New York, NY – September 18, 2025 – Great American Media announced today Jill Wagner (A Christmas Miracle for Daisy, Bringing Christmas Home) and Trevor Donovan (A Little Women’s Christmas, Jingle Bell Princess) are set to star in Christmas by the Spoonful (wt), a new Original movie which premieres as part of the 5th anniversary of GREAT AMERICAN CHRISTMAS.
Great American Christmas returns to Great American Family and GFAM+ on October 10 and streams exclusively on Great American Pure Flix beginning October 16. Great American Christmas is the viewing destination for original holiday entertainment that celebrates Christmas as it is meant to be.

In Christmas by the Spoonful (wt), Beth Green (Wagner) a devoted cafe owner, returns to her hometown of Snow Ridge to help her parents host the town’s most cherished tradition, the annual Yuletide Potluck, a holiday potluck that welcome military families and veterans who might otherwise spend Christmas alone. At her parents’ cozy inn, Beth meets Jack Evans (Donovan), a civil engineer with the military, assigned to oversee projects at the local base over Christmas. After realizing they know each other from a blind date twenty years ago that did not go well, neither expects the spark that slowly ignites between them. Set amidst the magic of Christmas, Christmas by the Spoonful (wt) is a story of second chances, healing hearts, and the enduring power of traditions that bring people together.

I would not have pictured these two doing a movie together...But I love it!!! I was worried that Jill might not be doing a Christmas Movie this year, seeing how busy she has been so this is a pleasant surprise!
ReplyDeleteI'm not in love with this pairing, but had figured it had to be them a week or so ago. What's odd is the post has been taken down from GAF. Maybe they're going to just pub the full list today instead of next week. I also see a press release about a movie they bought with Katie Leclerc that most everyone knew about who does the searching lol--Cherry Pie Christmas but they keep changing the names to bad titles. This one is something like Wisconsin Pie Christmas now & Christmas by the Spoonful sounds corny. Sorry. I prefer A Potluck Christmas over Spoonful. That's just terrible.

While I don’t think they are the best pairing, I kind of see him as playing her younger brother Lol, I will definitely be tuning in! Love both of them as actors!

That's right... we haven't seen the full, official Christmas schedule from Great American Family, yet. Should be next week before or on the 26th. I'll be sure to share as soon as it is posted.

An absolutely great pairing in what looks to be a great movie! I have said this before, but I think Jill is the best Hallmark/GAF actress around. She never, ever seems to be acting - everything come across so natural. So looking forward to this one!

ReplyDeleteThis is more wonderful movie news from GAF! I am so happy to see Trevor Donovan and Jill Wagner paired together and back for Great American Christmas year 5! I am excited to see them in a Christmas movie that will highlight our veterans. I was guessing Merritt was going to be his co-star again since they have such great chemistry. Great American Family just keeps getting better and better and it will definitely be my go to network for Christmas movies. ReplyDeleteA great early, early Christmas surprise. Trevor and Jill are a favorite of mine. My hubby was in the Mid-East with the Corp of Engineers so he will enjoy watching Trevor as a top notch project manager and how they like to manage (😃). Jill’s character will have her hands full.
