Have a great weekend, everyone!

I'm looking forward to spending some special, quality time with my family, and on Sunday evening - we'll be watching the conclusion of When Calls the Heart's Season 11, as it wraps up with the wedding of Mike and Mei, the return of Fiona, Rosemary and Lee's offer to the betterment of Hope Valley, surprises, secrets, and more! Will there be a cliffhanger? Oh, I sure hope not, but... we'll see! I just want to say how much I have enjoyed watching this family-friendly show week after week with my family. It's rare these days to have a wholesome program that everyone can watch together, and I'm grateful we've had this relaxing, entertaining hour every week. I will definitely miss it come next Sunday, but I'm glad we'll have the Christmas movies then!

Here in the Midwest, we've been experiencing quite the heatwave, and I'm sure many of you across the U.S. and elsewhere have been/are encountering the same sizzling temps! Hopefully, Hallmark Mystery's *Merry Movie Week* and Christmas in July will put us all in a cooler state of mind. I'm sooo looking forward to catching some of my favorite Christmas movies here and there throughout the weekend. Two movies I'm especially hoping to see are Miracle in Bethlehem, PA. and A Veteran's Christmas!

Please know, I haven't prescreened the new TV movies airing this weekend, Hallmark Channel's Passport to Love movie, Two Scoops of Italy, and UPtv's June Grooms movie, Discovering Love. If you'd like to share a review after they air, please do so in comments below.

Have a Blessed,
Wonderful Weekend!

    1. Maria, I hope you end up enjoying at least one of them. It's sometimes hard to tell from previews. The UPtv movie is giving me a feel of "Pearl in Paradise."

  2. Yay! Merry Movie Week is here! The old Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movies are my favorites.

I’ve been kind of worried about when they change over to Hallmark Mystery this Christmas. I hope they don’t lose that same feeling.

By the way, our temperature is nearing 100 today, Christie

    1. Christie, I've been wondering about that, too, and if things will be majorly different this Christmas now that it is Hallmark Mystery. Will their movies still have the same emotion and drama? I don't know. You're definitely not alone in wondering about this.

As for the weather... be safe and keep cool when you can. Our temps are in the low 90's.

  3. I believe you can probably watch all or most of the WCTH series if you are paying for cable or a service that provides you the network by using the blue Hallmark app. This is what I would consider thejr TV Everywhere app. It is free. You just have to sign in by telling them about what you use to obtain the channel to verify that you do in fact pay a provider or service. When you have signed into the app, you will see all the Hallmark channels your provider offers live. This is exactly what you would see if you were watching the channel live on your TV. The next line on their home page is When Calls the Heart episodes. If you don’t have the app, just go to any Hallmark network’s homepage and click on the black option “Hallmark TV” on the top of the page to be able to have access to the same offerings available on the app. I know this is probably just a reminder for people about the option as it has been available for years. I also know probably most people have Amazon Prime, but If not, I hate to see people pay for one more thing in order to catch up on the episodes. I hope this helps. Thanks!

Plus, I wholeheartedly agree... we've got to find the deals where we can these days!

Speaking of WCTH, I don’t want it to be over on Sunday. 😒 But I also can’t wait to see how this season ends! LOL!

    2. Hi Maria,

Trying again to post my comments. :-) This is my third attempt. Anyway, I agree with you. "Two Scoops of Italy" was clean but so boring! I fell asleep twice in the first thirty minutes!! So suffice it to say, we deleted the movie, from our dvr, without finishing it. For the most part, this year has been seriously disappointing from a quality and entertaining experience with regard to the overall slate of movies across all channels for me. Yes, there have been a few gems, but I find myself wanting to watch older Hallmark movies which were much better. I am holding out hope for Christmas in July and Christmas 2024 on GAF, Hallmark and Uptv.

      Delete
    3. I see your comment, and yes. This year with Hallmark ahs been really dull. Yeah, there are mostly clean movies this time around, but so many of them have only been good enough for first time watches! What kind of writers do they even have now to make a clean movie actually look good enough for more then a 1 time watch?! -Maria

  12. WCTH- So, Jack is either still alive or Nathan is about to blamed again for his death. Gotta say, Elizabeth sure does have amusing choice in 'boyfriends'! (LOL!!). She's so stupid, it's laughable.

  14. We have a CLIFFHANGER!!!! it's official. I'm probably going to have a hard time sleeping. My mind will be too busy thinking...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

•Some says Jacks alive. I don't think they would, and the mountie said LATE husband.

•Maybe his body was never found and is now recovered. I don't remember them saying it was recovered or not. Their was a coffin, but if no body, it's normal to fill it with memory items.

•Maybe they are are honoring him somehow, but the mountie seemed stressed and urgent.

•Or maybe there is new evidence stating that his death was not an accident and they want to give more mystery to the show since it was a success this season with Bill and Rosemary.

Those are my ideas for now. What are yours???

I am so anxious to see the season 12 trailer ... Haha;)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I have a new theory...

Maybe they found evidence that Jack's death was jot and accident and Nathan was the original target. He did take Jack's place that day and I was reminded today Hargreaves was the only one who knew that information. Who would be a threat to Nathan. I'm leaning towards Dylan or Hargreaves.

      Delete
    2. Abigail, Yes, we definitely got a whopper of a cliffhanger!!! I figured it was coming.

Your last point is where I'm leaning. I'm wondering if whatever is revealed might draw a wedge between Elizabeth and Nathan for awhile. Or maybe they will work together? Not sure there.

I'm all for having Bill and Rosemary team up together again! That was one of my favorite parts of season 11!

