Have a Great Weekend, Everyone!

I hope all of you who enjoy a good mystery (like me!) will tune in for the new Garage Sale Mystery premiering this weekend! I’m so happy to see this mystery series return.

And Crossroad Springs looks like it will be another wonderful episode, too. I’ve really been enjoying this sweet series - love the faith, family, and farm life!

Speaking of family, I also wanted to share a little bit about what happened to my family this week. We had what seemed like a normal thunderstorm come through at my parents’ home. I was there, along with other family. There wasn’t a thunderstorm watch or warning at the time, so we really weren’t expecting anything severe. The lightning became pretty intense, and then suddenly the wind picked up tremendously. Before we knew it, we started hearing loud crashing sounds around the house. I think we all said all at once, what was that?

More than twenty evergreen trees came down, with three of them crashing into windows. Oh my... the mess!!!! There was broken glass, pine needles, debris, and rain coming into the house. The force of everything even knocked shelves from the walls and broke some glass décor inside. (even some sentimental Christmas pieces)

Needless to say, we were all pretty shaken.

I’m so thankful for the strong men in our family who went right to work, even in the pouring rain, clearing debris and boarding up the broken windows... while all of us girls cleaned the glass and debris on the inside, and we’ve all still been cleaning up inside and outside ever since.

And, of course, our weather was unusually hot this week for September, which has made the cleanup even more challenging!

It has been heartbreaking to see so much damage. Those beautiful trees have been there for years and hold so many wonderful family memories. Some beautiful fencing was also taken down, there is damage to the roof, and seeing the property look so different overnight has been emotional.

But even in the midst of all that devastation, we are ALL praising God.

When I think about how close those trees and flying debris came to where we were, I’m simply overwhelmed with gratitude that we were all safely inside, and no one was hurt. Things can be repaired, and trees can eventually be replanted, but our family is safe, and that is what matters most. And all of the neighbors are safe, too, although they also had plenty of damage to their homes, as well.

So, my friends, please take care and stay safe, especially if storms are headed your way. Sometimes severe weather can come so unexpectedly.

God bless you all,

Great American Media previously announced this movie in a press release just days before Christmas, so in case you missed that news, the network released more details today as the film is currently in full filming production. ----------------------------------

Great American Media

Begins Production on

An Ozark Mountain Christmas

at Beloved Silver Dollar City,

 Transforming Branson, Missouri,

into a Real-Life

Christmas Wonderland

Film Anchors Great American Christmas 2026

NEW YORK, NY – January 14, 2026 – Local Branson, Missouri, residents are thrilled as production on Great American Media’s Original Movie, An Ozark Mountain Christmas is now underway. The film, starring Brianna Cohen (A Royal Christmas Manor, Saving the Christmas Ranch) and Jonathan Stoddard (“Crossroad Springs,” A Royal Christmas Tail), is a tentpole of new Original films coming to Great American Christmas 2026. The film brings the full magic of the season to life at one of America’s most cherished Christmas destinations – the City of Branson and Silver Dollar City.

Across the iconic 1880’s-themed park, is a dazzling Christmas wonderland featuring more than 6.5 million lights, hand-crafted decorations, live holiday entertainment, a world-class holiday parade, and season attractions that make Branson, MO, and Silver Dollar City a beloved pilgrimage for families from across the country. From glowing lantern-lined streets and towering Christmas trees to carolers, horse-drawn carriages, and artisan demonstrations, Silver Dollar City provides the storybook backdrop for Great American Media’s newest holiday film.

In partnership with the City of Branson, An Ozark Mountain Christmas will capture the region at its most magical. Branson has extended its celebrated Christmas lighting and décor throughout the filming schedule, ensuring the movie is immersed in the realism of a true Branson Christmas with twinkling streets, decorated storefronts, and festive skyline playing a starring role in the legendary holiday spectacle.

“Branson and Silver Dollar City create one of the most breathtaking Christmas destinations in America,” said Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Great American Media. “The film allows us to invite audiences inside a real-life Christmas dream – one filled with light, tradition, music, craftsmanship, and the warmth of small-town celebration. An Ozark Mountain Christmas embodies everything Great American Christmas represents — faith, hope, joy. Christmas as it is meant to be,” Abbott concluded.

Throughout production, the film will showcase the many experiences that have made Silver Dollar City synonymous with the season: glowing nighttime rides, seasonal culinary favorites, artisan workshops, holiday shows, festive shopping, and the unmistakable spirit of togetherness and tradition that is foundational to the City of Branson, Silver Dollar City, and Great American Media.

An Ozark Mountain Christmas will premiere as part of Great American Christmas 2026 on Great American Pure Flix, Great American Family, and GFAM+, continuing the tradition of delivering uplifting stories set in America’s most meaningful and beautiful small towns and communities.
