New to town, Early is invited by teammate Beto to his family’s Mexican restaurant where Early is immediately smitten by the chef, Ariana (Lindsey Morgan). Wanting to get close to Ariana, Early applies for the prep cook position. Against Ariana’s wishes her father, Rodrigo (Esai Morales), hires him. After a cold start, their relationship softens when they learn they both share a strained relationship with their fathers. As they grow closer, Ariana reveals to Early that she is secretly planning on opening a restaurant. When Early makes the team he receives a congratulatory kiss from a flirtatious agent, Taylor. Things are looking good for the pair until Early suffers an injury on the field that threatens to destroy his career and send him home to the farm.

The movie on Pixl sounds good but unfortunately I do not get it. :( But I did request it from my cable company. :) Thanks for telling us about it.
ReplyDeleteWish we could get PIXL on DirecTV. That sounds like a station I would watch all the time. I am clicking that link you shared and requesting it now. Thanks for bringing this station to my attention.
ReplyDeleteI hope DirecTV adds PIXL soon and hopefully not just amoung the Choice Extra package. It would be great paired up with UP and Hallmark
DeleteLove the KITTEN BOWL! You must know, it's a Purrr-fect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThis is the sneak peek for Casa Vita. Looks like a good one

With Dish Network PIXL is a channel like STARZ; it shows movies for free for a few days, and then it's not available for a long time. When it is free, I've found that some of the movies I've recorded show up on Hallmark months later under different names, so it's kind of fun to get a sneak peak before they show on Hallmark. In order to have PIXL all the time, it requires a package deal for $5 or $6 per month, but personally I don't think it's worth paying for it because they eventually show the movies on Hallmark as new premieres (I'm not sure about all of the movies on PIXL, I just know this is the case with the few I've recorded).
ReplyDeleteNet, you and your US visitors can watch Pixl movies on Youtube for a subscription ($1.99 / month OR $14.99 / year). Unfortunately, that's only for US residents, it looks like.

Also, there are lots of family friendly movies on there, including some from Hallmark, and of course, their own original content as well. I haven't tried it yet, but I am sorely tempted.
I have PIXL and it is very reminiscent of Hallmark. Clean family oriented films. Worth checking on getting.
ReplyDeleteHa-hahahahaha....good one, Net!! "Poor Marcus", my sediments exactly!! Do you ever think that he's going to get "the girl"?? I'll be tuned in to find out...kitten bowl is on my agenda for Sunday, too!!

Technically they aren't Hallmark movies. They are movies from Larry Levinson Productions and the channel is partially owned by Larry Levinson so they show up on Pixl first before Hallmark gets distribution rights. Right now those who have Dish can enjoy a free preview of Pixl network.
ReplyDeleteI watched Casa Vita and it was a great movie. Family friendly but different than the usual rom com fare I watch on Hallmark. It featured a Mexican family who owns a restaurant so traditional cuisine was prominent throughout. And the leads were younger 20s and we really got to see them coming into their own outside of their parents.Plus the music was great to. Really made you want to move!
ReplyDeleteOkay I've watch 3 movies on PixL and so far they've all been more diverse than the Hallmark ones lately. They actually incorporated minorities in ways that didnt feel like just tokens.
