Happy Father's Day weekend to all of the fathers and grandfathers who visit here! May you get all the love and attention that you so richly deserve.
If any of you are watching the new or classic movies over the weekend, I hope you enjoy that. A special thank you to our friend and loyal reviewer Maria for providing TWO very helpful reviews of the new movies - see above. (Maria, I'm so grateful for you, and I know many here also appreciate you so much - as I certainly do!)
As for what I'm watching this weekend, I'll likely be recording the new movies and When Calls the Heart to watch later, as I'll be enjoying some special time with all of my family, especially my precious Daddy, who is a strong, hardworking farmer who works every day with his hands. One of the greatest Biblical lessons he has taught me in life is... "We reap, what we sow." I may be a little biased, but I think my Daddy is the bestest, and I love him dearly! He is genuine and kind, funny, friendly, and honest, as the day is long. Most importantly, he's a man who seeks God's heart. My family and I are blessed beyond words!
Of course, we are all blessed to have a heavenly Father who loves us and calls us His children. God wants each of us to have a personal relationship with Him. He is simply a prayer away.
I hope you all have a pleasant and peaceful Father's Day weekend!
God's blessings to you all!

Happy Father’s Day
ReplyDeleteI was looking at the Hallmark schedule page for the finale episode of WCTH and it mentions Elizabeth and her FiancΓ©. Then I realized I was looking at the info of a different movie(It Was Always You) underneath the WCTH info. Oops! Hahaha ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day to my Dad and all the fathers on this site and fathers to the family members here! I'm pretty sure I say it for all how much we are blessed to have you in our lives and we thank God for you!! Have a great enjoyable day!!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said, Net. Our Father in heaven is a prayer away.
ReplyDeleteOur sermon this morning was on the responsibility of fathers to model their behavior on Christ’s love for His children. Teaching them basic principles- spiritual and moral.
Happy Father’s Day
ReplyDeleteHi all,
ReplyDeleteWe did not enjoy "A Greek Recipe for Romance". I don't know...it did not draw me in. Lovely scenery but everything else was a 'Meh' for me. Greece, though, is someplace I have always wanted to visit. :-)
Thanks Joan, I will take your word for it! I would love to go to Greece one day too! And Italy!
DeleteHi Abigail,
DeleteYou are welcome. We really wanted to like the movie. Anyway, Italy is also on my bucket list. My cousin travelled to Greece for a family vacation last year. She told us getting there was not fun but once they arrived, she forgot all of the travel headaches. :-) My closest friend, who I have know for over twenty years, has been to Italy quite a few times. Her mother got remarried, years ago, and moved to Germany with her new husband. Whenever Claudia visited her mom in Germany, they would always go to Italy for a few days. And, I love the movie "Letters to Juliet" so much. :-)
Joan, I just saw that movie last winter and loved it! Now whenever l see it, I will think of you! And Germany looks so beautiful in photos! I get headaches when I travel as well.
DeleteIf I were to travel somewhere in Europe, I would want to go to the country (I can't do crowds, I get Claustrophobic) and sit at a cafΓ© with fresh bread with butter, fruit and a lattΓ©. I've been to London, but did not have a good experience. Food not good! We had pizza every night for 9 days because it was the only thing that tasted good to us. Get his... Just pepperoni and cheese they call it American Pizza.πSuch a busy city. The metros are so packed with people in a hurry, I got pushed off. On purpose! But still glad I went, got to see Big Ben, went inside the clock tower and walked around Westminster Abbey, saw the Victoria and Albert throne chairs, rode the London Eye ferris wheel, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, the Tower Bridge, ect. My feet hurt after so much walking. Haha! ...But I took a small flight to Edinburgh and the people there were so sweet and kind and you could hear bagpipes everywhere! I just LOVE that sound! Feels like home. I would have bought some kilts, they are much more adorable there, but already had my own. They are perfect for Christmas at church or as I grew up going to the Scottish Games. Sorry, I'm rambling. I do that whenever I talk Scotland. Now Corgis on the other hand.....just kidding , not going there, I'll be there forever!!πππ
Fiona is back in Hope Valley in WCTH Season 11 Episode 12
ReplyDeleteThe acting In A Greek recipe for love was terrible. The only thing that saved this movie was the scenery. I have read a comment that there are going to be three more movies filmed in Greece let’s hope they get better actors
ReplyDeleteOkay I was finally able to watch the Tipline Mystery movie. I love Chris McNally in everything he does, he was great, the girl was a little erratic in her mannerisms and speaking….i don’t know if that’s just her personality as an actor, but it was kind of distracting at times. I thought the storyline was good, but I found the killer a little predictable at the end. I thought it was going to be the handyman of her hotel, or maybe that couple who had just opened the jewelry store. The husband seemed a little suspicious…either way I thought it was cute & family friendly from what I remember. Wish there was a new mystery every month, they are my fave!
ReplyDelete~Paula
Paula, I appreciate you sharing this review with us! It's the only mystery I haven't watched, yet. And I'm with you... I just love the mysteries. Hallmark Mystery really hasn't released many this year. I, too, would love if they did more. There seems to be a lot they have filmed but haven't released, yet, so either we have many coming from August to October, or they are holding them back for next year.
DeleteHave a Blessed Weekend, Net
Hi all,
ReplyDeleteSadly we also did not enjoy "Match for a Prince" either. The lead actress was really good but nothing else drew us in.
Joan, That one was hard for us, too. I completely understand. I thought the lead girl and prince were not a good match; I just didn't feel a love connection in any way.
DeleteAnother great WCTH episode! The proposal scene was terrific! They make a sweet couple. And the suspense scene was great. Rosemary was perfect and Nathan and Elizabeth's stunt scene...just great!! And we found out Fiona is coming back for the last episode! YAY!!! This gives me hope for maybe Carson or Jesse and Clara. Or Abigail.
ReplyDeleteAbigail, I'm also excited to see Fiona come home to Hope Valley! I wonder if she is staying for Season 12???
DeleteI've also been hoping Carson would return and he and Faith could get back together. Paul Greene has even been sharing old throwback pictures of himself on WCTH in past weeks. I thought maybe that was a clue or something, but who knows. Maybe Fiona is the only "surprise" return???
Ooh really??? On an interview, Andrea was asked about her future in a new romance and she did clarify no on that. Maybe they are keeping the door open for Carson just in case. I just can't see her with anyone else.
DeleteI'm not superstitious but fingers cross!!!
