New Christmas Movie Starring Rachael Leigh Cook

I saw the announcement for this Christmas movie yesterday, and I was rather excited until I read the plot.

Rachael Leigh Cook & Freddie Prinze Jr., who you may remember starred together in the late 90s movie, She’s All That, will star opposite each other in the Fox Entertainment Studios film, The Christmas Affair. As the title suggests, the film hints at some romantic entanglements, possibly involving affairs between two couples.

Here's the storyline provided by Deadline:
The Christmas Affair follows superstar sportscasters Natalie (Cook) and Gabe (Prinze Jr.), who form an unlikely alliance after their spouses are caught cheating weeks before Christmas. As holiday chaos and media attention mount, they begin to fall for each other. But is this just a rebound…or the start of a real Christmas romance?

Would love to know your thoughts on this in the comments below. While I've always enjoyed Rachael in most of her previous Hallmark Christmas movies, especially Cross Country Christmas, this is one I'll personally be skipping. I absolutely don't like the idea of spouses cheating on each other, even if they are already being cheated on. What do you think? Please share below.

Stay tuned for more Christmas movie news.

Schedule Change to Hallmark Channel's Loveuary Movies and When Calls the Heart

The Wish Swap / When Calls the Heart / Sisterhood, Inc.
images via: Hallmark Media

A minor adjustment has been made to the previously announced schedule for the Hallmark Channel's 2025 Loveuary movies, and I wanted to make certain that everyone who visits here is informed of this update.

The recent change is a minor swap of two movies airing in February, plus Hearties will also want to note that When Calls the Heart will air at a different time and day.

The Wish Swap, starring Emily Tennant and Jake Foy, will now premiere on Saturday, February 8th, at 8pm/7c. Pascale Hutton (When Calls the Heart) will have a role in this movie (press image seen below), and you'll also see Crystal Lowe (Signed, Sealed, Delivered) in the supporting cast.

The Wish Swap

Sisterhood, Inc., starring Rachael Leigh Cook, Daniella Monet, and Leonidas Gulaptis, will now premiere on Saturday, February 22nd, at 8pm/7c.

Why did the schedule change? My guess is that Hallmark decided to switch these movies around since Pascale Hutton is in the film The Wish Swap, and When Calls the Heart will be airing that same Saturday night at a special time - 10pm/9c.!

So... why is When Calls the Heart airing on Saturday night on February 8th and not at it's usual time on Sunday night? The weekend in question coincides with Super Bowl Sunday, which falls on February 9th. Therefore, it seems justified to reschedule the air date to Saturday, as millions of viewers will be focused on the game on Sunday.

10 p.m. may be considered somewhat late, which could lead to some viewers expressing dissatisfaction; however, I am confident that dedicated fans will still tune in to watch or record the program regardless.

Happy watching, everyone!

Blessings,

Do you plan to watch these movies?

I think both of these new films premiering this week on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries look very appealing. The pairing of Rachael Leigh Cook and Benjamin Ayres looks exceptionally great to me, in A Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas. Plus, it's fun to see young actress Lina Renna will portray Benjamin's daughter. Fun fact: The little girl, Lina, also starred in Sweet Mountain Christmas, which is such a fun, new Lifetime Christmas movie! (I guess they left Linna on the mountain! haha! Not really!)

As for Holiday for Heroes, starring Melissa Claire Egan and Marc Blucas, I am always glad to see a movie that honors our military. Coming from a family who has served our country across various generations, I have a high regard for our veterans and those who currently serve. Since the basis for this story revolves around letter writing, it gives me a warming feeling, reminiscent of the classic Hallmark movie, The Christmas Card.

Happy Christmas Movie watching! Net

Frozen in Love - a Hallmark Channel Original "Winterfest" Movie starring Rachael Leigh Cook & Niall Matter!

MOVIE REVIEW

Movie: Frozen in Love

Network: Hallmark Channel

Original Air Date: January 13, 2018

CAST:

Rachael Leigh Cook ... Mary Cartwright
Niall Matter ... Adam Clayborn

PLOT:

Storyline via Hallmark: Mary faces the grim reality of her quaint but stagnant Denver store closing, she reaches out for some PR help to turn things around. At the same time, the handsomely wild, flashy “live-in-the-moment” Denver Royals hockey star Adam is sent to the same PR firm to fix his reputation, and the two are paired together in a seemingly mutually-beneficial buddy system: repair his image and give her the chance to reinvent the store and do something big to save it. Along the way, they both learn the important lesson that it doesn’t matter how many times you fall down, it only matters how many times you get back up again, which opens up two seemingly opposites for much needed change, and unexpected love.
