My Quick Take:

2025 is poised to be another truly joyful Christmas movie season, with Great American Family’s schedule of faith-filled, family-centered stories.

It warms my heart to see beloved stars returning once again, along with some new faces, for their 5th annual Christmas celebration!

Please note: I am not currently seeing Candace Cameron Bure's previously announced second Great American Christmas movie with Cameron Mathson on the list, the sequel to "Home Sweet Christmas." Stay tuned for any updates there. Could it be exclusively premiering on PureFlix or somewhere else this year?

Additionally, "Coupled Up for Christmas" premiered last year on GAF; the film is set to premiere this December on PureFlix.

I hope you’ll discover many wonderful movies throughout the holiday season. I’d love to hear which films you’re most excited about seeing this Christmas on Great American Family. Please share your top picks in comments.

Joyous Christmas Blessings to You All,
NetπŸŽ„

  1. 5 years now, and even though there will definitely be a few changes along the way, it still looks happier and more hopeful then Hallmark's dismal lineup.

Very pleased to see a bright, and humble looking lineup that we know won't compromise any views at any time (unlike that other network that still has a hard lesson to learn). -Maria

    1. disagree. Hallmark has more heartfelt storylines this year than they've had the past couple of years & although missing some faves, have much better matches in pairings with stars than last Christmas also. I don't even know half of the actors in this post. Also, the press releases are all over the place. There aren't 16as they've said there would be. One is from last year (well really from 2023) Coupled Up-- that is only showing their PF premiere so that shouldn't count nor even be in the press release mixed in and not separated. As Net said, where is the Home SC sequel? Even if swapping those two, that's still not 16. They have a different press release from PR Newswire saying Surprise movie...which is weird & also if it's CCB & Cameron's movie, everyone already knows about it. This is so unorganized. EW & PR Newswire have different announcements & the PF dates vs linear dates are making it cumbersome to read through.

    2. or...this goes with my last comment in reply...is the surprise movie going to be The Christmas Ring

    3. Agreed 100 %.
My dream will come true if Kristoffer Polaha wakes up and move to GAF. Dreaming of a movie with him and Jill Wagner. I also wish that GAF buys the movie rights for Mystery 101 and continues to air new episodes. Just dreaming 😴

  2. Additional note: Yes, this network obviously doesn't have the huge staff and writers that Hallmark has, hence the low number of new content and occasional changes

But that's not a bad thing when you know that the content will be good. Having time to dedicate to making sure what you produce is the top of the line content you want should matter more then just making 1 movie after the other to fulfill a giant quota.

And also, Hallmark didn't start off with a huge staff or lineup, it grew that after many years of working towards it.

People are more hungry then ever for good content that doesn't compromise their beliefs and for some kind of hope in this dark world, that's what this network has been working to provide since 2021 and will continue to do so as long it still has it's growing number of supporters!

Ignore the nay sayers and just enjoy the movies and shows, and continue to let GAF know how much we appreciate them in their mission! -Maria

    1. Well said Maria! I would rather have less with the good content we can trust than have so many poorly produced and not know what to expect with each scene!

As always Net....thank you for always keeping us informed! You're the best my friend!

    2. Bravo, Maria! Well said! My sentiments exactly! GAF is trying to give us what we need and want. Christian-based movies are answers to prayers.

    3. Thank you both for the kind words. And to the anons above, many of the actors above have been in other faith based films before, and if Hallmark is really more 'heartfelt' this year, then why did they just get rid of their more emotionally based Christmas lineup this year and is instead doing all movies on their rom com based main channel? And let's not even get into their cheap reality shows!
Hallmark is in diress. And GAF, despite their craziness, is in better shape then them. -Maria

  3. Coupled Up For Christmas is only listed for Pure Flix not for Cable.

Where's the 16 new Christmas movies that were promised in the promo at the beginning of the week?

