I hope you all have the sweetest, coziest Valentine’s Day weekend!! 💕

With all the rom-coms airing over the weekend, I couldn’t help but reminisce about some of my favorites that include Valentine's Day in the story. The ones that came to mind for me were Love, Romance & Chocolate, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From the Heart, My Secret Valentine, Harmony from the Heart, and An Unexpected Valentine. Those are the kind of love stories I can watch over and over again!

Plus, I love a long list of rom-coms that don't include Valentine's Day in them. I'll just list 5 favorites... A Country Wedding, All of My Heart, Love in Bloom, The Blessing Bracelet, and Styled with Love.

I’d truly love to hear which romantic-comedies are your favorites, too! Please share in the comments below.

Also, are you planning to watch one of the new movies this weekend? I think they both look cute, and of course, I’m really looking forward to the new episode of When Calls the Heart, too!

I hope you also find something to love this weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone! Always remember that God's love for you is immeasurable!

Blessings and Love
to All of You!

SHARING GOD'S LOVE:

"...I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself."
~Jeremiah 31:3

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
~John 3:16

"But God proves His love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
~Romans 5:8

"Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love Never Fails..."

  7. This is completely off subject, but I wanted to share an experience a friend of mine had recently involving a Hallmark star. My friend and her husband took their twin girls to Disney World for their 5th birthday. While waiting for the van to pick them up from the airport in Orlando the twins caught the eye of a gentleman and he walks over and engages in a brief conversation with them. It was Travis Van Winkle arriving to film "Holiday Ever After: A Disney Wish Come True". My friend tapes a lot of her family so she caught this on film. Posted it...didn't know who he was until her Mom told her. Her dad pointed out Lacey Chabert passing by in the background. I don't have permission to share that, but it's definitely them. My friend says he was so nice to the girls! She's a very busy person and doesn't get to watch a lot of tv and that's why she had no clue who he was!

    3. Joyce - I love this story!!! And you know what... I've seen a few posts from park visitors who just happened upon them while they were filming or between takes. I love that your friend also had this magical moment!!! That is wonderful!!!

And I bet your friend will be a Travis Van Winkle fan from now on!!! :)

  8. I haven’t been watching much lately except the Winter Olympics and it’s been a blast!! So much fun!! Go USA 🇺🇸!! But maybe I’ll watch All Things Valentine this weekend. It’s one of my favorites. And I’ll always leave room for the dessert WCTH!

I have LOVED the winter games. I watch it all the time. Go USA, love the curling.

    3. Sabrina, curling is fun. My sister especially loves it. My favorites the men’s snowboarding or skiing. I love seeing them flip in the air. And races… can’t get enough of them!

    4. Abigail, Paula, and Sabrina...
I haven't watched a whole lot, but I've seen some of the ice skating. That's always been my favorite of every Winter Olympics.

I was hoping the man, Maxim Naumov, who lost his parents in the plane crash would do well, but he didn't come close to the podium. Even still, I know just being at the Olympics was a victory for him.

There's always a lot of emotion in these games.

    5. Abigail, Hope you also enjoy WCTH! I thought it was beautiful to see the Canfield family bow in prayer together in the intro - and so fun to everyone work together to help Minnie!!! Rosemary & Elizabeth were totally giving me Lucy and Ethel vibes again. Always love that!!! :)

And the best part for me... Christopher, Henry's son. The seriousness on his face felt so real and authentic. His story arc has been one of my favorites to watch. I'm really curious how it will have a resolution by the end of this season.

    6. This episode was so special. I so loved seeing the town help out Minnie(and it’s about time for her name to be on the window!) Hickam was so funny as usual, this time with his bee allergy and babbling about 5 little Hickam Juniors. But my favorite was the special moment between Nathan and Elizabeth when they discussed the serious topic of their children. So sweet. Had me crying. Oh, and Florence and Ned’s moment too about their precious memories. How wonderful this episode was!!

    7. Abigail, Oh, yes!!!! I loved that special moment with Florence and Ned, too!!! It was so beautiful to see the way they both treasure their love. Sometimes, we just don't get enough scenes like that with the supporting cast.

I also am so glad to see Mollie taking nursing courses. I’ve been hoping for this for so long.

  10. Review: Because of Cupid -
    Family-friendly? Yes -
    Recommend? Not my taste -

I just couldn't get into this movie, mainly because of the whole mythological slant. You have Cupid, who is...what, a magical figure who has come to earth in the form of this mischievous guy Hal, who concocts a love potion and antidote that doesn't work on everybody, and who can make himself (and his tea shop!) appear and disappear? If you say yes and can buy into this, then okay, maybe it's a good movie since it has a heart and wonderful acting by both Amy and Erin. But for me, I prefer my rom-coms straight and without relying on "magic", so this was a one-time watch for me.

    1. Mark, Thank you for the review... it's always nice to get your genuine, insightful thoughts on these movies.

I understand how you feel about "magic". Sometimes I feel the same way when there are Christmas movies with Santa "magic". Sometimes, it's cute and fun, and other times, it can be a little weird, so I totally get it.

    2. I'm willing to give it a shot just becuase Amy Groening is in it. An under utlized talent finally getting more lead chances in Hallmark movies.

    3. Hi Mark, I totally agree on the movie!
I was thinking “hhmmmmm” throughout the first 1/3 of it and I don’t know, I just couldn’t get through it, so I ended up deleting it. But to add to what Net mentioned, I absolutely do not mind the magic elements in Christmas movies, I make the exception for that 😊🎄🪄

  13. The Way to you was very good. Loved the pace of the movie, Kim and Aaron were great, just a top notch movie. Almost forgot it was Hallmark. Probably the best movie of the year for Hallmark.

Love for Starters was good, just the typical girl comes home to save dad's hotel/restaurant/business. Love Stephanie Bennett and the male lead was awesome. I enjoyed it, just some things were a little wonky like they have this critic coming in only a few days but find the time to frolick around, have a stain/paint fight, go all round and have dinners/lunch. It was so important and the critic was coming in a few days and they have SO MUCH to do, yet they pretty much goof around all the time. I did love that they both found their passions by the end.

Meet me in New York--It was so sweet and cute and funny.

I also want to say, how much I LOVE ALL The Ainsley Mcgregor movies. I just finished Watchmaker and I only hope they do the Aurora thing and keep making movies even after the books are all covered. I LOVE So many things:

    The brother/sis duo

The town, all the fun people. The dog, Bless your Arts, Book Club

But mostly I LOVE: Ainsley and Jake. How they have been together since the 1st movie. How sweet they are together. How they didn't do the typical couple never gets together or does at the end. Many mysteries end, and we never even see the couple, but Ainsley and Jake are so sweet and I LOVE it.

I know there are only a few books left, but I hope they go the way of Aurora and just keep adding movies. Robin Dunne is so talented in writing these, I want them to go on for years.

  14. Sabrina, Wow! Thank you for all of these wonderful reviews! I so enjoyed hearing your thoughts on each one.

Especially great to hear how much you enjoy the Ainsley McGregor series... I also agree that they are all good, but something felt especially great in this latest installment for me. Plus, I'm delighted to know there are plans to make more!!!!
