Yay! I was hoping Curveball would be made! Too cute that Danica and Paul are doing another movie together! :)
ReplyDeleteMisty
Me, too, Misty! I'm hoping it's still a Christmas story!
DeleteAccording to Hallmark Channel's website, "Valentine's Again" is scheduled to premiere on February 12th at 9:00 and "While You Were Dating" will premiere on February 13th at 8:00.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it looks like the site has the weekend Valentine's Day movies premiering at 9 and the weekday Valentine's Day movies premiering, so far, at 8. However, A Dash of Love is listed still on Hallmark's site, as premiering at 4pm on Feb. 14, so, I'm still waiting to hear from Hallmark, to be sure.
DeleteThank you for commenting!!! :)
On Hallmark Channel's website, "Dash of Love" (the title did change a little bit) will now be released on February 14th at 4:00 and "Walking the Dog" will premiere on February 12th at 1:00.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it seems to be written A Dash of Love and other times just Dash of Love. I suppose- either when the poster is released or we receive a press release, we will know for sure. As for the premiere time - I still think that 4pm doesn't sound quite right - so I posted it above with a question mark. As for "Walking the Dog"... looks like it's premiering February 4th now! I just posted it here with pics!
DeleteThanks so much for sharing!!!
Net, thank you so much for compiling all the movie information, so much appreciated. The news about Chesapeake Shores sounds very hopeful. I really hope Hallmark will renew CS. I really loved watching it last year. It looks like it's going to be a great year of Hallmark movies!
ReplyDeleteOh, you're welcome, Jill! You inspired me to do it! I wanted to join everyone together to talk about movies and I hope this will work out this year!
DeleteAs for Chesapeake Shores... I'm sure it's quite a challenge to bring such a large cast back together - so hopefully, if it's happening, it will work out for everyone involved in season 1! I'm still hoping! Perhaps, the upcoming Hallmark TCA event will reveal this news!

ReplyDeleteJen Lilley as Nikki & Brendan as Paul
According to IMDB as they labelled as A Pinch of Love
Thanks so much! I've added all the cast names below the Countdown to Valentine's movies above! So sorry - I overlooked doing that before! :)
DeleteNet -- I named the casts in the Valentine movies in a few different posts on this site, at different times, even before they were announced anywhere or put on the Hallmark site. I didn't have the character names, but I did give all of names of the main actors in each movie.
DeleteYes, you did! Thank you for the reminder. Those comments with the cast members names can be found under the New Movies on TV post.
DeleteThank you, Sherry for sharing!
No, Net. That's not the only place I posted the Valentine movie info. :) I posted it before that, under another thread or a couple of different threads. In fact, I mentioned some of the Valentine titles and info along with Winterfest movie info (before Winterfest was officially announced). Under some post or another, I posted the full rundown of movies and even mentioned my early suspicion about Sam Page being in Walking the Dog (which was confirmed much later).
DeleteSee, this is why I hesitate to share any tidbits of news now -- if I send it to your email, you're already overwhelmed with other emails. If I post the info here, it gets overlooked or unnoticed until I have posted about it several times.
Hopefully having this 2017 upcoming movie post will help keep all the new tidbits together! Certainly, I receive lots of reports and rumors flooding in on a daily basis from all sorts of sources.
DeleteOften, information is repeated along the way, but I'm always grateful for everyone who takes the time out of their busy day and schedules to share.
Watching Hallmark movies is a simple joy, often at the end of our day, and looking forward to upcoming movies is, like Christmas, half the fun!
Of course, it's wonderful that people take time out of their busy days to share tidbits. But... as you know -- because, in the past, people have taken things that you took time to assemble and put together for this site and then posted them elsewhere (like schedules and what not), without crediting you or linking to your site -- it's not cool when someone sees work that someone else took time to locate, assemble and round up and passes it off as their own, or without crediting who found it.
DeleteYou know all too well that I am very detailed and am on top of a LOT of what is happening -- I told you about some things last year, such as the Wedding March sequel and The Art of Us (I can resend the emails where I mentioned them) -- and those tidbits never made to this site. That's why I posted them in this thread.... there is an interest in what's coming to Hallmark, and people like to know the little bits of info.
