The movie I most want to see is "The Engagement Plot," starring Trevor Donovan and Rachel Boston. I was hoping to pre-screen it this week, but time just got away from me. I must admit, I did fast-forward through my screener a bit and it looks soooo good! I can't wait to fully watch it on UPtv!
I'm also looking forward to the cable premiere of "Identical Love" on Great American Family, plus Lacey Chabert's new movie on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and another all new movie starring Rachel Boston on the Hallmark Channel! Hope these all end up being good!

Dating the Delaneys looks like a great and new story, Paul Campbell is one of my favorite leads. I really wished the Engagement Plot had another lead except Trevor Donavon I really dont like watching him

Erin and Ben Napier are trying their hand at acting this holiday season!
The Home Town hosts will appear in one of HGTV's first-ever scripted Christmas movies, "A Christmas Open House."
Premiering exclusively on Discovery+ this November, the film will feature the HGTV stars portraying a couple named Henry and Sarah Wright. Similar to their real-life counterparts, the characters value the tradition of small town living and specialize in local home restoration, according to a press release from Discovery.
The Napiers will star alongside lead actors Katie Stevens and Victor Rasuk. Stevens plays Melissa Norwood, "an ambitious Atlanta property stager who teams with her old high school crush, David Phelps (Rasuk), to sell her newly married mom's home in their small Georgia home town," the release states. "The two join up to renovate the place before a couple of wealthy potential buyers are due to see the house on Christmas Eve."
The description also breaks down the Napier's roles: "Henry is a master woodworker and custom furniture builder, and Sarah is an artist with an expertise in color and transformative design choices."
Erin, 36, posted the news on her Instagram account Tuesday morning, along with the caption, "So, we are in a movie! Coming November 11 to @discoveryplus — "A Christmas Open House" (link in profile to read more about it, and get to know Sarah and Henry Wright)."
Her caption was accompanied by a photo of her and Ben, 38, dressed up as their characters in front of a festive backdrop.
Along with "A Christmas Open House," HGTV will be premiering a second movie called "Designing Christmas," which introduces Love It or List It star Hillary Farr as a supporting character.
Food Network, another Discovery-owned channel, will also be premiering two new movies called, "One Delicious Christmas" and "A Gingerbread Christmas," which include cameos from Bobby Flay and Duff Goldman. The network premiered its first scripted holiday movie, Candy Coated Christmas starring Ree Drummond, last year.
I read about those new Christmas movie projects, too. It's too bad all four films will air exclusively on the streaming service Discovery+ and not on HGTV or the Food Network.

Watched The Engagement Plot and really liked the involvement of faith. Wasn’t crazy about scheme about engagement but glad true feelings overcame. Really exposed the lack of reality in reality shows and there manipulation. Makes me feel even better I’ve never watched one.

Identical Love was better than I expected. Beautifully shot and pretty well acted. I actually liked the connection between the widow and ophthalmologist maybe a little bit more than the doctor and dentist, but appreciated how they handled the difficulty of dating your ex-fiance's twin brother.

Groundswell is not family friendly. It’s based on the book Katie Lee Biegel. Emma’s Boyfriend named Garrett Weston took credits of Emma’s entry in cooking at his Restaurant. There’s food critic named Sheridan & others. Emma ahead to Hawaii to be with her Aunt June. June hands her drink: hibiscus iced teas. June introduces Ben & Franky to her Niece; Emma. Not Surprised about Groundswell or Lacey. This movie looked boring from the commercial, so not lost! Watched Identical Love and really enjoyed a fresh new storyline.

When she meets Henry owns Ariana Sallow Medical Foundation? There’s only 3 doctors including Charlotte, Dr. Maya Solis OD, eye doctor, & Dr. Seth Adkins, Dentist. Charlotte sees Elijah there but Henry says Dr. Seth Adkins, a Dentist. Charlotte & Seth knew each other. Seth tells Maya that Charlotte was Seth’s Twin Brother’s former fiancée. Seth & Charlotte have horseback riding & take some pictures while their horses on the break. Charlotte takes a second chance of love for Seth. Henry Sallow is widowed when Maya talks with Henry. Seth tells Henry that Matters of the Heart. Seth & Charlotte try to get along because Charlotte thought about Seth’s Twin Brother; Elijah. Could Charlotte love Elijah’s Twin Brother; Seth, who he is? A question for you Net or anyone who can answer this. Is Rachel a Mennonite woman in The Engagement Plot? Her dress was different from an ordinary woman, and yet it didn't appear Amish. Just curious!
ReplyDeletekitkat, That is an interesting question. I don't think she is a Mennonite woman based on what she wore. The dress code for Mennonite women is usually a high neckline and a head covering, and a couple times, Hanna (Rachel Boston) wore off-the shoulder dresses. Also, they don't typically wear any jewelry, and we often saw Hanna proudly wearing her cross necklace.
DeleteNear the end of the movie, we see Father Randy (a Catholic Priest) come in Hanna's father's store. I wasn't certain, but I thought that might be an indication that they are Catholic, but nothing, to my knowledge, was stated.
