Graduation Cards
Fantastic news today from Great American Pure Flix and Deadline, Carlos and Alexa PenaVega will star in their FIRST film for Great American Pure Flix titled: "Mr. Manhattan."
The movie will be available on the Great American Pure Flix streaming service on May 24, 2024. There is no word yet on whether it will eventually air on Great American Family, but that is my hope for those of you who do not have this streaming service.

"Mr. Manhattan" Storyline: Mason Bradley (Carlos PenaVega) makes a promise to his brother and sister-in-law to be godfather to their newborn son (and future children). Mason has exciting news of his own: he’s just been accepted to Columbia Law School, which comes as a shock to his fiancé(e), Dani (Alexa PenaVega). Ten years on, Mason is surround by big city life and obsessed with becoming partner in his firm. He and Dani have broken up. Just when Mason feels personal success is at hand, he receives an unimaginable call. His brother and sister-in-law have tragically been killed in a car accident. Mason is now a single father with two children.
Of course, this is not the first time Carlos and Alexa PenaVega, this real-life married couple (and parents to three children and one on the way any day!), have starred in a movie together. The two have starred in Enchanted Christmas, Love at Sea, three Picture Perfect Mysteries, Love in the Limelight, Never to Late to Celebrate, and other projects!
Carlos PenaVega shared the "Mr. Manhattan" movie news on his Instagram page with the comment:
"We are so excited for this one and all that we have coming up with you guys! What a team! 👏🔥🔥❤️❤️"
So... that sounds promising that more projects are in the works with Carlos & Alexa with Great American Pure Flix, and perhaps, Great American Family!
In fact, Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Great American Media, shared this exciting tid-bit in the Deadline article, “Carlos and Alexa are audience favorites and so beloved for their commitment to family on and off the screen, which is the foundation of Mr. Manhattan. And we are excited about a number of additional projects in development with these two enormously talented actors.”
Candace Cameron Bure responded to this movie news with great support:
"It’s a good one! You’re gonna enjoy it!!!

In other Great American Family movie news, Danica McKellar posted yesterday on her social media that she will be filming her Great American Christmas movie soon with the image below...
Be sure to enlarge the image above to see the almost hidden text in the leather-bound notebook. Since Danica specifically pointed to the message, "God is in the details," I'm hoping this means her upcoming Christmas movie this year on Great American Family will be faith-filled. We'll have to wait and see.

This is wonderful news! I really love my Pure Flix subscription and have been watching it even more while movies are taking a break on GAF. I hope Carlos and Alexa make movies for Great American Family too. I think they would be a great fit for GAF!

fiancé refers to a man who is engaged to be married, & fiancée refers to a woman.

Fiancé: Fiancé - Someone that has promised he will marry you, and you have accepted his proposal. Boyfriend - A guy that you have a romantic relationship with.

Thank you for stating what many of us probably were thinking- It made me laugh to see 'gramnar', after the person gave us a 'grammar' lesson. =D I think with all the craziness swirling around the world these days, it would be extra lovely spreading sunshine and blessings rather than a (kind of high brow) lengthy lesson on the proper words to use. DeleteAlexa and Carlos PenaVega have shared with their followers some very, very sad news today. They have lost their infant baby girl, Indy Rex. (I thought those of you who don't have social media would want to know.)
ReplyDeleteMy heart is breaking for Alexa and Carlos and their children, Ocean, Kingston, and Rio - as I'm lifting them all up in prayer. We know Indy Rex is in the arms of Jesus now and they will all be reunited one day.
I wanted to share this with all of you - so you would be lifting the PenaVega family up in prayer during this difficult time.

ReplyDeleteAbigail, According to their statement, it says the baby was born "at rest". I know Alexa has had some complications with this pregnancy since their move to Tennessee from Hawaii.
DeleteI know many pray warriors are lifting them up now. They have certainly been on my heart and in my prayers continually since I read this sad news. I know they are Christ followers and I pray this draws them even closer to Him.
Danica is filming A Royal Christmas Ball; the one she originally said she was filming for last year.

DeleteI've seen "Royal Christmas Ball" listed in various production notes, and I'm hoping this is Danica's movie. She's said that her upcoming Christmas movie project has been in-the-making for awhile, so it's sounding like this is the year for it! Have you, by chance, seen an actual confirmation somewhere?

ReplyDeleteI heard this extremely sad news as well. They are such amazing people and my heart also breaks for their entire close knit family. I follow both of them on Instagram and I knew Alexa was experiencing some difficulties this time. I also said some prayers for them. I hated hearing about this. They are exceptional parents and were so excited about adding to their lovely family. Thank you for sharing. I wish the outcome could have been different. As a mother myself, I can't imagine going through a stillbirth. 🙏 You are right. Indy is an angel in heaven.
