Love Under the Christmas Tree,
Begins Production in Buffalo
for Great American Christmas 2026,
A Heartwarming Christmas Tale
About Renewal
and Second Chances,
Starring Katie Leclerc
and Jeremy Guilbaut

NEW YORK, NY – December 11, 2025 – Great American Media announces it is in production in Buffalo on the first Great American Christmas movie of 2026, Love Under the Christmas Tree, starring Katie Leclerc and Jeremy Guilbaut, a heartfelt Original film that beautifully captures the spirit of promises kept, enduring love, and the true meaning of the holiday season. Great American Christmas celebrates faith, love, hope, and joy – Christmas as it is meant to be.

“As we bring Love Under the Christmas Tree to audiences, we continue to seek and nurture stories that make Christmas so meaningful,” said Kaitlyn Haubrich, Chief of Staff & CBO, Great American Media. “The film is a reflection of faith, love, and enduring traditions that bring families together at Christmas – stories that distinguish Great American Christmas from other holiday movie collections,” Haubrich concluded.

At its heart, Love Under the Christmas Tree follows Abby (Leclerc), who inherits her Aunt Helen’s cherished tree farm under the condition she spends 14 days working the farm to rediscover its true meaning. Through a few bumps along the way with Ethan, the farm’s longtime caretaker and Abby’s best childhood friend, Abby learns that the farm and its Christmas trees are symbols of faith, hope, and the timeless values of the season. Together, Abby and Ethan rekindle the beauty of caring for what truly matters: roots, relationships, care, community, and the true spirit of Christmas.

Love Under the Christmas Tree is Produced by Anthony Fankhauser. Kelly Edwards directs from an Original Screenplay by Riley Weston.

If you watched the Great American Family special Christmas show (on Facebook and YouTube) on Wednesday, November 12th, you may recall that Bill Abbott (Great American Media CEO) mentioned that this Christmas movie, starring Katie Leclerc, would be filming in December.

I think the choice of costar is a great one! I'm excited to see Jeremy Guilbaut in his first Great American Family movie. I especially liked him in "Destination Wedding" with Alexa PenaVega. He was also excellent as Lacey Chabert's ex-fiance in "Christmas Waltz,” and Hearties will likely recall his role on "When Calls the Heart."

What are your thoughts on this movie and pairing?  Please share in comments.

Merry Christmas!

🌟 Watch the *Great American Christmas* Year 5 Celebration Here! 🌟

If you missed the Great American Christmas Year 5 Celebration last night, I have good news for you! The program is available to watch right now via Facebook or YouTube. In fact, I've embedded the YT video below!

It was truly a delightful, festive evening filled with joy, laughter, prayer, baking, opening gifts, and sharing stories. It truly felt like family!

At nearly 3 hours long, the program was such a fantastic event. It was wonderful to see everyone, including... Cameron Mathison, Candace Cameron Bure, Mario Lopez, Dominic Lopez, Danica McKellar, Shae Robins, Natasha Perry, Katie Leclerc, Sam Page, and Great American Media CEO Bill Abbott.

Jill Wagner, Christopher Russell, and Cindy Busby joined the program live with virtual interviews from Texas (Jill) and Canada (Christopher and Cindy).

Previews were shown of each Christmas movie, and the actors all gave a little information on their films with no spoilers, of course!

Jillian Murray and Trevor Donovan sent in a pre-taped video from the set of their GAF Christmas movie, Chasing Christmas, which is still filming in Buffalo, New York.

🌟Two Major Announcements:

Katie Leclerc, A Wisconsin Christmas Pie, will be filming a new Christmas movie in December for Great American Family next year!

Bill Abbott announced that "A Christmas Prayer" sequel is in the works, starring Shae Robins and Christopher Russell!

Enjoy the celebration here...

Haul Out the Halloween Storyline: New, Halloween-obsessed neighbors inspire residents of Evergreen Lane to haul out their spookiest costumes and dΓ©cor to become EverSCREAM Lane.

*Please note: I don’t typically feature Halloween movies or programs here, but I know many will want to see this third film in the series. I’m hoping it focuses on the lighthearted, fun side of the holiday and steers clear of anything dark or unsettling.

I also wanted to briefly mention that "Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried at C" will be airing Sunday night on the Hallmark Channel. I personally won’t be watching this one, as one of the main characters is a ghost. I just wanted to note it here, in case anyone wonders why it wasn’t promoted.

Need an Early Gift? 🎁 The First Great American Christmas Movie Premiere is…

While the full schedule for Great American Christmas on Great American Family is yet to be released (coming very soon!), I have learned the first Christmas movie premiere will be "A Wisconsin Christmas Pie," starring Katie LeClerc and Ryan Carnes!

This deliciously sounding movie will premiere Saturday, October 11th, at 8pm/7c.

Storyline via Great American Family:

"In A Wisconsin Christmas Pie, pastry chef Emma Parker (Leclerc) returns from Chicago to her family’s cherry orchard in Door County, Wisconsin for Christmas, she learns the farm is on the brink of being sold to developers. Persuaded to enter the town’s holiday pie bake-off, Emma reconnects with her high school sweetheart, Mitch (Carnes) and together they discover the recipe for saving the orchard – and their hearts – might just be love."

According to the Green Bay Press Gazzette, "The movie was filmed entirely in Door County (Wisconsin) in early spring. Among the iconic Door County landmarks that show up in the trailer released in August are Hillside Waterfront Hotel in Ephraim, The White Gull Inn, Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery & Market and Eagle Tower at Peninsula State Park, all in Fish Creek."

So... here's a taste of what's coming to Great American Family this Christmas!

Stay tuned for the full announcement!

 SHINING HIS LIGHT:

A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

πŸŽ„Christmas in JulyπŸŽ„ is Coming to the Hallmark Channel with TWO New Movies and More 🌟 SEE HERE:

The Hallmark Channel has a new commercial preview out (see below) for their annual *Christmas in July* movie event- and here's what we can take from the new promo...

The new preview shows one fun movie that previously premiered on Hallmark's streamer, Hallmark Movies Now- Rescuing Christmas, starring Rachael Leigh Cook and Sam Page.

Also, the promo announces there will be TWO New Christmas Movie Premieres in July! One of these NEW Christmas movies will star Marcus Rosner (Love on the Right Course) and Rebecca Dalton (Christmas by Design) and the other will star Ryan McPartlin (Cut, Color, Murder) and Katie LeClerc (A Cape Cod Christmas).

Plus, in addition to the new movie premieres, the Hallmark Channel will show an extended cut of Three Wise Men and a Baby, starring Andrew Walker, Paul Campbell, and Tyler Hynes, which will, of course, have a sequel this upcoming Christmas season titled: Three Wiser Men and a Boy.

What once was known in years past as "Christmas Keepsake Week" has grown to a full month of "Christmas in July" holiday movies!!!

Hallmark Channel's Christmas in July Promo:

I hope you enjoyed this Christmas movie news! I remember when Marcus Rosner and Rebecca Dalton filmed their Christmas movie together back at the beginning of March.

I saved this screengrab from Marcus' IG stories at the time...

Since filming this Christmas movie with Rebecca Dalton, Marcus Rosner has filmed at least two more holiday movies, one with Emma Johnson (My Favorite Christmas Tree) and another recently with Brittany Bristow (A Safari Romance, Just Jake). He's quite the busy guy when it comes to making movies, so I'm really not surprised at all that one of his movies ended up during Christmas in July!

Stay tuned for more details on these new Christmas in July movies!

Have a Merry Day!
