Streaming on Great American Pure Flix, August 28 and Premiering on Great American Family, August 31

NEW YORK, NY – June 3, 2025 – Great American Media continues to build on the success of its Original series lineup with the premiere of “Crossroad Springs,” a moving new drama debuting on Pure Flix, Thursday, August 28, and on Great American Family, Sunday, August 31, as part of the flagship network’s “Faith & Family Sundays” program event. “Crossroad Springs,” starring Jonathan Stoddard (A Royal Christmas Ballet), Emily Alatalo (Christmas In Maple Hills), Shaun Johnston (“Heartland”), Kate Drummond (“Heartland”), Brittany Underwood (A Royal Christmas Ballet), Jesse Hutch (A Little Women’s Christmas), Jon McLaren (“When Hope Calls”), Erin Agostino (The Jingle Bell Jubilee), and Franco Lo Presti (“Bad Blood”), bring audiences stories rooted in faith, family, and the strength found in unity.

Built around the simple but powerful idea that the end of one road can lead to something greater, Crossroad Springs follows a family at a pivotal turning point and a town becoming a symbol of resilience, purpose, and hope.

“We are very proud to introduce our audience to this new series,” said Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Great American Media. “Like our other Original series, ‘Crossroad Springs’ furthers our mission to create meaningful content anchored in timeless values. With compelling storytelling, heartfelt performances, and themes that encourage and inspire, ‘Crossroad Springs’ continues the Great American Media tradition of wholesome entertainment for the entire family,” Abbott concluded.

“Crossroad Springs” follows the Hamilton family, adult siblings James (Stoddard) and Janet (Alatalo), their aging family members, dad, Willis (Johnston), and Aunt Amy (Drummond), who are eking out a living on Hamilton Ranch with financial hardships and staffing shortages. James, a pastor in Chicago, and Janet, an ER doctor in a neighboring town, feel called to return home to help the family. Once there, the siblings encounter the son of the owner of the neighboring farm, Daniel Newman (Hutch), who are all wary of each other due to a generational feud between the families. As he settles into his new day-to-day life on the farm, James begins to realize there are no places to worship on the thousands of acres of farms. There, in the environment of come-as-you-are vibes, barns, rodeo arenas, even outdoors under clear night skies, James starts a cowboy church right there in the place where faith, family, and ranch life go hand in hand.

“Crossroad Springs” is produced by Nicely and Brainpower. Produced by Jessica Reis. Marco Deufemia and Paula Tiberius direct from an original teleplay by Paula Tiberius. For more information, go to www.greatamericanfamily.com and www.greatamericanpureflix.com

I have to say, I’m especially excited for ‘Crossroad Springs’! From what we’ve learned in the press release, it sounds like a wonderful new series where every trail leads back to what matters most... faith and family!

  1. I have been waiting for you to post this. I too am so excited about this series. It has a great cast and love the focus being on faith and family. I keep hoping for a announcement about the renewal of When Hope Calls and County Rescue. But When Calls the Heart is scheduled to be filing from July 1 to the end of October. With both Brian Bird and Michael Landon Jr being involved with that show. I am thinking we will probably not get a announcement until after that one is done filming.

  4. This looks amazing. I have been rewatching Heartland from the beginning, I am on season 3 now. Sometimes I didn't understand why they haven't let Amy move on from Ty, it has been many years since he died. Not that I wanted her to move on, but just wondered why they didn't, cause everyone loves a good love story. And that is just it, Amy and Ty were such a wonderfully, beautifully written love story for the ages. They were truly best friends and then they got together and fell in love, though Amy had said she loved Ty a long time. They went thru so much together in such a short life (for Ty).

So if this show is anything like that, I would love it. Heartland took its time building the stories and they didn't just end, they would go on for many episodes, the struggles and such. Just such a wonderfully written show.

I cannot wait for this new show, and to see Grandpa Jack, and to see Jesse Hutch weekly.

  6. Several Western TV series could be described as having a "cowboy" theme, and a few are set in the spring. Here are a few examples:
    Ransom Canyon (2025):
A new series on Netflix based on a series of books, this drama centers around three farming dynasties battling for control of land, according to Cosmopolitan. It's a modern Western with elements of cowboy culture.

    Outer Range:
While not exclusively a cowboy show, this series features a ranch family in the American West facing mysterious events, according to Reddit.

    1923:
This prequel to "Yellowstone" explores the early 20th century, focusing on the Dutton family's struggle to survive in Montana, according to IMDb.

    Yellowstone:
While not set in a specific season, Yellowstone features a strong cowboy element, portraying the struggles of the Dutton ranch family in Montana, according to IMDb.

    1. those shows aren't clean & that's what these viewers want....nothing from Taylor Sheridan would appeal to them unless watched through VidAng. which cuts out a lot of language & scenes. Also, the show is called Crossroad Springs --it has nothing to do with the season. Lol.

  9. What a superb cast! I can see GAF keeping this one around for several seasons. Now if we could only get news on When Hope Calls. Why the hold up?

  10. That’s impressive to see Jack from Heartland in the cast. We’ve been watching the repeats on UP, and if this ends up being anything like Heartland, then I’ll be watching. Robert

  14. I wish GAC would start putting their series on dvds. It would be nice to take your time watching them in the evenings. I watch a half hour of WCTH every night. It’s so enjoyable, to see the characters grow(I am amazed by how far Angela has come) and it’s very relaxing before bed.
