On the Hallmark Channel, following "Winterfest" in January and "Countdown to Valentine's Day" in February... the Calendar will eventually blossom come April into an All NEW themed event on the Hallmark Channel titled... "Spring Fling"!
Recently we learned the First Movie in the Hallmark Channel's "Spring Fling" Event will be "Hearts of Spring" (previously titled: Mommy Bloggers).
This all New original Hallmark Movie will star Lisa Whelchel (Facts of Life, For Better or For Worse), Michael Shanks (The Christmas Lodge, The Bouquet), Carrie Genzel (A Dog Named Christmas), Miranda Frigon (A Cookie Cutter Christmas, A Bone to Pick: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery), Ross Linton, and Lisa Whelchel's real life daughter Clancy Cauble will portray Lisa's grown up daughter in the movie! This is Clancy's movie debut!
Here are some behind-the-scenes and on-the-set pics of the first "Spring Fling" movie premiere...

Another FUN FACT:
Most of you will recall Lisa Whelchel as Blair Warner from the TV sitcom "Facts of Life"...
Well, some cast members of the TV series "Facts of Life" - Charlotte Rae (Mrs. Garret), Lisa Whelchel (Blair Warner), Kim Fields (Tootie), Geri Jewell (Geri, Blair's cousin), and Todd Bridges (Willis) gathered on Hallmark Channel's Home & Family this week for a sweet reunion!

My Thoughts on "The Facts of Life":
Oh my goodness... I remember growing up watching the Facts of Life faithfully every week. We only had one TV, back in those days, and we all watched together. The Facts of Life was such a fun show in the 80's for girls and families. Blair, I must say, was always our favorite. I think I first learned what a cashmere sweater was, because of Blair Warner, and more about the "facts of life", I'm sure! Looking back now, it is such a sweet memory - watching Blair and Jo become friends in spite of their different backgrounds and laughing so hard at all of Natalie and Tootie's fun escapades and antics... knowing someone was going to be... "in truuuu-ble"! The Facts of Life was always an amusing weekly half-hour of my blissful childhood that I treasure!

And.... CUT! That's a Wrap! Ross Linton and Clancy Cauble between takes on the set of "Hearts of Spring" If you look close, you will see the clapper says the previous movie title: Mommy Bloggers. I personally prefer the new movie title! What do you think? |
"Hearts of Spring" storyline:
via Hallmark: "A famous mommy blogger faces an empty nest as her daughter prepares to go away to college."

I thought that the "Spring Fling" thing was supposed to take place on 4 weekends in April (4 new movies)?
ReplyDeleteAwww....this looks like it's going to be a great movie to watch. I love all the pictures especially the mother/daughter ones and didn't Lisa grow up to be such a fine young lady?
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this. Love Lisa and glad to see her in another movie. Would love to see Nancy Mckeon n another movie for Hallmark.
ReplyDeleteLoved 'The Facts of Life' growing up!
ReplyDeleteMisty
Love Michael Shanks and Lisa Whelchel. Really looking forward to seeing this movie.
ReplyDeleteCould you please tell me the name of the song being played at the end of the movie?
ReplyDeleteWould really like to know the artist and the name of the song at the end of the movie.
ReplyDeleteAll I Need is You - Miranda Frigon
DeleteI really liked the movie. I'm interested in the song in the middle of the movie "I'll be your hiding place". Can't seem to find the version that was used in this movie as I like the melody and the artist.
ReplyDeleteThat lovely voice you are hearing is actress/singer Miranda Frigon, who sang two songs in the movie, "Hearts of Spring"! The songs are titled "Hiding Place" and "All I Need is You"!
DeleteMiranda also starred in this movie... She's the one pictured above in the very first picture in the cheerful peach cardigan sweater. You may also recognize her from the drama series Heartland or the Aurora Teagarden mystery movies.
The songs featured in the movie "Hearts of Spring" will be available next month (May, 2016) on Miranda Frigon's new album! :)
Net -- I've actually been wondering why Miranda hasn't starred in a Hallmark movie (yet -- unless something is in the works).
DeleteIn addition to "Hearts of Spring" and the "Aurora Teagarden" movies, Miranda also played supporting roles in "October Kiss" and "A Cookie Cutter Christmas" for Hallmark (she was the one who didn't get the man because the man wanted someone else!).
So, Hallmark fans certainly know her face even if they don't always know her name. Miranda is pretty, she seems to be a capable actress and she sings (as you pointed out). I wonder if Hallmark has asked her to play a lead role/romantic interest in a movie and she has turned it down, of they just haven't asked her.
Thanks for the info... I will be looking for Miranda's music... the movies are all similar, but I did take note of the pretty songs in this one!
DeleteWhat is the name of Carrie Genzel’s character’s son? Unfortunately, IMDB has not posted a completed cast list for this movie and when I looked on Hallmark Channel’s website, this movie didn’t have any show times listed.
ReplyDeleteThere was a song playing during the scene when both Lisa and Michael's characters went to the taco truck for dinner and Michael dribbled his taco. What is the name of that song and the performer, please?
ReplyDeleteFalling by Alexandria Maillot
DeleteWhat is the name of the song played during the taco dinner scene where Lisa and Michael's characters see one another for the first time while eating tacos on the park benches?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adored this Movie with shades of one of my all time favourites "You've got Mail" such a sweet feel good Film.
