Last week, the America Reads the Bible event unfolded in a truly beautiful way in Washington, D.C., as nearly 500 voices came together at the Museum of the Bible to read God’s Holy Word aloud.
It was a powerful and uplifting week, bringing together people from all walks of life... pastors and ministry leaders, current and former politicians, actors and actresses, Christian musicians and worship leaders, and so many others, all united in sharing the truth and light of Scripture.
It was especially meaningful to see familiar faces from Great American Family, the Hallmark Channel, and other networks take part, using their voices to honor the Lord. I so enjoyed every moment I was able to watch, along with my family, but of course we were in and out during the week - with work, errands, etc... so it's been nice to go back and catch any of the ones we missed.

God Bless the Broken Road (premiering Sunday, March 19 at 7 p.m. ET) tells the inspirational story of a young mother who loses her husband in Afghanistan and struggles to raise their young daughter in his absence. The film focuses on the importance of faith, friends, and family, while paying tribute to those who serve in the United States military. The movie stars Lindsay Pulsipher, Makenzie Moss, Andrew Walker, Kim Delaney, Robin Givens, Gary Grubbs, Arthur Cartwright, LaDainian Tomlinson, Madeline Carroll, Ian Van Houten and Jordin Sparks.
I Go to the Rock: The Gospel Music of Whitney Houston (premiering Friday, March 24 at 8 p.m. ET) is a fascinating visual journey into Whitney’s faith and love of gospel music. Hosted by acclaimed, GRAMMY-winning gospel singer CeCe Winans and produced by Barry Jennings, the documentary intimately and comprehensively explores the steadfast faith that accompanied Whitney to stardom. The documentary will take viewers on a journey from her first-ever performance in front of an audience to her many breathtaking appearances performing gospel songs through 1996’s The Preacher's Wife soundtrack, the best-selling gospel album of all time. Music is under the direction of multi-Grammy nominated and Dove-award winning Dan Posthuma and songwriter Wally Nason.
The Chosen season two will premiere as part of an all-day marathon on Palm Sunday, April 2, from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. The Chosen is a crowd-funded drama series created, directed and co-written by Christian filmmaker Dallas Jenkins. It is the first multi-season series about the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. Primarily set in Judaea and Galilee in the 1st century, the series centers on Jesus and the different people who met and followed him. The second season focuses on the beginning of Jesus' public ministry and what happens as word of His ministry begins to spread. See Jesus through the eyes of those that met Him. The movie stars Max Erich, Katelyn Nacon, J. Alphonse Nicholson and Emma Mayes.

The Confession Musical was adapted for the stage by Emmy-Nominated screenwriter Martha Bolton. The musical follows the story of Katie Lapp, a young Amish girl who discovers that her parents have been keeping a deep secret…that she is adopted. Katie decides to find her birth mother, defying the rules of her Amish village and risking a shunning. Meanwhile, Laura Mayfield, her wealthy birth mother who is battling an illness that might take her life, began searching for her long-lost daughter. Secretly plotting against Laura is her gold-digging husband, Dylan (John Schneider). Dylan knows that if Katie is found, he will no longer inherit Laura's fortune. With the help and prayers of her Christian housekeeper (Chonda Pierce), Laura hopes to foil Dylan's plan and be reunited with her daughter.
