be.

I know there must be many, many prayer requests, but I saw this specific one on Twitter this morning and I wanted to ask you all to join me in prayer for this brave family - in the face of danger...

@sarahrlacour requested prayer for:

"If you need specific names to focus your prayers for Ukraine, please pray for my friends Tanya and Andre and their family. Tanya and the youngest children are evacuating and helping the disabled childrens home evacuate. Andre + oldest son are joining the army and fighting."

The image above is of Christians who joined in prayer, out in the snow and bitter cold in Ukraine, praying and fasting over their country. Let us join our Christian brothers and sisters in prayer during this critical, difficult time.

If you know someone who needs prayer or if you'd like to give your thoughts on what is happening, as well, please share in comments below.

I fear, this is just the beginning with Ukraine. There will be more dictators who seek power and land-grabs elsewhere after this. Ukraine is weaker today, and sadly, America is, as well. Please, also join me in prayer for the future of our country and the world.

God bless you all, Net

Psalm 91:

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Happy National Day of Prayer!

To honor this special day, I thought I would share it's significance via a statement from https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org:

"In this anniversary year when we are celebrating the 70th National Day of Prayer observance, seven decades of American Presidents, by law, calling for prayer for our nation, it would be easy to rest on our laurels, but we cannot! We must press into the coming decades even MORE fervently, knowing that the challenges for our nation are INCREASING, not DECREASING!

We see where our nation is when held up to the standard of God’s Eternal Word, and the task may seem daunting, but we serve GOD ALMIGHTY! Imagine what our nation would look like if God’s people had NOT been praying. From the beginning, prayer has been woven into the very fabric of our country … it has been the thread that God has used to knit us together and to hold our nation together. Now imagine America without prayer – if weary hearts were tattered and torn into silence.

We are the ones who are called to mend the fraying fabric of our culture, by appealing to our God WHO IS ABLE to do exceedingly, abundantly above what we can even ask or think! Now that’s an America that I want to imagine!

Join the 2021 National Broadcast on Thursday evening May 6th from 8-10 pm ET. You can stream it below or you can watch on television via Daystar, God TV, TLN and others or listen on many of your favorite Christian radio networks."

God bless you all dear friends, Net
