For Lacey Chabert - "Rome" is Where the Heart is + Another Heartwarming Movie Encore! SEE HERE:

Looking for a little joy to be added to your week? Then, be sure to watch this Christmas movie and take a trip, along with Lacey Chabert to Rome, where adventure and love awaits!

Christmas Thursdays on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Thursday, September 2, 2021:

starring Lacey Chabert and Sam Page

Storyline via Hallmark: Angela, an American tour guide living in Rome, meets Oliver, an American business executive who is lost and late for an important meeting on his first day there. Angela helps him, but soon finds herself playing a central role in Oliver’s business deal, as the company owner will only sell to someone who understands the ways of Italy. Oliver hires Angela as his personal tour guide but gets far more than he bargained for, as a romance blooms between them amidst the backdrop of Rome at Christmastime and he must learn that life and business work differently in Italy.

at 7pm/6c. on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Following "Christmas in Rome," is...

starring Lacey Chabert and Warren Christie

Please Note: This movie is heartbreaking and touching as it shows the death of two spouses and parents to young children. There is also a story of hope as they rediscover love again. This is not a Christmas movie, but there is a beautiful scene at the end that takes place at Christmastime with the children performing in a Church Nativity Pageant.

The last Christmas movie airing this week is "Crashing Through the Snow" on the Hallmark Channel. I know there were a lot of mixed feelings on this movie. It had some cute moments and fun banter, some loved it, others did not. My personal feeling is: marriage is a serious lifetime commitment, but I didn’t feel it was taken seriously, at all, in this movie.

Reviews:

🎄 "I think Crashing Through the Snow is hilarious Christmas movie" ~Anonymous

🎄 "I agree, Anonymous, it was funny, but it was a very sticky situation. I loved Warren Christie and Amy Acker together - I hope they are paired for other Hallmark movies. Maybe a sequel? I'll get this DVD if it ever is released." ~Namegirl

🎄 "Crashing Through the Snow was definitely different. It didn't feel like a Hallmark movie to be honest. I didn't know what to expect when I saw the preview and the poster for it. I do love the chemistry between Maggie and Sam. The unique Hallmark storyline made it fun and refreshing to watch. If I had to be picky.. I just thought a seemingly perfect woman like Kate was too good to be true, especially how she just invited Maggie to come along to vacation and spend Christmas together. They did a great job portraying the friendly relationship between Maggie and Jeff... which really is a unicorn these days for ex husband and wife to get along so well and have that kind of relationship. It's a 'too good to be true' situation for a blended family. All those aside, I really did enjoy watching it. It tackled the issue of divorce and parent re-marrying. Overall, family friendly.. no issues that I noticed. The only thing is if you have young kiddos watching, the hot spring scene might be something you don't see a lot in Hallmark, ha! I wouldn't call it steamy or sexy, but it did cross my mind when I was watching it. This might be just me though since our family is borderline prude, haha. That scene really had such a dreamy and romantic setting, though and made me want to go to Aspen! I definitely would love to see Amy Acker and Warren Christie in more Hallmark movies." ~CH Mom

🎄 "Watched Crashing Through the Snow and absolutely loved it. Hope it comes out on dvd soon. Saw that the 12 Gifts of Christmas is going to be on. We like that one a lot too and hope for it to come out on dvd. Still hoping that there will be some Christmas in July Christmas movie releases." ~RG

🎄 "I know many liked this one, but it just wasn’t for me. Marriage should be sacred, honored and respected. In this movie marriage was portrayed as something casual and hey, if you don’t feel that spark, then just get divorced, be friends and find someone else. The whole movie just felt awkward and odd – I mean, we have two exes vacationing together – the ex-husband with his serious girlfriend, and the ex-wife, who is struggling to fit in with her own daughters – starts falling for the girlfriend’s brother. Talk about complicated. I like most of the actors in this movie from other Hallmark films, especially Warren Christie, and there was some cute conversation and banter, but… the movie seemed to give an almost fairytale “Hallmark-esque” version of divorce. I’ve personally seen family members go through divorce and it was tough, heartbreaking, and completely devastating. The Bible tells us with marriage - “the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” (Mark 10:8) Ultimately, “God hates divorce.” (Malachi 2:16) I didn’t like the way the movie took divorce so casually, as if it was no big deal – just move on to the next relationship. It takes two to get married and typically, only one to break the vow. Marriage is a serious lifetime commitment, but I didn’t feel it was taken seriously, at all, in this movie. Brooke Nevin’s character – as the potential new step-mom, acted almost like a Stepford wife, trying to do everything perfectly and say all the right things. It was nauseating, to say the least. This movie is not a keeper for me. My heart breaks for any one, any children or family members who have had to deal with the pain of divorce. Please know, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)" ~Net

*SUMMER NIGHTS* returns on the Hallmark Channel:

Love, For Real

Starring: Chloe Bridges, Scott Michael Foster, Corbin Bleu, Taiana Tully and Karen Malina-White

Premieres: Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 9 p.m. PT/ET.

Storyline: Hayley and her best friend Bree go on a reality dating show to publicize her fashion line, but nothing goes as planned when love, friendship, and careers are on the line.

Storyline:

🌞 "Love For Real was a nice family friendly movie. And some actors I don't remember seeing before." ~Anonymous

🌞 "Love, For Real was better than I expected. It was fun and entertaining." ~denise

🌞 "I saw some of Love For Real and thought it was cute and some laugh out loud moments. But, I missed the ending. It was family friendly from what I could tell. I think most of the cast was good, but there were too many 'bad guys' with the blonde producer and this obviously stuck up contestant. Those two just weren't that great." ~Misty

🌞 "I really enjoyed Love, For Real. It was a nice change from the same old. Plus, it was clean and fun. I loved the bickering chemistry. I for one, am looking forward to some of the movies with new actors as the same thing gets stale after a while." ~Melissa

🌞 "Love For Real Be careful what you wish for! - for those who have been complaining that Hallmark is same old, same old this is a departure. It is really a spoof on Reality TV shows and if this is the sort of thing you like then in all honesty I'd have to say this is not a bad film at all with plenty of amusing moments. One positive is that was certainly family friendly. However my priority is for a warm-hearted romance and I didn't feel any connection between the leads at all. Moreover and I apologise to Chloe Bridges but her voice was harsh and grating and put me off completely. There were also a couple of characters (I won't mention who) who were just downright nasty and unlikable. It does seem though that this has mostly received the thumbs-up from other members here at Net. Certainly Hallmark has tried to do something different here, it wasn't bad at all but just not what I personally want from them" - Florence
