The Great American Family Facebook Live Event was such a delightful show!
I've embedded the video of the live show below, which aired for two hours. If you'd like the CliffNotes version, I'll give you a taste of the highlights here...
Cameron Mathison, always the charming host, kicked off the event with a conversation with Great American Media CEO Bill Abbott. The two reflected on the movies they've created together and discussed his upcoming film, Another Sweet Christmas with Candace Cameron Bure, coming this holiday season!
Although no clips from Another Sweet Christmas were shared, fans enjoyed a heartwarming moment from their first film, Home Sweet Christmas.
One of the big announcements of the night was the launch of Great American Family’s brand new live channel feed: GFAM+! This new service can be purchased by subscription monthly or yearly, and then viewers will be able to watch new movies and other content on GAF commercial free!
The event continued with Danica McKellar sharing a scene from her beloved film A Cinderella Christmas Ball, while Trevor Donovan (with a new look - sporting a mustache!) treated fans to a clip from Jingle Bell Princess. Both stars reminisced about the fun memories behind the making of these festive favorites.
Danica and Trevor also unveiled not one but two sneak previews from their upcoming movie Grounded in Love, premiering Saturday, September 27, 2025, on Great American Family and even earlier on August 7th via Great American Pure Flix.
Later, Jillian Murray joined Trevor to present a touching scene from A Little Women's Christmas. Before wrapping up, Jillian revealed she’ll be starring in a new sports-themed Christmas movie for Great American Family, though that’s all she could share for now!
Author Ann Voskamp joined Cameron for a heartfelt discussion about finding peace, joy, and inspiration during the Christmas season, as we focus on its true meaning- Jesus!
The evening ended on a joyful note with Cindy Busby joining Cameron to chat about her holiday classics Crown Prince for Christmas and Joy for Christmas. The two shared plenty of laughs and warm holiday memories.
And of course, no Christmas event would be complete without a little fun, Cameron played a festive round of “This or That” with all of the special guests!

Although I was hoping for more movie previews and hints, it was still so fun to see so many great stars from Great American Family.
Hoping we will get more announcements soon!

Enchanting Christmas (2024)

Thanks for sharing this. I decided to leave FB a few years ago but was curious if anything new was coming.
ReplyDeleteI only caught the end of this last night. It looked fun, but I thought there would be more movie news for Christmas. Christie
ReplyDeleteChristie, I was hoping for more announcements, too, or at least more hints from Trevor, Danica, and Cindy that they would at least be doing a Christmas movie for GAF. I think lots of viewers would've liked that. I know I would have! :)
DeleteWhat’s everybody’s thoughts on GFam+ ?
ReplyDeleteWell... this is probably a great option for those who don't want to buy into other cable channels and they can have just Great American Family content without the commercials.
DeleteGFam+ is a live channel feed, so it sounds like you can't really choose what to watch. The channel simply airs programming 24/7.
I personally have FrndlyTV, which lets me record and watch later. The only downside is having to fast forward through commercials, but I love commercials at Christmas time, so I wouldn't want to miss that. I hope GAF stays with FrndlyTV for infinity!!!!
Would love to know what you and others think!
Net-Thank you so much for adding the event.

Gabe's Mom, Happy to share! :)
DeleteThis event was over before I even learned about it. Too bad.
ReplyDeleteI did, however, watch the first episode of "Holidazed" on Hallmark Sunday. Just like the guests chosen to be profiled, I don't believe that -- forgetting his name, I'll call him "engagement guy" -- that his "chance encounter" with Paul and Andrew (I think that I heard Paul call him "Drew") in the ship's gym wasn't staged to make the marriage proposal to his partner of 9 years and ensuing events to give some romantic excitement to the series. (Of course, I expect to see "a kiss at the end" of the wedding ceremony in the Hallmark tradition. π)