Did you also catch that Lucas asked Lee to join him in Capitol City for awhile to set things up for the National Park? I wonder if the two of them will be shown there or will they just not be in a few episodes???

Lindsay Sturman, who is the WCTH showrunner, confirmed to TVGuide that “Jack is not coming back,” but they plan to “keep his memory alive,” which could potentially still mean a few flashbacks of Daniel Lissing.

Anyway, it was an interesting way to end the episode, which will undoubtedly leave Hearties guessing until the show returns next year.

Thank you, Abigail, for sharing your WCTH ideas! I so enjoyed hearing your thoughts! :)

      Delete
    3. I needed to get my thoughts down before bed. Haha...

I think it would make an interesting mystery if Jack's death wasn't an accident and was meant for Nathan all along. Hargreaves would be a suspect. He is very bitter towards Nathan, but he might be to obvious.

I doubt it would put a wall between Elizabeth and Nathan. He might feel guilty. But I am sure their love for each other will keep them on the same side. Her apology and declaring her love for him was so sweet.

On another note concerning Hargreaves. I and some heartie friends were wondering if he used to be in love with Nathan's sister before Dylan and is the real biological father and maybe that is the reason for the bitterness towards Nathan. Maybe he blames her for her death and maybe he caused the landslide. Maybe it is also the reason for Dylan refusing to see Allie, because he wasn't her father.

      Delete
    4. And yes, concerning Lee and Lucas. Maybe he'll end up staying in Hope Valley after all. Like Lucas did. I hope so. He's one of my favorite characters. He's like the Charles Ingalls of Hope Valley, a man with great chart. Where people trust him and follow for good reasons!

  17. Hi everyone, so my take on all of this is that for me personally, it’s hard to really get into a new movie when I am not familiar with the main actors. The Love and Honey one, I thought the banter between him and the main actress was cute and of course I loved the scenery, but it was hard for me to really get into it because I didn’t feel the chemistry between them (as I maybe would have if it was him and a familiar actress I love). So it was a one time watch for me, not necessarily bad, just one of those one time watches. It’s hard because it’s nice to have new fresh faces but then it’s hard to believe the chemistry sometimes….for me at least. But I am willing to give all these new movies a try because I am thankful that hallmark is consistently providing us with new movies. The new scoops of Italy one, I will for sure be watching it but I was distracted by all the Christmas movies this weekend Lol

  18. I hate cliffhangers. I hate that every show feels the need to end every season with one. It used to be that only soap operas did that. I know they just got Elizabeth and Nathan together, but I hope they speed things along and let them get married next season. Jack (Daniel) has been gone for 6 seasons. It’s time for Elizabeth to have her happily ever after and drag someone else’s romance out. Lucas, Faith, Fiona, Bill… just let Elizabeth and Nathan have their family already. Lee better not be leaving permanently. One of the reasons Elizabeth likes her row house is having her bestie Rosemary next door. Plus I don’t want Kavan and Pascale to leave the show. However I would be fine if Chris left. He’s fine, I’m just not a fan of Lucas. Sorry for the rant. πŸ˜‚

    1. Anon, I know exactly what you mean regarding Cliffhangers. They are no fun, especially when we have to wait a whole year to find out what it means.

I, too, adore Lee! Hope Valley would not be the same without him, and I would rather see Lee and Rosemary together, not separated, but maybe, that won't last long if he's working with Lucas in Capitol City. I can't see him leaving Goldie for an extended period of time.

And as for Lucas, maybe he will find love in the city, but hopefully, no more conniving women, like Jeanette Aucoin!

      Delete
  19. I watched the Heart to Hearties interview with Brian Bird and the showrunner Lindsay. They did confirm that Daniel Lissings is not coming back and that Jack Thornton is dead. They are also building a Capitol City site! So we will see Lucas and perhaps Lee there and not absent.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Abigail, I'm so glad you shared the info on the Capitol City set! That is wonderful news and really opens up a whole new world beyond Hope Valley! Lee and Rosemary are my favorites - so I couldn't imagine losing either one of them. I always thought Fiona should work with Lucas, too, but I don't think it sounds like Kayla Wallace will be returning fully to work on WCTH.

I also enjoyed reading your other story ideas above. There are so many possibilities!

On another WCTH subject, I saw some people on SM talking about the National Park idea and some aren't crazy about it, and I would have to agree. Someone mentioned a hospital would've been good, and I like that idea. For Hope Valley to grow, they would need more than one doctor, perhaps an actual school building, etc... A hospital would've provided an excellent location for storyline development. And Dr. Carter (Paul Greene), maybe, could've returned!!!! You know I keep pushing for Faith and Carter to get back together. :)

      Delete
    2. Net, that is a FABULOUS idea!!!! Practically gold!! Yeah, it would definitely pull in Dr. Carson one day, create jobs, and all those necessary expensive ex-rays and equipment Faith really needed.

I'm always commenting suggestions on the Heart to Hearties. I'm the AbigailPaige ;) I'll comment on the hospital idea. I've heard the writers say they like to look at the comments for inspiration.

And yes, I only see Faith with Carter!!!

  20. Hi all,

My hubby and I really 'dug' "Discovering Love" no pun intended! LOL If anyone has seen the movie you will understand. :-) The cast was wonderful. It was great seeing Cheri and Louis again. It was actually filmed on location in Greece. The setting was lovely and they threw in a few surprises. Archaeology has always fascinated me. It is important knowing where we all come from. Years ago, my husband, my son and I visited Jamestown VA where they were doing a dig. We both have ancestors who lived in Jamestown when it was founded so it was so cool to be there at that time.
