Elise MacReynolds is no fan of Christmas. Growing up on a tree farm meant every holiday was spent selling Christmas trees on a cold street corner. But when she loses her job and her dad breaks his leg, Elise agrees to run the family tree stand for one last season. Unfortunately for Elise, the family business that has always hosted the MacReynolds' Farms tree lot has been acquired by home decor conglomerate Brook Glen Elise gets off on the wrong foot with surly Brook Glen CEO Gary Dixon when she almost knocks him down while unloading a big tree. Gary thinks the trees are bad for business and sets in motion a plan to get rid of the lot, for good. Despite her battles with Gary, Elise finds herself catching the holiday spirit as she helps the denizens of NYC find their one perfect tree: Everyone from a baby-on-the-way couple, to a professional basketball team, to a young boy picking out his first tree. Christmas also proves to be the season for romance when charming repeat customer Darren admits he's been buying trees simply in the hopes of talking to Elise. But when Gary convinces the NYFD to impound the trees and shut down the lot, Elise must find a way to crack his scrooge exterior and make up for lost time. Can Elise pull off a Christmas Eve miracle in time to save the family business? With help from her new beau, family, friends and customers, and a little holiday magic, she just may have a shot.

"Duck the Halls" Christmas CD - featuring the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty

We were so excited when we first learned in the early part of June that the cast of Duck Dynasty would be creating a Christmas CD. It seems our entire family enjoys their half-hour shows on the A&E network, their personal stories, funny moments, faith in God, commitment to family, and Hey, .... Uncle Si!

Duck Commander CEO, Willie Robertson told Entertainment Tonight, “Faith, family and ducks — in that order — have always been our priorities. Christmas is an important holiday for us not only because of our strong faith but also our holiday family traditions. We’re having a great time making this album. So…. Who exactly will be participating? From information we have gathered on the internet – it looks like the entire family will be involved to some degree – from the oldest to the young ones, too! Singing on the CD, will be: Willie, Korie, Jase, Missy, Phil, Miss Kay, Uncle Si, and the rest of the Robertson family… including the grandkids!

"Second Chances" this weekend

First of all, you get a 'second chance' on Saturday to see a re-airing of the "Cedar Cove" original movie at 10 AM or 6 PM est. plus the Premiere of the weekly drama series at 8 PM est. on the Hallmark Channel.

Then, at 9 PM est., the Hallmark Channel will premiere their newest original movie, titled:
"Second Chances" starring Alison Sweeney and Greg Vaughn. (details below pic!)

In "Second Chances," Jenny McLean (Sweeney) is a single mom working at a 911-call center struggling to make ends meet and raise her two kids, Elsie (Labadie) and Luke (Stockham). Although still reeling from her divorce, Jenny can’t help but flirt when she gets emergency calls from Jeff (Vaughan), a local firefighter she nicknames “Cowboy” for his handsome voice. PLOT:

At fourteen, Pete Kidder (Gordon) is sick of being the middle child in his family, always overlooked by his parents (Parker and Roberts). Unlike his brothers, jock Jake (Wesley Morgan, “The Rocker”) and bookworm Kenny, (Peter DaCunha, “A Dark Truth), Pete hasn’t yet developed a distinct personality that sets him apart, and he often feels left out. With the kids’ grumpy grandfather (Dern) unexpectedly in town for Christmas, the pressure is on to make the day as great as Grandpa remembers with his late wife, but the holiday is filled with disastrous moments, including a toppling Christmas tree and a bout with food poisoning. Just when things can’t get any worse, Pete wakes up the next day and realizes he’s reliving December 25th all over again. Stuck repeating the day over and over, Pete panics, but slowly realizes, with the help of his new friend and next door neighbor, Katie (Madison), that he can use his unique gift for good and give this Christmas day the do-over it deserves.

“Pete’s Christmas” is an Eh-Okay Productions / Pete’s Christmas Productions Inc. in association with OutPost Media Inc. presented by Arc Entertainment, Walden Media, WalMart and Procter & Gamble.

Movie Review:

Pete’s Christmas was everything I expected it to be! There were definite similarities to the ABC Family Movie “Christmas Everyday” starring Erik Von Detten, yet since I already expected it- I didn’t mind it all. Instead of Basketball, Pete had some trouble with football and in “Christmas Everyday” the father and brother are having a disagreement, and in Pete’s Christmas it’s the father and the Grandpa.

I also saw things that reminded me of “Home Alone”, too…. The pizza delivery boy bringing the stack of pizzas and the younger brother drinking too much and wetting the bed. Also, in one scene Pete and his Grandfather decide to lick a pole, just like “A Christmas Story”.

I thought it was an interesting story about this family. Pete was such a real character, with relatable everyday problems and an usual problem, too… of re-living Christmas Day over & over!

I enjoyed the movie with my family and the great "unexpected" message behind it! I don’t want to give it away, but a small empty box, given to Pete, from his Grandfather will, in the end, give you the answer to true happiness!

"Cedar Cove" Christmas Episode - Part One:

As the holidays approach, Olivia is dead set on going to Philly to win Jack back, only to find out he is back in town unannounced to tie up loose ends. Seth returns to Cedar Cove with good news of a new business venture, but it’s complicated by Warren’s involvement. Meanwhile, a beautiful, pregnant stranger comes to town, and her true identity is a surprise to all, especially Jack.

"Cedar Cove" Christmas Episode - Part Two:

Christmastime is here, and Cedar Cove is a flurry of activity. Justine is shocked to learn Warren is under investigation by the FBI. She and Seth fear all is lost when it looks like their new restaurant is the target of arson. Eric finally turns up in town, and Jack is eager to help his son become a responsible father. While Grace does her best to make up for past mistakes with Cliff, Maryellen finally tracks down the ever elusive John Bowman.