I could start my own site, but I like this one and like what you do here, Net -- and the overall uplifting vibe -- so I wanted to help out here.
There are some exceptions, of course, but the average person is probably not putting in the same kind of time and effort to find info, and is essentially seeing info posted by people who dug it up, and then passing it on to you. So the original person or people who took the time to actually sleuth and find/post the info get lost in the shuffle.
I appreciate the reminders, Sherry, and I always do my best to give you credit for the information you bring to this site. Sometimes we even see some movie information at the same time, on social media, Hallmark's web-site, etc...
DeleteThanks, again, for the reminder - I added "The Wedding March" sequel and "The Art of Us" above, and some other potential upcoming projects.
Net, looks like Hallmark's providing a buffer to help us limp through the brutal winter months with great sounding movies. I've got my popcorn, good "n" plenty's and milk duds ready to go! LOL! I'm missing SSD; can't wait for 2/26/17!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you, Linda! I love how the Winterfest movies ease us out of Christmas so gently.
DeleteI'm so excited, too, for the next delivery of Signed, Sealed, Delivered!!! Popcorn & a good movie are the best combination... Love it!!!
http://www.hallmarkchannel.com/valentines-again/cast
ReplyDeleteThere's no cast announcement & also A Dash of Love
Hallmark has the main cast listed now... I shared both above! ^
DeleteHallmark Channel Movies: Countdown to Valentine's Day - Stay tune
ReplyDeleteWalking the Dog (February 4, 2017) @ 9:00pm
Valentine's Again (February 12, 2017) @ 9:00pm
While You Were Dating (February 13, 2017) @ 8:00pm
A Dash of Love (February 14, 2017) @ 4:00pm
Love At First Glance (February 14, 2017) 8:00pm
Yes, those are the times being reported currently on the Hallmark Channel web-site. I'm still wondering if some may still change, especially "A Dash of Love!" Until then, I went ahead and shared those times above!
DeleteI hope they change time @ 9:00pm for "A Dash of Love", on February 11, 2017. If there another movie available for February 5, 2017
DeleteNot exactly sure when "A Dash of Love" will premiere on the Hallmark Channel. It would be unlikely for Hallmark to premiere a movie mid-day, so I'm waiting to see if this will change.
DeleteI just visited Hallmark Channel's website and it looks like "Walking the Dog" will now be released on February 4th at 9:00. They also created an offical page for the movie.
ReplyDeleteI saw that, too! Looks like a fun one with especially cute dogs! I just posted it, here!
DeleteThanks so much for taking the time to share! :)
(Post 1 of 2)
ReplyDeleteIt seems like a some comments and bits of info are getting lost in the shuffle under the different posts on this site -- or overlooked -- and Net is overwhelmed with receiving email info. So I hesitate to share too much more info, as I suspect it might be for naught. I usually have good tidbits to reveal (I send a lot of the cast members' names to What's Filming too), which should be interesting for anyone who loves Hallmark movies -- but it does take time to compile and then type up. I will try again...
1. Nicky Whelan and Greg Vaughan are the leads in "Valentine's Again," with Marina Sirtis as a supporting actor. This is the movie that was filmed in Bulgaria. I have mentioned them in at least one or two posts here on this site, but I don't remember which posts they were or where to find them.
2. "Campfire Kiss" is, as I suspected, a Spring Fling movie. January is the beginning of when the Spring Fling movies are filmed (though some might be filmed in February or March too).
Lori M. watched one of Danica McKellar's videos, and pointed out that in it Danica says that the movie will air either at the end of March or in early April. She refers to it as a "spring camping movie" that is supposed to be set in Colorado, too.
Ioana discovered (last week) that Dylan Kingwell is in "Campfire Kiss" as well, and he is shown in the photo above, with Ali, Paul and Danica. Ioana also discovered Kendall Cross, whose name I sent to What's Filming last week.