I'll watch most of these, also interesting to find out that Once Upon A Christmas Crown is disributed by Nicely - Florence

  4. This is exciting news, but I am still anxious to see an official announcement from GAF. I thought we were going to have 16 premieres. This is confusing since it lists 14 without Home Sweet Christmas Wedding, and I wouldn't think GAF would count Coupled Up for Christmas as new premiere. It also looks like we all have some new titles to learn with all the changes. Ha!! I am glad I have Pure Flix since many are airing first on GAPF. However, I will still watch all the premieres on GAF to help with ratings. Thank you Net for always informing us first of all the Christmas news! On a side note, I just watched episode 5 of Crossroad Springs and my love for this new series grows with each episode! Gena

  5. I've got to say, I am a little bit disappointed with some of these movie choices. I am probably excited for about half of these movies. I don't know...I expected MORE for their 5 year anniversary. Hopefully they have some more things through out these next 3 months.

  7. Great movies and all but I’m only seeing 13 ( not counting Coupled). Wasn’t there supposed to be 16?. I wonder if this is the full list or if GAF will eventually release more.

And like you said, where’s Candace & Cameron’s movie? Candace just posted the other day that it was premiering this Christmas. I’m baffled by this.

Thanks for posting the list, Net! I’m looking forward to most of these.

By the way, I’m noticing some more title changes.

  9. Surely there are going to be addition(s).

If I'm reading the above schedule correctly there is nothing listed for GAF between 1st and 15th November - there's hardly likely to be a free weekend.

Maybe Candace and Cameron then but there are rumors of another acquired movie _ Florence

    ReplyDelete
  10. What’s about The Christmas Roses
    Starring Casey Elliott

    For GAFAM

  11. So...here's what we have based on other press releases...the 13 you have (not counting Coupled either) plus one surprise that I'm thinking is The Christmas Ring after it's short theater run...& these two...Love on Kringle Lake which is a 2021 movie with a 4.3 rating on imdb called The Christmas Pitch...& Mistletoe at the Manor (new but on imdb under The Christmas Garden). So that would =16 linear premieres. So...looks like CCB & Cam got axed even with their contracts or at least for him, he's supposed to get a movie. If his deal has ended bc it started in Sept 23 or somewhere close to there, did he not renew or was he not asked to renew...I know a lot of grumblers have commented they won't watch him bc of the character he plays on GH which is stupid. So...Idk. Something's up.

  12. I feel sorry for all the work you have put into this, Net - now you'll have to do it again

GAF have now put out a press release with the full schedule and a lot of the dates have changed.

Poor EW , the "exclusive" list which they announced this morning had been revamped and nobody thought to tell them.

In addition to Candace/ Cameron there are two more acquired movies which I haven't heard of before and there is a surprise movie on the 20th December the details of which they are not revealing.

But interestingly they are saying a surprise Christmas FILM (not movie) so perhaps it could be British based? - Florence

    1. Florence, You are so super sweet to think of me!

Well, the dates EW released are all correct, and like you said, it didn't have information on the movies "Love at Kringle Lake" and "Mistletoe at the Manor" (wt), and the BIG Surprise movie. I'm sure you've noticed that I've added those in, and I've been checking back repeatedly for additions, corrections, etc.

I've also heard a lot of people express confusion over the GAF press release - since it states movies more than once and gives the dates of the movie's premiere on Great American Family and PureFlix. I hope the way I have it written above makes it easy to read.

I considered removing the PureFlix airdates, but I know some like referring to those dates, as well.

Hopefully, more announcements are coming soon! :)

  13. So excited to see all the new ones! And so very grateful that we don't have to be on edge throughout the movie for fear of them including something that conflicts with our Christian convictions! I, too, am a bit disappointed that there weren't the promised 16, but maybe this list isn't finished. I am just super excited for the Christmas season to celebrate Jesus, and am really looking forward to seeing all the movies. God bless you, dear Net!

  16. I am a little disappointed where is A Home Sweet Christmas Wedding. I hope it is not the surprise Christmas film that is streaming on Pure Flix. That to me would be a big disrespect to the Great American Family fans who have been with them since day one and supporting this network in their beginning.
