The picture above features Cameron Mathison and Candace Cameron Bure sitting in a treehouse as they are currently filming a sequel to their Christmas movie, "Home Sweet Christmas," which encores tonight on Great American Family. (see schedule below!)

Candace also posted a video from behind-the-scenes, which showed the treehouse in a studio. Candace's followers were shocked to see the treehouse wasn't actually in the forest, but Candace reassured her followers that the original treehouse is indeed in a forest, but this movie features a movie within a movie, and the second treehouse was built on a soundstage.

Enjoy "Home Sweet Christmas" and more Christmas movie classics airing tonight!

Duck Dynasty - The Revival

“Duck Dynasty: The Revival” follows Willie and Korie and their growing family of adult children and grandchildren, the next generation of Robertsons living on the family homestead in Louisiana. With their dynasty expanding into more than just ducks, Willie and Korie will bring their signature humor and family fun as they grapple with mapping out the future of Duck Commander, watching the kids navigate marriage, children and businesses of their own, and passing down the family legacy.

The All-New Series
Duck Dynasty: The Revival
Airs Sunday, June 1, 2025
at 9pm/8c on A&E

The success of the original A&E reality show "Duck Dynasty" and its recent revival can be traced back to the patriarch of the Robertson family, Phil Robertson. In 1972, after rededicating his life to the Lord and returning to his family, Phil invented his own duck call, laying the foundation for both a business empire and a cultural phenomenon.

But what the Robertson family is truly known for goes far beyond hunting, beards, and duck calls. Although Phil Robertson passed away recently over Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 25, 2025, his mission here on earth continues. His greatest legacy is not in fame or fortune, but in his family's unwavering commitment to their faith and their mission to share the Gospel wherever they go.

Phil Robertson's real-life story can be seen in the movie, "The Blind," which is available on DVD / Blu-ray and streaming through Amazon Prime with Great American Pure Flix.

The film is currently Amazon's #1 Best Seller DVD in Faith & Spirituality.

Whether you're watching the new TV movies, the awards show, or getting hooked on the new reality series, there’s something exciting to watch all weekend long!

Interestingly, the two movies airing this weekend are yet again two films that previously premiered on streaming services. In case you missed it, you can see reviews above for both movies from Maria, who is such a great friend and loyal, trusted reviewer here at It's a Wonderful Movie! Thank you so much, Maria!

In addition to the movies, I'm also looking forward to watching the K-LOVE Fan Awards and seeing so many of my favorite performers, including Anne Wilson, MercyMe, Leanna Crawford, Matthew West, Michael W. Smith with for KING & COUNTRY, and many more! Additionally, I'm looking forward to seeing which movie wins the Film Impact Award!

On Sunday evening... watching the "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" I know will be bittersweet since Phil's recent passing. My family and I have lots of fun memorabilia from the original series: t-shirts, hats, duck calls (of course!), books, DVDs, and my nephew even had a fake beard! Even though each episode had hilarious moments (especially with Uncle Si), my favorite part of the original "Duck Dynasty" series was always at the end when the family all gathered around the table to eat, and Phil would lead them in prayer. I'm looking forward to seeing more of that heartfelt faith in "Duck Dynasty: The Revival" and those lighthearted, genuine moments that make the Robertson family so special.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

SHINING HIS LIGHT:

"Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet; praise him with the harp and lyre. Praise him with the cymbals; praise him with the loud-sounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!"

  2. So another weekend of the same movie that have aired over 20 times on Great American Family. I am beginning to wonder if the series Vindication will ever air on there. All they say is stayed for upcoming announcements on when the new Ainsley McGregor mystery will air on GAF. Sorry but according to google they know exactly when it is going to air as schedules are released so channel guides can be updated months in advance. We all knew that it would take time for GAF to build up their move library but it is going to be five years in September. By now I thought we would be seeing at least one new movie a month.

    1. Gigi, I know... I keep hoping we'll see more new movie announcements from GAF. They recently shared on Facebook that new films are on the way, so I'm optimistic that we'll get some news shortly.

I started watching the first season of Vindication on Pure Flix, and wow, it is deep and intense. There's some violence and various situations where characters have to make moral decisions. While some characters choose a sinful path, others choose wisely and are vindicated.

I do wonder if the GAF programmers were concerned that the show might be too much for Great American Family.

    2. Net, If they are wondering or concerned that the show might be too much why even announced it. While I am trying to be optimistic that we will get some news shortly. I can’t help but wonder what it taking so long for any announcements. They know what their be and can made adjustments where needed.. So they know when the new Ainsley Movie will air. They could tell us the date already instead of keeping it a big secret.
I understand they want to build the Pure Flix streaming numbers up.But when Amazon, Prime, Peacock and others. Are seeing their numbers fall that should. And their subscribers are either dropping or pausing streaming.if they are having issues perhaps GAF should take a step back.

  3. Was so sad to hear of Phil’s death, but knowing where he is and no longer in pain must bring peace to the family. It’s nice to see the show coming back.

Also, love that cute picture of Candace & Cameron in the treehouse. I can’t wait to see their new movie this Christmas! Christie

  7. The movie "Unsung Hero" was nominated for Film Impact at the 2025 K-LOVE Fan Awards. It was nominated alongside "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," "The Unbreakable Boy," & "Bonhoeffer". While "Unsung Hero" was nominated, the winner of the Film Impact award was not "Unsung Hero" but was instead the series "The Chosen" for its season 5 theatrical release

I never got a chance to watch Duck Dynasty but I have listened to a couple of Sadie’s podcasts and I do enjoy seeing the family (I saw her dad in a movie, I think Gods Not Dead?) 1. Paula, I enjoy listening to Sadie’s podcasts, too! She has such a great way of sharing faith and encouragement.

And yes, Willie & Korie Robertson both made a cameo appearance in "God's Not Dead." You’re absolutely right!

And Sadie had a role as one of the students in the second movie, "God's Not Dead 2."

Happy 7th birthday to your daughter! πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰πŸ˜Š What a wonderful time I'm sure she'll have since she has such a sweet, thoughtful mama!

A pool party sounds like the perfect way to beat that heat! Hope you all have lots and lots of fun and keep cool, if possible! ☀️πŸ’¦

      Have a blessed weekend!!!

    2. Thank you Net for the birthday wishes! She had such a blast, with all her cousins and little friends she got to invite. It was a lot of fun but the weather here is so warm in CA (we don’t really have a spring) so probably won’t be doing this for future birthdays but glad she got to experience it. πŸ’—πŸ˜Š

  11. The first season of "The Librarians: The Next Chapter" will have 12 episodes. It has been confirmed that the series has been given a two-season order, and the first season of 12 episodes has been filmed and is in post-production. The second season is also planned, but the exact episode count for that season is not yet known
