Wonderful news, Hopefuls & Hearties, "When Hope Calls" will premiere April 3, 2025 (my birthday, yay!) on Great American Pure Flix and April 6th on Great American Family!

The announcement was made during a Great American Family Facebook Live Event tonight with Cameron Mathison, Bill Abbott, and Cindy Busby, who will star in this all new season this Spring.

Two previews were shown during the live event for "When Hope Calls," and a preview was also shown for the movie, "Grounded," starring Danica McKellar and Trevor Donovan, and season 2 of the series, "County Rescue," with Brett Varvel and Kristin Wollet.

Karen Kingsbury promoted the film, "Someone Like You," based on her book with the same title. The faith-filled movie will premiere on Great American Family on February 22nd.

Beth Stern had a furry little friend join her as she discussed the upcoming special, "Great American Rescue Bowl," on February 9th at 12p/11c.

Eric Close spoke to Cameron and Bill about his faith-based football movie, "Average Joe," which will premiere on Great American Pure Flix on January 23rd.

Near the very end of the Facebook Live, Candace Cameron Bure revealed a sneak peek of "The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Yarn Maker," and she shared that she and Cameron Mathison will have a sequel Christmas movie to their 2024 holiday film, "Home Sweet Christmas."

Watch the full Great American Family Facebook Live Event with Cameron Mathison and Bill Abbott hosting with these guests: Candace Cameron Bure, Beth Stern, Eric Close, Cindy Busby, Danica McKellar, Karen Kingsbury, and Brett Varvel.

Seeing how much faith and inspiration are both incorporated into many of the excellent family movies and TV series projects at Great American Family was terrific.

I hope you all enjoy watching!

  1. Wow! That was soooo great!! I watched the whole video. Thanks Net. And hey, that’s cool with the season finale premiering on your birthday. I know you had your WCTH and SSD themed cakes. You’ll have to do a WHC themed now. What perfect timing!😊

    1. Abigail, How sweet of you to remember my other birthday themes. Those were sooo fun! I would definitely love to do When Hope Calls, too. Someone else in my family had it for a birthday theme during the first season, but I think it would be fun to do it again. I've definitely been thinking about it. :)

  2. Aw, what a wonderful birthday present for you! :)

Home Sweet Christmas was very sweet, glad to see it's getting a sequel.

And YAY for premiere dates for When Hope Calls! (just wish we could've gotten some hints as to what kind of new talent they'll be bringing in this year). -Maria

  4. Hi Net! Oh my gosh! You and my dad share the same birthday! He was also born on April 3rd! How cool! And, he is conservative as well as possessing a very strong faith. He loves God with all of his heart. So, you all have several things in common. :-) Thanks for making me smile this morning. It has been a rough week. I lost an Aunt, who was also my Godmother, last week. I absolutely adored her and I am going to miss her terribly. She also was a believer. She helped out with bereavement lunches at her parish, of St. Michaels, in Fairfield KY. It is a lovely little rural church and the third oldest in the Archdiocese of Kentucky. She was also in the choir. We said goodbye to her on Monday. It was bitterly cold and it was supposed to snow the day before. I prayed to God for it to not snow, because the rural roads of Nelson County, KY can be treacherous. Plus, the cemetery is on a hill, with a small winding one lane road up to the gravesites. God heard my prayers! It did not snow and so all of family, which is huge by the way, since we are Catholic and our friends were able to celebrate her life!

    1. Joan,

Oh, honey... I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear aunt. My heart aches for you. Loosing an aunt who is so close is very hard. I, too, come from a large family, but we've always been close-knit. Again, I'm so sorry. I know just what you mean about the treacherous rural roads there in Kentucky; I'm so glad the snow held off for you all.

On a brighter note... you'll have to tell your dad a very special *Happy Birthday* from me on that day!!! That is so fun that we share our day together.

Blessings to you and your family! :)

Thank you so much for your kind words. Your words and blessings made me smile. :-) I am so happy to hear you come from a large family, like me and that you all are tight-knit. :-)

And, I will definitely send my dad a very special "Happy Birthday" from you. :-)

  6. I loved that scene of the Mountie and his quick and humble action to prevent her from slipping. I already had a good feeling about them being casted together but now, even more so. In Cindy’s interview she said that this will be the 5th time working with Christopher. It shows. Now if only they could hire Lori Loughlin….

    1. Abigail, I was thinking the same thing! Since Christopher and Cindy have worked together so many times, they are going to have an easy connection with one another. I think that will be great for the series.

And I think a lot of Hallmark fans like them, so that will help to draw them in. Plus, with When Calls the Heart ending the last weekend of March, the timing is perfect!

  9. I found this out and just had to share it with you all. I mentioned before that I watch Hallmark through Hoopla online library (for free!) I just found out that you can do the same with Great American Family an When Hope Calls!!! I posted a link down below. And type out Dove Channel or Hallmark in the search bar. I love this!

  10. Trevor Donovan has only 2 episodes on When Hope Calls: Season 2

  11. Hey Abigail - thanks for this Hoopla info. But it looks like someone can only watch Hallmark for 7 days. Is that correct? How do you watch it long term when it says "bingepass?" Or do you mean that you watch older Hallmark movies as they are on DVD and added to the system? Thank you! Amy in CA