3. I'm pretty sure "Curveball" is now a Spring Fling movie based on the timing of the filming, and is no longer a Christmas movie, but we'll soon find out for sure. I don't get the impression that Jason Cermak is the leading man, though. I've thought for weeks that he would be a supporting character. I am not 100% sure about that, though. BUT... one other actor who I believe might be in "Curveball" is Carlo Marks (Ioana discovered him too), from "Chesapeake Shores." I don't know if he would be the leading man either, but I think he is at least in the movie in some capacity.
4. "Police Mom" is supposedly a Lifetime movie. (I sent the cast info, minus Aaron Pearl, to What's Filming after I found an article that mentioned it is a Lifetime film.)
Next post with more info coming up right after this one...
Did someone mentioned Campfire Kiss filmed in Bulgaria but it's actually Valentine's Again; wasn't it?
DeleteI'm not sure if someone else got this wrong, but Sherry mentions Valentine's Again was filmed in Bulgaria above.
DeleteI don't know of anyone who said Campfire Kiss was filmed in Bulgaria. CK is filming now, in Vancouver.
DeleteNet is correct. Valentine's Again was filmed in Bulgaria -- hence, the reason I did not know of its existence while it was filming, and I only found out about it just after it had wrapped up! I would never have thought to check on filming activity in Bulgaria -- especially not with a leading lady who has never been in a Hallmark movie before. I would have never thought to check her social media either!
Romanian film shoots for Hallmark are not unheard of, but Bulgarian film shoots are a different story!
(Post 2 of 2)
ReplyDeleteAs for other upcoming Hallmark projects, there are several other things that were "announced" and/or teased by fairly reliable sources in 2016, which may or may not end up happening in 2017 (none of these are set to film right now, so anything could happen to delay them). Here is just a sampling:
1) The sequel to "The Wedding March." Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett announced this, along with Bill Abbott, at the Summer TCA Hallmark party back in July. Jack said it would air in 2017;
2) "The Art of Us." This is another story by Teri Wilson (the author of "Sleigh Bell Sweethearts"), involving painting and dog walking. She announced last year that Hallmark was developing it into a movie.
There are a couple of movies coming up this year with "dog themes," so it is possible that one of them could be a reworked version of Teri's story, with a different title;
3) "Wild At Heart" is a movie that was announced one year ago, and it is supposed to star Kristin Davis. It is due to be filmed in Africa, and the story is about fighting poachers. Lisa C. found an article quite a while back that indicated location scouting was happening soon;
4) A possible collaboration between sisters Ashley Williams and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. In 2016 Ashley hinted (here to Net, and also on another site) that she and her sister were working on something for Hallmark, but she gave no details; AND...
5) A collaboration between Hallmark favorites Rachel Boston, Daniel Lissing and writer Nina Weinman, who has written several Hallmark movies!!!! Nina shared some photos of herself with Rachel and Daniel a month or two ago, I think it was. They were brainstorming. Nina later hinted to Ruth Hill that she was working on something -- hopefully to premiere on the Hallmark Channel in the summer -- with 2 "super fun" Hallmark stars who have never worked together before. So I am thinking that the 2 super fun Hallmark stars are Rachel and Daniel! Nina also told Ruth that she is working on a new Hallmark Christmas movie, and a new Hallmark wedding movie.
There are a lot of other potential things coming up this year, but some of them are too iffy and too uncertain to list at this point, as they may not happen anytime soon. The ones I listed above are more likely than others to actually go forward with production in 2017. Anytime something is "in development," it means it could end up filming in 2 months or in 3 years!
Yes, I have heard of those projects, too. As you said, most were announced at previous TCA events. Some may come this year, while others may take longer in the production process.
DeleteWe can guess that surely "The Wedding March" Part 2 with Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett will air during June Weddings on the Hallmark Channel, but who knows? Hopefully so!
I recall when there was enormous buzz around Jon Voight attending the TCA Winter 2015 Event and they announced, at that time, "JL Ranch." They even said it might be a back door pilot to a series. Originally, it was planned to premiere that Summer, in 2015, but as we all know, JL Family Ranch didn't premiere until August, of 2016. So... some productions take longer to make than initially anticipated. It just depends. And, I've also heard buzz about more in the "JL Family Ranch" series to come!
