County Rescue Review:

I watched the finale of County Rescue yesterday (Thursday) on Pure Flix, and it was every bit as deep and emotional as the episodes leading up to it. One of the things I continue to appreciate most about this series is the strong faith element, including the meaningful scriptures woven throughout every episode. I also enjoyed seeing the friendships among the rescue team continue to grow and strengthen.

The storm added some tension and drama to the episode, drawing everyone together for a meaningful conversation. One of my disappointments is that we don't always get to see how every emergency call ultimately turns out. I don't need to see every detail, but it would be nice to get a little more closure and know how some of the patients are doing when they're taken to the hospital.

In this episode in particular, Dani is out on a serious call and helping a woman, and then in the next scene or so - she's back at the station like nothing happened. So, we have no clue what really happened.

Overall, though, it was a heartfelt episode. While there are uplifting moments, there are also scenes that are reflective and quite emotional. If you're walking through the grief of losing a loved one, this episode, and the series as a whole, may offer some comfort, encouragement, and hope for your healing journey.

The end felt as if they are leaving the door open for another season, but we'll see. ~Net

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hope you are looking forward to the new Summer Nights movie! I'm hearing it's a great mix of romance and comedy. I'm getting the feel that it may be (in the comedic sense) a lot like Missing the Boat or Lost in Paradise. Anyway, that's my hope!

In case you missed it, you can see my review of County Rescue above.

Have a Blessed Weekend,

Wishing you all a nice Memorial Day weekend...

On this Memorial Day, we remember the brave men and women of our military who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

What a meaningful time it is, as our country approaches her 250th birthday, to proudly fly our American flags, to gather with dear family and friends for backyard barbecues, enjoy picnics in the park, and small-town parades. These simple moments are beautiful reminders of how precious our freedoms truly are.

If you have plans this weekend, you'll want to set your DVR now. Or if you plan to be home, then I hope you'll enjoy some patriotic programming, perhaps settle in for a new mystery, or watch the latest episode of County Rescue, which honors our military through the inspiring charitable work of Tunnel to Towers. Marking the 25th as we

Countdown to Christmas!

This Monday, May 25th, also marks 7 months 'til Christmas Day!

We love celebrating every 25th day of the month here at It's a Wonderful Movie as part of our Countdown to Christmas tradition... and whether you join in every month or if you've never participated, you’re warmly invited to join along!

If you'll be watching something merry and Christmassy on the 25th (or anytime over this long weekend), please share with us in comments.

In honor of Memorial Day, I've decided to watch one of my favorites, The Christmas Card. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of this beloved Hallmark classic!

I’ve always appreciated how this patriotic film honors the courage and sacrifice of those who have served our country, especially the heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice. And I just love the way the Spelman family works closely together in their family-owned lumber business. It truly is a wonderful film filled with comforting small-town charm, a lovely little country church, and a sweet romance that will always hold a special place in my heart!

If you happen to find a little quiet time during what may be a busy Memorial Day weekend, I’d love for you to join in the Christmas fun. And of course, please share which Christmas movie you chose in the comments below!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I pray you all have a peaceful, safe, and relaxing Memorial Day Weekend.

We are deeply blessed to live in a country where we can enjoy our freedoms, and we honor those courageous heroes who have fought to protect them!

God Bless America!!!❤️☆💙

Blessings to you all,

Did You Miss *America Reads the Bible* or Want to Relive the Blessing — See Details Here:

Last week, the America Reads the Bible event unfolded in a truly beautiful way in Washington, D.C., as nearly 500 voices came together at the Museum of the Bible to read God’s Holy Word aloud.

It was a powerful and uplifting week, bringing together people from all walks of life... pastors and ministry leaders, current and former politicians, actors and actresses, Christian musicians and worship leaders, and so many others, all united in sharing the truth and light of Scripture.

It was especially meaningful to see familiar faces from Great American Family, the Hallmark Channel, and other networks take part, using their voices to honor the Lord. I so enjoyed every moment I was able to watch, along with my family, but of course we were in and out during the week - with work, errands, etc... so it's been nice to go back and catch any of the ones we missed.

If you happened to miss any of this inspiring event and would like to see it for yourself, you can watch it FREE through Great American Pure Flix - click here to watch.

What a blessing it was to see God’s Word proclaimed so boldly; I pray it blesses you as it has me and so many others who watched throughout the week!

⏰☀️ Spring Forward This Weekend ☀️⏰ Andrew Walker Gets The Royal Treatment in New Hallmark Movie Premiere, Plus Details on New Episodes of "When Calls the Heart" and "County Rescue"

Happy *Spring Forward* Weekend, Friends!

Despite the time change with Daylight Saving Time, I hope you all are able to feel relaxed, rested, and rejuvenated this weekend! It usually takes me a little time (no pun intended) to get used to the change; however, I love to see daylight hours slowly become longer as we reach spring!

Get ready for another enchanting weekend on the Hallmark Channel as Andrew Walker's latest film, The Reluctant Royal, makes its debut. Andrew portrays an every day sort of guy, a mechanic, who suddenly has ties to royalty! (Happens every day, right?) Even though it may not be exacly realistic, please don't get me wrong, I truly appreciate that these stories have a lighthearted, familiar feel that always have a happy ending. Our world can be pretty serious sometimes, so I genuinely enjoy how these tales are often fun, light, and entertaining. They typically make for a delightful viewing experience, and Andrew Walker has always been one of my favorites to watch! (My top 2 movies starring Andrew are Hallmark's "Dashing Through the Snow" and Lifetime's "Snowed-Inn for Christmas." Would love to hear yours, too, in the comments below!)

And don't miss the chance to join the town of Hope Valley as they celebrate a harvest festival in a brand new episode of When Calls the Heart.

Plus, there's a spark of new romance in the latest episode of County Rescue.

Take a closer look at the new programming below...

I hope you all enjoy your weekend as much as I enjoyed chatting with so many of you this week! Again, don't forget to change your clocks as we *Spring Forward* early on Sunday morning!

And you might want to check your DVR on Sunday, too... just to be sure that time is right, as well. I've got Andrew Walker's royal movie, The Reluctant Royal, all set to record, and I'm looking forward to watching the new episodes of County Rescue and When Calls the Heart.

Due to plans, I haven't had the chance to catch County Rescue early this week (through Pure Flix streaming), but I'm extremely curious to see what Dani's reaction will be when Tim starts showing interest in someone else.

As for When Calls the Heart, I can't wait to see what unfolds with the gold search and Little Jack when he goes missing. I know they'll find him, but I'm curious to learn where he has gone and why.

If you're interested in the classic Christmas movies airing on Friday nights, then you'll want to check out the Christmas Schedule!

Please note: I haven't pre-screened the new movie airing this weekend. If you'd like to post a review on whether this film is family-friendly, please share in the comments.

Have a Blessed Weekend,

Everyone!
