  5. I just heard the following regarding Ryan Paevey. He has recently said that "Sadly, no word of a (Hallmark) film...the last 8 months of life in this industry have left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth, and I need some time away from a world so full of fake friends and empty promises...I may take 2024 off from filming." It sounds as if Hallmark promised him some thing(s) and then changed their minds. Anybody have any specifics about this? His absence would be a shame. Some of the better Hallmark Christmas movies have had him in them.

    1. Mark 25, Those articles really surprised me, as well. I agree, it does seem like someone has really disappointed him lately in the film industry, just not sure who. I can imagine with all of this buzz going around that there must be many reaching out to him now, attempting to make amends.

Some of these entertainment sites, I think, are making more out of it though.

Ryan recently added these posts to his X social media:

      A fan first asked:
"Ryan, are you saying you do not want us to push for a movie with HM? So many on RP group are asking, almost demanding a movie. Will do whatever you want. ❤️"

      Ryan responded on April 9th:
"I mean, I’d like to think the powers that be know I’d happily do another film if they wanted me to. But I don’t know anymore…so I’m just gonna do life, and make plans, and work…and whatever happens happens."

Then, on April 12th he added these responses:

      Ryan Paevey:
"They must be hard up for news if they’re scavenging the tweets of a garage jeweler for something to talk about."

      Fan/Follower Statement:
I saw it on Facebook. Had to look at your replies here on X to see where these 'quotes' came from. Can't believe they'd be reading through a conversation just to get 'news'. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.😠

      Ryan Paevey:
Meh, tweets are public, so that’s on me i guess. I miss when i could think about something out loud without someone yelling about it. All i said was I ‘may’ take a step back for a bit, and here we are. Le sigh.

So, it sounds like he doesn't really want to step away from acting altogether, but he's just been hurt by so-called friends one too many times.

I sure hope he can get things worked out. Rarely is "Christmas at the Plaza" played without me tuning in. I just adore that one!

    2. Maybe, or maybe not. I haven't really cared for his recent movies, and from what I've heard about them, they looked really bland. Hopefully a break does him good. -Maria

    3. I agree, Net, Christmas at the Plaza is one of my very favorites! I am also a big fan of A Timeless Christmas. But Maria, I'm with you on last year's Under the Christmas Sky - that one didn't impress me either.