It may take some time (as you said) to see if these all come into fruition.
Based on what you have written about "Wild at Heart", Sherry, this movie could end up being a Hallmark Hall of Fame production. I can't imagine the main Hallmark Channel creating a movie with such a serious topic . Hallmark Movies & Mysteries might bring up the subject of poaching, but might not discuss the topic in depth or the movie's overall message may not come across as serious.
DeleteNet -- Both "The Art of Us" and the Wedding March sequel were things I mentioned to you last year, via email.
DeleteAt the time Jack Wagner announced the WM sequel, he didn't say when it would air. I assumed that it would be a part of June Weddings, but it could also be a sequel with a different theme (much like the rumor of a "Christmas Villa" sequel for "Summer Villa").
My guess is June Weddings, though. But who knows? It may not even happen this year.
Anonymous -- When "Wild At Heart" was first announced one year ago, my first thought was that it sounded like a Hall of Fame movie too, although it was not labeled as such. It was suggested that the movie would come out in 2016. Of course, it never did.
At the very least, it will air on HMM, as you said - certainly not on the main Hallmark Channel. I don't know when filming it set to commence -- only that it appeared that locations were going to be scouted at the end of last year or start of this year.
As I've shared, I often like to post news when Hallmark officially announces. I have been in contact with them regarding certain films and timing on promotion. There are some exceptions, of course, when actors officially announce filming on their social media sites, etc...
DeleteIt's a Crime - 2017
ReplyDelete(Starring Bruce Boxleitner)
I didn't know Bruce was doing a movie for the Hallmark Mystery Channel! I used to LOVE Scarecrow and Mrs. King so much!
Misty
I'd like to see Candace Cameron Bure & Lori Loughin in the future movies together on Hallmark Channel
ReplyDeleteI think it would be fun if they did a movie crossover event together. A two-hour aurora t. movie and a 2 hour garage sale mystery movie. Jennifer and Aurora can work together to investigate.
DeleteThat would be great, Anonymous and Jill! I love that idea! It would be fun to see Lori and Candace working together on Hallmark.
DeleteMaybe Aurora Teagarden could go shopping at Jennifer Shannon's shop Rags, and then some mystery unfolds! That would be fantastic, but I wonder if it is doable with contracts, writers, etc... and all of that. Possibly not, but I still love the idea!!! :)
Exciting news about Daniel Lissing.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch When Calls The Heart so didn't know much about him but thought he was simply awesome in A December Bride. You would have sworn that the emotion on his face at the end of the movie was real if you hadn't known better.
I wouldn't say he was good looking but he is very attractive. The chemistry between him and Jessica Lowndes was sizzling and I just wonder if he'll be able to re-produce that with someone else.
Nicely done, Net. I miss all the Christmas movies on TV so much, but I'm looking forward to lots of these new movies coming this year thanks to you!
ReplyDeleteI heard Hallmark was thinking of developing a movie based on the book Last Chance Llama Ranch
ReplyDeleteA retired Texas Ranger named Jake Bonner (Bruce Boxleitner) will unsolved the cases to investigation on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries this Summer; It's a Crime so, what if they will change the title: A Texas Ranger Mystery: It's a Crime
ReplyDeletehttp://m.axs.com/coming-soon-what-s-new-at-hallmark-movies-and-mysteries-in-2016-75547
There's another Texas Ranger is a female criminal profiler named Sarah Armstrong - Sarah Armstrong Mysteries
Love at First Bark starts filming today; January 12, 2017 starring Actress & Country Music singer named Jana Kramer in Canada
ReplyDeleteYes! I saw that + Jana Kramer shared an on-the-set pic on Instagram with her handsome co-star! I posted the details and the picture above! Thank you making sure we all heard this news!
DeleteLove at First Bark will air on Hallmark Channel. I saw Jana Kramer with her filming buddy named King the dog on her Instagram
DeleteCan't wait till Love at First Bark airs, Jana is a great singer but also actress, know the movie will be a good one ,can't go wrong with Hallmark and Jana.
