It’s
“Summer Under the Stars”! During the month of August on the television network: TCM, they choose an artist for each day of the month and then they showcase some of their best movies on that day!
Monday, August 4th is "Judy Garland Day", which will include three of my favorite classic Christmas Movies:
Love Finds Andy Hardy, Meet Me in St. Louis, and In the Good Ole Summertime! (
please don’t let that last title fool you – it is a Christmas Movie, too!) Actually what is most interesting and somewhat unique about
Meet Me in St. Louis and
In the Good Ole Summertime, is that they include all seasons, which makes them both enjoyable to watch any time or any day of the year! And, if you’re in the mood for one more holiday, then be sure to watch Easter Parade, too!

In spite of there being no showing of "Wizard of Oz" on this day or a dream of "Somewhere over the Rainbow"... I do hope you all will enjoy this delightful trip back in time... to Judy Garland singing endearing old-fashioned songs, neighbors sitting on porches, children playing in yards, and the days of when falling in love was something sweet and innocent.
