Storyline for Feeling Butterflies via Hallmark:

The movie follows Emily (Kayla Wallace), who owns a booming butterfly business, and delivers monarchs to a birthday party where she meets single dad Garrett (Kevin McGarry). With the help of Garrett and his daughter, Emily’s business begins to take flight.

My review...

Feeling Butterflies is an enjoyable, feel-good, family-friendly movie that has a sweet romance, and so much detail about butterflies: what they eat, how they grow, and their importance in the world. The overall story is fairly simplistic and straight-forward, but it's a cozy afternoon or end-of-the-day watch that will leave you feeling warm and good inside. Perfect for all ages! There's also a young girl in the movie, who is bright and cheerful; she has a enthusiastic interest in learning everything about butterflies. Kayla Wallace and Kevin McGarry are, of course, a real-life couple, so we can clearly see their wonderful chemistry shine through on screen.

In case you haven't heard...

In addition to Feeling Butterflies, Kayla Wallace and Kevin McGarry also have a Christmas movie they worked on together in December of last year. No word, yet, on where that movie will end up. Stay tuned!

In the meantime...

Both Kayla and Kevin can be seen in the Season 9 finale of When Calls the Heart this Sunday night, and Feeling Butterflies is available to pre-order on DVD through Amazon. Click here to see current price.

Also, see items below that would be ideal for any butterfly themed celebration.

Happy movie watching! Net

Movie Review:

☀ "Feeling Butterflies is family friendly & cute movie. (Review may contain some spoilers) Garrett lost his Wife named Sarah & he has a Daughter named Ashley. Ashley named butterfly Sarah whose she named its after Ashley's Mother; Sarah. Ashley’s Mother; Sarah loved butterflies. Emily owns butterfly business: Feeling Butterflies co.. Emily & the others bring its for special events like Birthday, Wedding, Retirement, etc.. There’s only 1500 butterflies & expect for Ashley’s butterfly named Sarah & she lets it go. The viewers learn about caterpillars 🐛 & butterflies. There’s 1501 butterflies I couldn’t stop laughing that Garrett put dirt on his face because Emily told him about his hair. Emily throws dirt on his back when Garrett fell on the dirt & he pulls Emily’s arm down on the dirt too." ~Anonymous

A Second Chance at Love

Original Premiere Date: March 26, 2022

Network: Hallmark Channel

Starring: Gloria Reuben, Eriq La Salle, Alvina August and Jarod Joseph

Storyline: A Second Chance at Love centers around Alicia (August) and Arnold’s (Joseph) picture-perfect marriage, but underneath the surface, there is something amiss. Arnold is ready to grow their family, but Alicia is hesitant to the idea. Rather than face the problem head on, Alicia, the self-proclaimed "love doctor," immerses herself in her divorced parents, Jack (La Salle) and Brenda’s (Reuben), dating affairs by setting them each up on a blind date dating app.

Movie Reviews:

"Really enjoyed A Second Chance at Love. I like how Hallmark is making more dramas. The stories that they're telling now have a lot more depth than previously. Well I still love the tried and true romance, there's just something about the journey in a drama. Particularly liked the storyline of the daughter and her husband. And it was so great to see Gloria Rueben and Mr. Soul Glow, Eriq La Salle again." ~Lisa

"I enjoyed "A Second Chance at Love" more than expected after seeing some reviews. Truly, with the topic of divorce, the lasting impact on a child's life, and tending to a marriage, it felt more like an HMM movie than a Hallmark movie. It held my attention and had some sweet moments, though it probably won't be a re-watch for me. My main complaint is the crazy ages of the cast! It felt like the grandmother (an adorable actress I always notice) was far too young, as were the love-interests for the divorced parents. It was enough for me to search actual actor ages, out of curiosity, and wow! The grandmother is only 10 years older than her daughter, while the father's date is literally 20 years younger and just a couple of years older than Alvina. Similarly, the mother's co-worker whom people were teasing her about is roughly 16 years younger, I think. No wonder it felt weird! That was not done well, and I found it very distracting. Overall, though, I appreciated the message: a husband and wife both need to prioritize their marriage above careers and others in order to thrive!" ~Alicia

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries March Schedule:

The Presence of Love

Original Premiere Date: March 13, 2022

Network: Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Starring: Eloise Mumford and Julian Morris

Storyline: The film follows adjunct professor Joss (Mumford), who travels to England to visit the farm where her late mother grew up and bonds with single father Daniel (Morris), whose family now runs it.