DeleteWasn't Jana just recently on "Dancing With the Stars" or am I thinking of someone else?
DeleteAnonymous #2 - Thank you for making sure I heard this news. I saw it earlier this morning & posted the info & pic above!
DeleteI saw video of Jana Kramer with her male co star on her Instagram
DeleteLove at First Bark starring Jana Kramer & Paul Campbell start their first day of filming for Hallmark Channel Movies
DeleteThank you for sharing... loved Paul Campbell since "Window Wonderland." Incidentally, he worked really well with the dog in "Surprised by Love," so this should be perfect for him! :)
DeleteYay!! So happy to hear Paul Campbell is going to be in another Hallmark movie! He wasn't in anything at all in 2016. I was beginning to wonder if we'd ever get to see him again.
DeleteSherry, yes Jana was in the most recent season of DWTS.
DeleteMichelle Morgan is also in "While You Were Dating." In fact, when I first mentioned "Second Time Around" (the original title) on this site, Michelle Morgan was the actress I listed with Billy Baldwin, because director David Winning had mentioned her name. It was only later that I saw Stefanie von Pfetten in behind the scenes photos and realized she was in the movie too.
ReplyDeletePeri Gilpin is in "A Dash of Love."
"Walking the Dog" also stars Lini Evans, Peter Benson and Hilary Jardine. Lini and Peter were among the first cast members I discovered, and then Jennifer Finnigan I found next, and then Sam Page, and much later, Ioana found Hilary.
I currently have listed above the cast members Hallmark is reporting on their web-site.. I decided I will add more fully to each movie cast when I do separate postings for each film and as Hallmark releases more information.
DeleteYou did do a separate posting/blog for "Walking the Dog." I haven't seen Hallmark mention on their website that Kimberly Sustad is in it, but you have her listed as being in the movie.
DeleteSo I wanted to make sure that you saw my previous posts (from quite a while back) mentioning Lini Evans and Peter Benson being in the movie as well. And, as I mentioned yesterday, Ioana found Hilary Jardine's involvement.
I'm just mentioning these other cast members (as I have done before) because people might want to know who is in the movies aside from who Hallmark lists up front. (You can't always rely on IMDB for a complete list early on either.)
We can't know when you plan to post the full array of cast members for any blog about a movie, but if you are encouraging us to post here with tips and info that we find, a lot of that is going to include the names of cast members -- and it may be a few months before the movie actually comes out and there are promo photos, press packets, etc.
I just now noticed Kimberly Sustad in a photo on the Hallmark site (for some reason I did not see that specific picture before) -- I guess that's where you saw that she was in the movie. I had been wondering about her name being listed in your blog because Hallmark hadn't named her as part of the cast yet, and she hadn't popped up in any photos from the movie as it was being filmed! Lol
DeleteI'm glad to see Kimberly in more Hallmark movies, but I like her as a lead (I think she is very charming, down to earth and likable) and she seems to be gravitating towards the supporting roles now. "Nine Lives of Christmas" is one of the best movies Hallmark has made in the last few years, and she is a big part of the reason why it was so good!
Yes, Kimberly Sustad (love her in "Nine Lives of Christmas!") is featured in the promotional photos for "Walking the Dog." You may have overlooked it, but I also shared one of those images on my post for the movie: http://itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com/2017/01/walking-dog-countdown-to-valentines-day.html. Hopefully, she'll have another leading role one day!
DeleteHi Net -- I just saw on Alicia's Witt site that there is to be an announcement this Saturday (Jan. 14)about a new Hallmark movie she is to be starring in.
ReplyDeleteThat is a fun discovery, Mark! I'm so glad you shared that!
DeleteI'm sure we will all look forward to hearing what new movie Alicia Witt is doing for Hallmark! The timing could very well be a June Wedding movie, which would be interesting since Alicia hasn't done a non-Holiday Hallmark movie since 2010 - and that was Backyard Wedding! Or, it could be anything else, too! There are certainly lots of seasons & holidays, so... anything is possible!
