Variety has just announced that 'When Calls the Heart' stars Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing will reunite for a 2024 Hallmark Christmas Movie, ‘Santa Tell Me!’
Hallmark is currently rolling out this movie news and more for the Television Critics Association press tour on Tuesday, February 6th.
Also, Variety revealed, "During Hallmark’s presentation, the network also announced the rebranding of two of their channels. Hallmark Drama is being rebranded to Hallmark Family on Feb. 28, while Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is changing to Hallmark Mystery on March 6."
My head is spiiiinnnniiiinnnng right now! Like, the OG main couple actually in a movie together after so many years since Season 5 ended?!!
ReplyDeleteI might have to give this a try.
-Maria
Gotta be kidding me!!!
ReplyDeleteThey could stick Hallmark Movies & Mysteries because they haven’t make any movies rather than Hallmark Movies -> Hallmark Movies & Mysteries -> Hallmark Mysteries
If they haven’t make any movies & mysteries movies
So I guess Daniel is breaking from GAF? He's done movies for them the last few years.
ReplyDeleteI am not always a fan when 2 actors from previous popular shows or movies go and do another project together. It just doesnt always work. Wasn't a fan of PH and KS when they did those Perfect Bride movies. Felt they were trying too much. I am just not the biggest EK fan either.
I hope the rebranding of Drama brings more movies to that station.
Sabrina, I know what you mean; sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't when stars are reunited like this.
DeleteHowever this reunion goes, I think this Christmas movie will surely be a ratings success for Hallmark. ~Net
I hope Daniel Lissing will do another movies with GAFAM
ReplyDelete1 for Hallmark
1 for GAFAM
Hallmark can re-label, but what is the content that matters.
ReplyDeleteHope that Daniel Lissing will still do movies for GAF.
-Gabe’s Mom
Gabe's Mom, I also hope Daniel hasn't said goodbye to Great American Family, but I know he and Erin have been hoping to do a movie together for some time. ~Net
DeleteInterestingly though Christmas Keepsake was not an original GAC movie but bought in from Nicely - Florence
Deletewait I thought he said he would never work with Hallmark when he left. Another Hallmark movie that will feature cameo when the WCTH castmates. Because hallmark loves those cameos lol.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what to think about the re-branding of Hallmark Drama. If there's a separate "family" channel, will this push regular Hallmark into even more woke, adult material?
ReplyDeletemelnewlife, It seems they are always trying to "evolve" and push the limits in some ways. I'm hoping the other Hallmark networks won't change too drastically, but who knows what they are planning down the road. ~Net
DeleteExciting news!
ReplyDeleteExcited for this one! I am in the minority here and have never gotten a chance to watch When calls the heart, but I love Erin Krakow in all the Christmas movies Iv seen her in, especially in A Cookie Cutter Christmas so I know this one will be great!

This is great news!!! It just might break the internet!! Lol
ReplyDeleteHallmark Movies & Mysteries
ReplyDeleteTHE CASES OF MYSTERY LANE: DEATH IS LISTENING
CURIOUS CATERER: STICKS AND SCONES
That's right. The movie "Curious Caterer: Sticks & Stones" is currently filming until February 16th.
Delete"The Cases Of Mystery Lane: Death Is Listening" will begin filming on February 12th. ~Net
Does that mean Hallmark Family will be all family friendly while the other becomes less family friendly.
ReplyDeleteJoCo, Excellent question. I think it's interesting they are changing the Hallmark Drama channel name to Hallmark Family.
DeleteDo you suppose it could have anything to do with their competitor, Great American FAMILY??? Hmmm??? :)
I agree, it does make one wonder about the other channels.

Interesting question, it's possible that it's their response to fans' request to make their schedule more clear about whether the movie is family friendly or not. Hallmark Family will be 100% family friendly and the main Channel sometimes yes, sometimes less and sometimes not at all.
DeleteNet, I immediately thought the exact same thing, that the change to Hallmark Family was a direct result of Great American Family. It's a big deal to change a name like that - looks like a 'neon lights' moment where we can see Hallmark has revealed (without them openly revealing) that they're way more concerned about GAF than they every would openly admit publicly, if that makes sense.
DeleteAs to Hallmark Drama changing, just wondering if it will stay same definition since it hasn’t seem to be in Hi-Definition. .
DeleteJenn, That is an excellent point! I have the same feeling it's something they are considering, but would never reveal.

Starting tomorrow on HMN, An American in Austin will be streaming. For those who want to watch and review early. -Maria
ReplyDeleteDo you mean “An American in Austen” on HMN, Maria?
DeleteObviously. -Maria
DeleteNow that the movie shock has worn off enough, here's my questions:
ReplyDeleteWhat's to become of Miracles of Christmas? Will inspirational and emotional movies even still be made? They can't just forget all of the movies HMM made for Christmas! Will they go to the Family channel? Will Miracles of Christmas move there this year?
Most of the movies that network made were way better then the movies on the main channel, they can't just stop making those. Otherwise, what's to watch other then 1 romcom after the other while not knowing if it'll be woke or not? -Maria
Of course I am excited about this and definitely want to see it, they are my favorite couple along with Lee and Rosemary, but it also makes me miss Jack more. Seems like he's so close but not enough to Hope Valley. Working for Hallmark that is.
