Looking for a Christmas Movie on TV?
I have received many e-mails from visitors to my site, wondering if certain movies are going to be on TV this year... Movies like Holiday Inn, Miracle on 34th Street, A Grandpa for Christmas, Christmas with the Kranks, The Christmas List, Borrowed Hearts, and the list goes on and on...
So, I decided to create this Post and hopefully we can all share movies we are looking for - and if anyone finds a time it is airing, they can share it here with everyone!

Maybe, some of you have these extra channels and can watch it there. Fortunately, it is also available on DVD!
Hope that helps! Merry Christmas!!!
And, as for "Miracle on 34th Street"... you can see the 1994 version on HBO, but I do not see the classic version on TV, at all, this year on TV.
ReplyDeleteCourse, both versions of "Miracle on 34th Street" are on DVD.
Maybe some of you have HBO and can enjoy the re-make version! It is such a sweet family Christmas film.
If you are a Time Warner Cable subscriber Miracle on 34th St (1947) is available on demand (movies>enjoy better>holidays for rental (2.99).
DeleteThanks for compiling this great list!

Merry Christmas!
What about "A Christmas Carol" with George C. Scott? That's my favorite version and I haven't been able to find it showing this year at all! :-(
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like they plan to play that version this year. Agree... :-(
DeleteTHE NEW MOVIES ARE NO GOOD THIS YEAR.
ReplyDeleteChristmas For A Dollar (2013) is excellent.
DeleteI would love to see Samantha—An American Girl Holiday, It Happened One Night and One Magic Christmas
ReplyDeleteThose are all nice movies, however I don't see them listed this year.
DeleteIt Happened One Night isn't a Christmas movie. Did you, perhaps mean the movie - Remember the Night ? If so, it airs Dec 17 on TCM at 9:45 PM ET.
do you know if the I love Lucy Christmas episode will be on, I have never seen it except on YouTube
ReplyDeleteYes, the "I Love Lucy : Christmas Episode" will air in Color on CBS at 8 PM ET on Friday December 20th! Be sure to mark your Calendars for this one!
DeleteI would love to see "The Christmas List". Also, I love "Scrooge" with Albert Finney (I think I saw it on your list).
ReplyDeleteYou are so right - love The Christmas List and I don't see it listed this year. Bummer!
DeleteAs for Scrooge with Albert Finney, you can see it Dec 19 on TCM at 8 PM ET or Dec 23 on TCM at 6 PM ET.
Hope that helps!
Christmas With The Kranks is running on Starz, not sure if it will make it to free TV this year.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, thank you for the reminder that the "Kranks" are on Starz. Love that one, too! Hope some of you can catch them there!
DeleteI haven't seen Garfield's Christmas one in awhile (I do have it on DVD though). I also like the one with Pluto and chipmunks with the Christmas tree...oh and the one where Donald Duck is having a snow ball fight with his nephews.
ReplyDeleteHello Angell! You can see the Disney cartoons you mentioned in "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas" which airs Dec 14 ... ABC Family ... 10 AM ET or Dec 15 ... ABC Family ... 7:30 AM ET.
DeleteEnjoy! I love those, too! Merry Christmas!!!
Undercover Christmas with Jami Gertz?
ReplyDeleteIf You Believe with Ally Walker?
An American Christmas Carol with Henry Winkler?
Happy Christmas, Miss King?
Christmas at Water's Edge is a good movie about a girl volunteering at a community center.
ReplyDeleteA great article about a 'punker' who admits she loved Hallmark Christmas movies! LOL

One of my favorites is One Special Night with Julie Andrews and James Garner. Have not seen this movie on tv for a while.
ReplyDeleteLooking to see when It's a Wonderful Life is going to be on TV in Boston!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was posted here that it will be on NBC on Dec 20th.
DeleteMisty
They are planning to give ebbie on the UP channel on sunday the 15th if anyone is interested. Three days is also on the abc family channel on December 17th. I hope this helps someone :)
ReplyDeleteHow about Mary Christmas with John Schneider??
ReplyDeleteHow about the TV networks broadcasting more of the old classics more often instead of repeating a couple of newer movies over and over again. And put the classics on throughout the season and not just on Christmas Eve. We need to get people in the mood of Christmas and not just on Christmas Day. Also, the networks should start airing the old Christmas specials from the 60s and 70s. Such specials as Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Andy Williams, John Denver, the Osmond's. These brought a good set of Christmas and family values into our homes and good programming that the whole family can enjoy and learn from Our kids don't know the feeling of the holidays anymore.
ReplyDeleteLifetime has schedule "Dear Santa" on last night but didn't show they do this often, this is real good movie.
ReplyDeleteHi.Need to know when:
ReplyDelete"Miracle on 34th Street" "Holiday Inn" and "Meet me in St. Louis" is going to be on..Thanks
with so many other shows repeating themselves, where's Holiday Inn?
ReplyDeleteHoliday Inn? Great Christmas move! would love to watch it! there's lots of good ones posted too but all we see are constant repeats of others :-(