Thank you so much for sharing, Mark! :)
Thank you for reporting this great news, Mark!
DeleteI follow Alicia closely on social media -- pretty much every day I check in on what's happening with her, because I think she is fun, quirky, charming, and talented.
But yesterday and today I have been involved in a plumbing disaster and, of course, missed this bit of news! (It's always the one or two days you don't check on something that the best news comes out! Lol)
I'm so excited that she is still hanging in there with Hallmark, given the fact that she does a lot of darker, non-family friendly projects throughout the year, and I wondered if she would ever get tired of doing her yearly Hallmark movie.
Alicia has been in Nashville -- she is working on a passion project (a CD/album) that might take the better part of a year to record and put together. It means a lot to her. It looks like she planned to be in Nashville until at least September while working on it.
When Alicia films her Christmas movies for Hallmark, she usually seems to film anytime in the summer (from June to September, it seems). So I was beginning to wonder if she might not be available to film anything for Hallmark this year, as she would be tied up with her album.
Just the other day, Alicia attended an event (she is on the committee, I think) she attends every year, called the Art of Elysium "Heaven" party. I noticed that in one of her posts on social media, she thanked her "Hallmark family" for being a big part of the event. I had never seen her mention Hallmark in relation to any previous Elysium/Heaven events, however. I figured that they bought a table or something of that sort, and that would have cost a pretty penny.
The Hallmark Channel Winter TCA event is tomorrow (Saturday the 14th), so that must be when her new Hallmark movie will be announced. It *might* possibly be another Christmas movie -- just announced very early in the year. She has hinted in the past that she might do a sequel to one of her movies -- though I suspect the one that she would do is probably a follow-up to "I'm Not Ready for Christmas."
Alicia and Rachel Boston have also seemingly become great friends since the last TCA event in July. It would be fun to see them in a movie together, though I suspect that Rachel will be very busy with her other 2 projects for Hallmark this year.
A Dash of Love could be Hallmark Channel

Yes, "A Dash of Love" is one of Hallmark's 2017 Countdown to Valentine's Movies!
DeleteI liked Jana Kramer in heart of the country
ReplyDeleteYes, Jana was great in that movie with Gerald McRaney!
DeleteI wonder if ION or Lifetime will pick up Marvista's It Happened One Valentine's Day. I know for the past two years ION has been picking up a Valentine's Day movie to show

Net, thanks so much for all your work here, and thanks to Sherri too. This page has so much info I'm always excited to hop on and see what's going on in the land of Hallmark! Would anyone know if Hallmark channel is reachable? I've looked on their websites and don't see any place like a "contact us" link, unless I am missing it, which I could be. I know they don't solicit ideas from outside the Hallmark realm (but maybe they do?) I hope they do because I'd just like to drop and email about some ideas not only for storylines but I think they may need to shake up the plots a bit. Just seems to me all the leading ladies are hard core business women (which I am not), and I think they can soften the leads with females who are strong but are not business executives. I like to see a little bit more of a struggle and more working class. Some of my favorites have female leads like that as in The Christmas Secret, Crown for Christmas and one with Kristy Swanson who works in a diner. Just a thought. Anyway, GREAT SITE and many, many thanks for all your hard work keeping us up to date!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you so much Barbara! I am so truly grateful you appreciate what I do! I'm always actively doing behind-the-scenes stuff to keep everything updated and relevant.
DeleteAs for contacting Hallmark, if you Google "contact Hallmark Channel" - you will receive a customer service number. It's probably best I don't type it here, in case it were to change. Anyway, it came right up for me, and I'm sure they would be able to answer your questions or let you know the best way to contact those at Hallmark with your concerns, questions, and suggestions!
Also - perhaps, if you contacted Hallmark through their Facebook page, not only they, but potential screen writers might possibly see your comment, as well. Just a thought!
By the way... I, too, have enjoyed the movies you suggested! Thanks so much for all the kind words you said on my site. It means so much to me, Barbara! I'm so glad you enjoy your visits here! Please let me know how this goes for you with contacting Hallmark! Have a Wonderful Weekend!
