CBS Sunday Morning's reporter, Faith Salie, sat down with author Janette Oke, When Calls the Heart's Erin Krakow, and Hearties, fans of the When Calls the Heart series. These interviews (see in video below) ran during a segment on their program on Sunday morning, February 11th.

Erin Krakow expressed, "There is a real desire for heartwarming entertainment; it's something that I think all of us really want in our lives."

And when she's asked about being the star of When Calls the Heart, Erin is quick to say, "I am just one piece of the heart of the show, because we are a show about community, and I think that we wouldn't be Hope Valley, we wouldn't be When Calls the Heart without all the members of this community.

Janette Oke, whose books inspired the Hallmark Channel series shares about the love and acceptance within the viewers of When Calls the Heart.

Easter Lives Here During the Network’s Easter Celebration Focusing on UPlifting, Affirming Movies and the U.S. Television Premiere of In-Lawfully Yours Starring Chelsey Crisp & Marilu Henner

Atlanta – March 26, 2020 – UPtv, the television home for Uplifting entertainment, will be doubling-down on this commitment with beloved movies celebrating Easter. Beginning Saturday, April 4, UPtv’s Easter celebration starts with a book-to-movie marathon, contemporary faith-affirming films and inspiring biblical stories, capping it off with the U.S. television premiere of In-Lawfully Yours on Easter Sunday, April 12.

UPtv will exclusively air the blockbuster The Passion of the Christ on Palm Sunday, April 5 at 7 p.m. ET and on Good Friday, April 10 at 9 p.m. ET; and hit theatrical films including God’s Not Dead, April 5 & 11; Courageous, April 5 & 11; The Healer April 11 & 12; War Room April 5 and Heaven is for Real April 11.

UPtv’s Easter event kicks off the season with a book-to-movie marathon based off of Janette Oke’s best-selling novels beginning with Love Takes Wing on April 4 at 3 p.m ET. This year’s celebration culminates in the U.S. television premiere of In-Lawfully Yours. In the film, a fun-loving woman from New York City moves to a small town to help her recently widowed ex-mother-in-law. Her personality clashes with the locals, and when she goes public with her new relationship with the pastor, the town rallies to kick her out. But will divine intervention keep them together? The movie stars Chelsey Crisp (Fresh Off the Boat), Marilu Henner (Taxi, L.A. Story), Joe Williamson (Grey’s Anatomy), Corbin Bernsen (Psych), and Phillip Boyd (The Haves and the Have Nots).

“As the home for uplifting programming, we can’t think of a better time than now to celebrate feel-good films, and inspiring biblical stories. In-Lawfully Yours is a perfect way to cap-off Easter Sunday with the entire family,” said Hector Campos, VP of Content Strategy.

PLOT:

Episode 1: “Believing”
Abigail (Lori Loughlin) leaves town to testify on behalf of Henry (Martin Cummins) while Bill (Jack Wagner) joins her, but will testify against him. Abigail must convince a strict judge to give Henry a second chance but it seems like the odds are against it. With Bill gone, Lee (Kavan Smith) is made acting sheriff and – despite Rosemary’s (Pascale Hutton) encouragement – isn’t confident that he is up to the task. Still anxiously awaiting Jack’s return from the Northern Territories, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) is given a diversion thanks to a surprise visit from her sister, Julie (Charlotte Hegele), who reveals to Elizabeth the surprising career path she’s decided to take. Clara (Eva Bourne) thinks it may be time for a break from Jesse (Aren Buchholz) but becomes jealous when she sees Jesse spending time with Julie. Dr. Carson (Paul Greene) is determined to stop a traveling salesman selling a tonic that has caused a stomachache epidemic in town, which leads to a surprising arrest.

Episode 2: “Hearts and Minds”
Elizabeth mentors Julie, who finds teaching more difficult than she imagined. Meanwhile, Abigail has to find a way to convince the railroad to build its depot in Hope Valley.

Episode 3: “Home Is Where the Heart Is”
Jack returns and he and Elizabeth start planning their future. Sparks fly between Carson and a new arrival. Elizabeth teaches her students the difference between facts and speculation, and the town is put on edge when Lee can’t withdraw funds to pay his employees.

Episode 4: “Open Hearts”
Abigail has to figure out how to keep the town’s bank afloat. Meanwhile, Elizabeth struggles to understand what troubles one of her young students. Rosemary goes overboard planning Jack and Elizabeth’s wedding.

Jack and Elizabeth’s plan to get married is put in serious jeopardy. Bill has difficulties transporting a prisoner.

Episode 8: “Weather the Storm”
While transporting AJ to face trial, Bill gets bitten by a rattlesnake. Abigail tries to save the town from an investor who will hurt Hope Valley. Carson is faced with a life and death medical decision. Elizabeth tries to reunite a mother and her son.
