Looking for a Christmas Movie on TV?

I have received many e-mails from visitors to my site, wondering if certain movies are going to be on TV this year... Movies like Holiday Inn, Miracle on 34th Street, A Grandpa for Christmas, Christmas with the Kranks, The Christmas List, Borrowed Hearts, and the list goes on and on...

So, I decided to create this Post and hopefully we can all share movies we are looking for - and if anyone finds a time it is airing, they can share it here with everyone!

  1. I will start with "A Grandpa for Christmas"

It cannot be seen on basic cable this year. It is airing here:

    A Grandpa for Christmas

    Sat, Dec 14, 5:30 AM / TMCHD

    Sat, Dec 14, 5:30 AM / TMCEAL

    Sat, Dec 14, 8:30 AM / TMCWAL

    Mon, Dec 16, 6:30 AM / STARZFAMHD

Maybe, some of you have these extra channels and can watch it there. Fortunately, it is also available on DVD!

    Hope that helps! Merry Christmas!!!

  2. And, as for "Miracle on 34th Street"... you can see the 1994 version on HBO, but I do not see the classic version on TV, at all, this year on TV.

Course, both versions of "Miracle on 34th Street" are on DVD.

Maybe some of you have HBO and can enjoy the re-make version! It is such a sweet family Christmas film.

It Happened One Night isn't a Christmas movie. Did you, perhaps mean the movie - Remember the Night ? If so, it airs Dec 17 on TCM at 9:45 PM ET.

  16. How about Mary Christmas with John Schneider??

  17. How about the TV networks broadcasting more of the old classics more often instead of repeating a couple of newer movies over and over again. And put the classics on throughout the season and not just on Christmas Eve. We need to get people in the mood of Christmas and not just on Christmas Day. Also, the networks should start airing the old Christmas specials from the 60s and 70s. Such specials as Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Andy Williams, John Denver, the Osmond's. These brought a good set of Christmas and family values into our homes and good programming that the whole family can enjoy and learn from Our kids don't know the feeling of the holidays anymore.
