Hope you all enjoy this last weekend of Summer - as Fall begins next Wednesday! I'm planning to be outdoors and soak up some sunshine - before the weather turns too chilly. I've noticed our leaves are gradually turning, but we haven't had too many fall from the trees, just yet! How about you? Is Fall creeping into your landscape, yet, outside your window?

As for the new stuff on TV this weekend: I am especially looking forward to seeing the wedding on "Chesapeake Shores;" I love the way the family is always there for one another, lifting each other up and supporting each other - in good times and bad. It should be extra special to see them all enthusiastically celebrating Jess' big day - with tears and laughter!

As for the new movies: I love both actresses, Laura Osnes and Danielle C. Ryan, in previous films... so we'll see how these two new movies go!

It's time to Mark the 25th day of the month again, as we countdown to Christmas! As of April 25th - 8 months to go!

 
Did any of you have snow this past week? Yes, SNOW in April! We ended up receiving about 3 inches here on the farm in the Midwest. It was beautiful to watch the snowy scene from my warm spot inside. It definitely felt more like Christmastime, then Spring! I could hardly believe it as I looked out my window - there was snow on our lilacs and daffodils! It has all melted away now and we are expecting warmer temps this weekend, but it was rather fun to get that little taste of Christmas once more.

For all of you Christmas movie fans who wish to participate in marking the 25th, simply pick something Christmassy to watch Sunday, April 25th! (Or, Saturday will work, too!) It can be a Christmas movie, cartoon, family sitcom or anything you like. (There's only one stipulation - it must be family friendly.) Then, please share in comments below your Christmas choice for the day!

I hope you all have a cozy, sunny Spring weekend. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather and being outside more, and enjoying the movies + When Calls the Heart Sunday night! I think there's going to be a lot of couples dealing with emotion during Florence and Ned's wedding. Should be interesting! I'm so happy to see these two say I do, and I'm delighted Katie, Ned's daughter, has returned for this special day, even though she's not quite ready for her father to remarry. As the previews have hinted, the conversation Elizabeth has with her not only changes Katie's heart, but it may also make Elizabeth realize what's in her own.

PLOT:

I join all the Hearties in looking forward to this wonderful wedding event, as I will most definitely be watching, along with my family, and recording Sunday night's very special episode of "When Calls the Heart!" My love and admiration for Elizabeth and Jack has grown over the years; I'm so happy to see them finally reach this very special day, even if there are a few obstacles in the way.

From the first time I picked up Janette Oke's When Calls the Heart book series, I have been mesmerized by these stories and these strong characters. I cannot tell you how thrilled I was when that first pilot movie came to the Hallmark Channel and I could finally see Elizabeth Thatcher come to life on the screen. The stories have evolved from those frontier-era hard days in Coal Valley, to a more robust, growing, inspiring town of Hope Valley...but no matter the time or place, it's the people there we have all grown to love, those that will be celebrating the wedding of their dear friends, Elizabeth Thatcher and Jack Thornton, such as Rosemary and Lee Coulter (I just adore them!), Abigail Stanton, Pastor Frank Hogan, Cody, Clara, Jesse, Bill Avery, Carson Shepherd, Faith Carter, Opal, Philip, Anna, Robert, Timmy, Dottie Ramsey, William Thatcher, Julie Thatcher, Tom Thornton, Ned Yost, Katie, Mike Hickam, and so many more.
