Alison Sweeney Reveals Delicious News for her Hannah Swensen Mystery Franchise 🔎 #Sleuthers SEE HERE:

During an interview with TVInsider - Alison Sweeney shared some wonderful news for all mystery fans! Her latest "Hannah Swensen Mystery" installment won't be the last!

"Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery" premieres this upcoming FRIDAY, May 19th, 2023, at 9pm/8c. on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and details on the next "Hannah Swensen Mystery" movie are already being revealed.

According to Alison's interview with TVInsider, these are the details given for the next "Hannah Swensen Mystery" after they solve the "Carrot Cake Murder"... 

"Then, in the next film, Hannah’s mother Delores (Barbara Niven) is the one to find the dead body of a homeowner while house-hunting for her sister Michelle. Hannah will once again work with her friend Norman (Gabriel Hogan), and she becomes convinced all is not as it seems at the victim’s house."

Learning this news is almost equivalent to being served dessert before the main course. I can't help but wonder if they are finally getting the clue that sleuthers are hesitant to start watching another mystery, since they've already canceled numerous fan-favorites. By promising mystery fans another episode in the "Hannah Swensen Mystery" wheel after this new one, that may be a good way to bring the viewers back - since ratings have taken a dip recently.

"Murder, She Baked" fans have been devoted since the first movie, "Murder, She Baked: A Chocolate Chip Cookie Mystery" aired on May 2, 2015. The series began with a love triangle between Hannah (Alison Sweeney), Mike (Cameron Mathison), and Norman (Gabriel Hogan). As the series progressed, so did Hannah's relationship with Mike, and much to Hannah's mother's (Barbara Niven) chagrin, the two are still engaged in "Carrot Cake Murder," and according to Alison's recent interview, wedding plans are progressing very slowly.

Will fans keep watching the "Hannah Swensen Mysteries"? That is yet to be seen. "Murder, She Baked" has had a big following since 2015, and many fans have remained captivated by Hannah's story, even when the series transitioned to a new title with "Hannah Swensen Mystery." Viewers didn't really mind the new title or that they changed the town's name from Eden Lake to Lake Eden, but what really disappointed a lot of fans was that they added on another sister, Michelle (Tess Atkins), out of the blue, and removed her other sister, Andrea (Lisa Durupt), who was a fan-favorite. Hopefully, Michelle, the new sister, will end up being a good addition to the series, but I'm still missing Andrea, who moved away with her family. Since they are planning more "Hannah Swensen Mysteries," I would love to see her return for a visit, which of course, involves a delicious mystery and, hopefully, a wedding!

💒❤️ The Wedding Wish

Is this movie family-friendly? - I'm not sure. Jenny's best friend is male and his manner and voice is suggestive of gay men we see in other movies but there's nothing definite and he has no dubious interaction with other male characters so I think it's a case of make your own mind up.

*SPOILERS FROM HERE ON"

I have always said that with Rom.Coms you do often have to suspend belief but the main thrust of the plot is just plain daft. Having had a fortune-teller predict she would fall in love and then marry on her 35th birthday Jenny decides to organise the complete wedding -venue, reception, flowers etc all without a fiance and she's not even currently dating. (There's only three months to go)

It's just weird.

Enter Blake (whom you rarely see without an annoying smile on his face) an author who is having mental block and needs Jenny's help for his next book (that's her job).

After an inauspicious start they come to an arrangement to help each other - Jenny with Blake's book and he to pose as her fake fiance in setting up the mechanics of the wedding.

Meanwhike Jenny goes to speed dating and after an initial mix-up teams up with Blake whom she is attracted to and decides he will be THE husband but without telling him.

Just before the wedding Blake asks Jenny to go to Paris with him (no mention of co-habiting so again make your own mind up).

She then winges that they were to get married in a couple of days - big news to Blake who tells her to wise up and immediately breaks things off.

Can you blame the guy for running as quick as he can in the opposite direction especially when they've only known each other for such a very short while?

There is, of course, the obligatory face-off between Jenny and Tyler who at this stage insinuates that he has had deep feelings for her but there is a nice unexpected twist and maybe not the ending you might think.

There is a certain amount of chemistry between Jenny and Tyler although not in spades but she only suddenly decides she has had feelings for him all along after he also has apparently had enough of her.

I don't really buy it.

I personally find the movie superficial and much as I have great admiration for Reel One movies which are generally family-friendly and of a pleasing standard this for me is not one of their better offerings.

Storyline: When Kelsey's magazine approves her pitch about a skeptic's take on love and horoscopes, she is teamed up with Astrology guru, Carter. Clearly from opposite worlds, they put their competing perspectives aside to work the story around a local meteor shower festival. Through both fact and fate, they soon unearth that love really can be written in the stars.

While Laura struggles with small-town life, and while Jim resists the idea of joining forces with a large business, the two soon discover how well their differences work together. With a dash of trust and a splash of kindness, Jim and Laura’s friendship slowly marinates into something much sweeter.

Movie Reviews:

🍲🍔 The Secret Sauce is family-friendly, delightful, and light-hearted. The small-town community feel is heartwarming. Overall, the storyline is fairly straightforward and easy-going, with no major plot twists or surprises. I enjoyed both leads, Tori Anderson and Corey Sevier, and their chemistry was just as sweet as the sauce! Marketing executive Laura Glickman (Tori Anderson) comes from the big city of Chicago to the mid-west to persuade the laid-back, set-in-his-ways, Jim Covell (Corey Sevier) into selling the recipe for his secret sauce. Course, their relationship may become more than mere business. I enjoyed this charming movie, and I hope you will, too! Fair warning: It might induce you to fire up the BBQ! ~Net

🎄 "Paris Christmas Waltz" is Coming to Great American Family! 🌟 See WHO will Star...