Movie Reviews:

"The Presence of Love is family friendly & heartwarming movie. (Review may contain some spoilers) Dr. Jocelyn “Joss” Lambert PHD is a Professor of Romantic lLiterature - Department of English Literature at Boston Alma University. Her student hands Joss a British Chocolate when she got that from her friend. Gwen hands Joss a manila envelope from her late Mother named Carol Penberthy Lambert & Joss ahead to Cromwell, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 that her Mother used to live. Daniel picks up Dr. Jocelyn Lambert PHD & ahead to cottage. Hha dog named Samson is a Border Collie. Joss meets Daniel’s Mother named Merryn, Felix, & his Daughter named Tegan. Joss finds out Tegan is dyslexic when Tegan hands Joss her notebook. Joss’ Mother’s farm was sold to Merryn’s family when Merryn tells Joss that her Mother named Carol Lambert by saying her Grandparents named Pat & Colin Penberthy’s House was sold to Merryn’s family. Merryn hands Joss’ Mother’s treasure chest that contains books, trinkets, etc.. Her Mother’s book was given by her Grandmother named Pat Penberthy. Joss’ Mother; Carol had dyslexia just like Tegan. Daniel lets Joss stay with him in England. Joss had an anxiety attack because she’s hyperventilating when she’s 9 years old since her Dad had car accident. Joss love her books. Joss notices Quotes from Calvin Coolidge novel. Daniel mentions butterfly 🦋 books." ~Anonymous

"The Presence of Love... Wow! Let me first say, I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful Hallmark movie. The grassy cliffs, the sheep, the beautiful Border Collie, the stone house (inside and out). The little girl was precious. I cried when Daniel's mother hugged Joss. And it was 200% clean. And all outfits modest, I really appreciated that. The thing that made me sad, was Joss character. All those times she was struggling, oh if only she had Jesus. Be anxious for nothing." ~Abigail

"The Presence of Love was really good and family friendly. I actually appreciated the depiction of Joss's panic attacks. I have suffered from those, and they really portrayed what they are like accurately. I was sad when she said she had them all her life, though. With counseling, medication, and a whole lot of Jesus, I have had so much healing that I rarely have them anymore. You shouldn't have to just live with it! I still appreciated a Hallmark movie tackling something like that, however. I also like how it showed Joss checking the time on the clock before taking her medicine. It was subtle, but to me it showed that she had a prescription with a specific dosing schedule whereas most tv shows and movies just show someone getting anxious, than grabbing and popping a pill. It's not like that at all unless you're an addict! A small detail, but it meant a lot to me personally to see that. I was also giddily excited to see the "one year later" at the end. I always want to see where they end up!" ~melnewlife

"Watching The Presence of Love, and wow! This is such a beautiful looking movie!" -Maria

""The Presence of Love" is a stunningly beautiful movie - from both the real English scenery and the fantastic writing and acting. I was so happy that much, much outdoor scenery was used. Nothing is worse than filming on location in Europe, and then barely showing Europe, like Hallmark has done before. Not this time! And Eloise Mumford is such a gem. Loved that the real life issue of panic attacks was dealt with. And the mother of the main guy is special. I've seen her before on other British shows but can't remember which. This movie is one of the best Hallmark has ever made!!" ~Amy G.

I'm looking forward to seeing Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace (both of When Calls the Heart), who are a real-life couple, together in "Feeling Butterflies!" (Update: See my review above ^)