Early this morning, while practicing her dance steps for her upcoming Christmas movie for Great American Family, which requires learning the Viennese waltz, actress Jen Lilley, who is a busy mother to four young children with her husband, Jason, shared some exciting Christmas movie news while responding to followers comments.

Between dance breaks, Jen revealed that she would be traveling to Paris to film her new Christmas movie with producers/director Janeen and Michael Damian next month. Even though Jen has never learned this particular waltz or Cha-cha, which are both required for the film, she said she told the Damians that she is a very hard worker and dedicated to learning, even if it means she has to get up very early in the morning to do so.

Last month, an official announcement was made revealing filmmakers Janeen and Michael Damian inked 3 movie deals with Brad Krevoy’s Motion Picture Corporation of America. One of those films is Paris Christmas Waltz, which is being described as a follow-up to Lacey Chabert and Will Kemp's popular Christmas movie, The Christmas Waltz. Since both Lacey and Will have contracts with Hallmark, it's apparent they won't be seen in this follow-up film, which will be airing on Great American Family this upcoming Christmas season. No word, yet, on who Jen Lilley's dancing partner will be!

I am thrilled to share this Christmas movie news with you all today!

From the moment I first watched the movie, A Princess for Christmas in 2011 and learned that Michael and Janeen Damian were the ones behind the creation of this spectacular, heartwarming Christmas film, I knew they were something extra special! Since then, many of the movies they have made over the years have been mine and overall fan-favorites, including Christmas Waltz, A Royal Christmas, A Hot Cocoa Christmas, etc...

And I have a feeling Jen Lilley is going to waltz her way into our hearts this Christmas on Great American Family!

I love the scene pictured above in A Lot Like Christmas when they give the mother in the movie a group hug. In spite of the possibility of losing their business, they look on the positive and feel so blessed to have each other and good friends!

Storyline: Danielle (Tamera Mowry-Housley), a one-time off-Broadway performer and former backup singer, and Claire (Chelsea Hobbs), a once-aspiring dancer, both had dreams of making it to the Broadway stage. Many failed auditions and years later, Danielle is married Mark (Roger Cross), a successful lawyer, and has a ballerina daughter, who is positioned for NYC ballet, living in the Upper East Side. Claire is a single mother raising two sons and working as a bookkeeper in the Garment District. Now consumed with motherhood, they no longer have time for themselves and have deferred their own dreams. Danielle’s brother RJ (Andrew J. Hampton) introduces the two after Claire begins taking classes at his dance studio. He is impressed with Claire’s dance technique and wants to bring the women together to compete in a nationally televised talent contest. As they start practicing for the show, Danielle and Claire begin to regain their sense of self and passion they once had as performers. When competing priorities arise with their families and cause them to reconsider, the pair ultimately realize they need to show up for themselves and set an example to never give up your dreams. Hey, movie friends! Have you heard the latest entertainment news involving Great American Media that was released on Thursday afternoon? Pure Flix (the streaming service) will be merging with Great American Media!

I've had a subscription with Pure Flix for a couple years, and I've watched some excellent faith-filled and inspirational films through their streaming service. However, even with all the hits I've seen, I've also seen some misses, too, but that's to be expected.

Pure Flix offers religious and family-friendly movies and TV series for streaming, so I believe Great American Media's original films and programming will be an ideal fit.

Sony Pictures’ Faith and Family Streaming Service to Join Forces with Great American Media’s Portfolio of Family-Friendly Cable and FAST Channels to Serve Growing Audiences

Culver City, CA and New York, NY – May 11, 2023 – Pure Flix, a leading faith and family streaming platform owned by Sony Pictures Television, and Great American Media, home to a growing portfolio of family-friendly media brands, today announced the signing of an agreement to merge the two companies. Pure Flix will become part of the merged company, with Great American Media contributing two cable networks (Great American Family and Great American Living) and a FAST channel (Great American Adventures). Great American Media will retain a majority interest in the merged company and will oversee day-to-day management of the independent organization.

Great American Media President and CEO, Bill Abbott, will serve as CEO of the merged entity, reporting to the company’s board of directors. The new company will build on the multi-faceted, multi-channel family and faith media brands in the portfolio. Closing of the deal is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.

Pure Flix and Great American Media share the same mission to serve and delight consumers in the family and faith categories. Combining the power of Great American Media’s linear networks and FAST channel with Pure Flix’s SVOD service and vast content library will provide an opportunity for each platform to reach a larger and broader audience. Bringing the brands together into one entity will immediately establish the company as a leader in the genres.

“In a media environment where programming and distribution business models are in a constant state of flux, this agreement provides a rare opportunity to maximize our potential with the expertise, market knowledge and content creation capabilities of a world class partner like Sony Pictures,” said Abbott. “This merger will allow us to further our commitment to original, quality content and makes Great American Media and Pure Flix leaders in a large and under-served market.”

“Family-friendly entertainment remains an important segment of the industry, and merging these two entities will create the greatest opportunity to achieve more scale for Pure Flix as it continues to build its subscriber base,” said Ravi Ahuja, Chairman of Global Television Studios and Corporate Development for Sony Pictures. “Bill and the Great American Media team have been successfully leading the Great American Family and Great American Living brands, and we believe they have a winning plan to take Pure Flix to even greater heights.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SPT acquired Pure Flix in December 2020. The service provides faith and family-friendly movies and TV series to its ~1M subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.

Featuring original Christmas movies, rom-coms and classic series that celebrate faith, family and country, Great American Family is currently in ~50M homes and is carried by all major cable providers. Great American Family recently closed out First Quarter 2023 as the fastest-growing network on TV for the second consecutive quarter.
