Exciting news today from Great American Media... the next installment in the "Ainsley McGregor Mysteries" series, starring Candace Cameron Bure, is officially streaming in May on Pure Flix!

A premiere date on Great American Family has not been given, yet. You may recall, the first movie in this series, "The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker," initially premiered through Pure Flix streaming on July 25, 2024. Carlos PenaVega to Star in NEW TV Series from Angel Studios

Exciting update! Around this time last year it was revealed that Angel Studios, an independent media company and film distribution studio who often creates Christian content, would be developing a new TV series based on the beloved faith-based film, A Week Away, featuring Bailee Madison (Northpole, Date with Love) and Kevin Quinn (A Christmas Love Story).

Well, it was announced just yesterday on Deadline that Carlos PenaVega will take on the role of "Jeremy, a charismatic youth pastor who becomes a trusted mentor to the campers on their journey."

According to the article, "A Week Away: The Series follows a group of kids as they embark on a summer at Camp Aweegaway — a Christian camp filled with adventure, friendships, and unexpected self-discovery."

Also starring in the new series alongside Carlos PenaVega are: Antonio Cipriano, Cozi Zuehlsdorff, David Koechner, Leigh-Allyn Baker, Sacha Carlson, Ava Jean, Haven Greene, and Jason Marsden.

Alan Powell (from Christmas in the Smokies and the Christian rock group Anthem Lights) was one of the co-writers of the original film and is also a showrunner for the new series, along with Kali Bailey and Cozi Zuehlsdorff.

I believe this series sounds fantastic! I'm eager to discover where we can watch it. Hopefully, it will be accessible to many of us viewers.

I decided to wait a little longer before sharing this weekend's update, hoping that Hallmark would unveil a poster for the premiere of the new "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movie. As I submit this, however, the network has not released any promotional videos, photos, or poster (key art) for this new premiere. The image above is from Good TV; I made a slight edit to include the movie title. Anyway, I still hope many of you POstables will enjoy this new movie in the series.

Once again, the new episode of "When Hope Calls" is fantastic! It was great to see Jesse Hutch join the series. Hopefully, many of you will enjoy seeing it Sunday night on Great American Family.

I am delighted that her co-star is Paul Greene, who also starred alongside Candace (as we devoted Christmas movie watchers know) in the 2015 holiday movie, A Christmas Detour! (Yes, it was 10 YEARS AGO!!!) It will be so fun to see the two of them together again. A Christmas Detour has always been one of my personal favorites of Candace's Christmas movies.

"When Hope Calls" Upcoming Episodes Include Danger and Romance

We are midway through the new season 2 episodes of "When Hope Calls," with only three more episodes to go!

Nora and Mountie Fletcher track down a dubious claim; Hannah and Wyatt have a tough decision to make; Maggie tends to the orphans; trouble brews for the ranchers.

Season of Change - May 11, 2025:

The town celebrates; love blooms; the Mounties and ranchers team up to protect the ranchers' livelihood.


My Take on "When Hope Calls":

I have enjoyed the new season of "When Hope Calls" immensely, seeing beloved characters from Season 1 return and gradually meeting new ones. It's been a joy to watch Nora (Cindy Busby) connect on a personal level with each of the orphan children, along with Eleanor's (Elizabeth Saunders) loving guidance.

Sam (Jon McLaren) and Maggie (Hanneke Talbot) are so sweet to watch as they are still newly navigating their relationship, while Sam explores various options for his potential prospecting fortune.

It's still early, but there's a clear attraction between Nora and Mountie Michael Fletcher (Christopher Russell), also known as Fearless Fletcher, who bravely serves and protects while performing heroic acts. After visiting Nurse Maggie for another injury, she asks of him, "Do you going looking for trouble, or does trouble just find you?"

Hannah Lawrence (Sarah Fisher) has also stirred things up in Brookfield with her arrival. She's come to sell her uncle's ranch, creating quite a buzz among the other ranchers, particularly Tess Stewart. It's clear that Hannah and Wyatt (the ranch foreman played by Nick Bateman), are two contrasting personalities that may eventually be drawn to each other.

Then, there's Mountie Jim (Trevor Donovan), known for his strict adherence to the rules. Yet, after some gentle encouragement from his friend, Mountie Michael, he concedes to let Nora take in a troubled orphan girl who seems to crave a little love and affection.

🎄 Great American Family Officially Announces First 2025 Holiday Film, "A Christmas Spark"

Great American Family officially announces their first Christmas film for the 2025 holiday season, the network's 5th season of creating Christmas movies!

Through Deadline, Great American Media announces the holiday film, "A Christmas Spark," starring Mario Lopez ("Once Upon a Christmas Wish," "Saved by the Bell") and Ali Cobrin ("The Baxters").

According to the article, as expected, the fifth anniversary of Great American Christmas will kick off on Great American Family in October! Streaming will begin on Pure Flix in early November.

In the new Christmas film, "A Christmas Spark," Mario Lopez will portray a middle-aged litigator who leaves his lucrative career to become a firefighter. Mario shared in the Deadline article the special meaning for him in wearing the firefighter's uniform, “The movie is extra special to me because of my admiration for firefighters who worked night and day to save lives and property during the recent fires in Los Angeles. Each time I wore the firefighter uniform it was a personal tribute to the brave men and woman who worked tirelessly to save our city. Their courage, selflessness, and resilience embody true heroism, and this project is dedicated to them … true heroes.”

Rhiannon Fish to Star in New Hallmark Channel Movie in June - "A Machu Picchu Proposal"

The Hallmark Channel has released details for an all-new movie, "A Machu Picchu Proposal," premiering in June.

Starring in this new destination film are Rhiannon Fish and Alec Santos.

Storyline via Hallmark: Katie (Rhiannon Fish) agrees to join her brother Dan and his girlfriend Luciana on a trip to Peru. Dan plans to propose to Luciana in a grand way at Machu Picchu at the end of the week and needs Katie’s Spanish speaking skills to ask Luciana’s Peruvian father for his blessing. However, when Luciana’s friend, Chef Carlos (Alec Santos), arrives, he accidentally ruins each proposal attempt. Refusing to give up, Katie does everything in her power to make this proposal happen, until Dan calls it off. Katie must lean into Chef Carlos’ spontaneity to not only save the day and the proposal, and Carlos may just win Katie’s heart too!

"A Machu Picchu Proposal" is currently set to premiere on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 8pm/7c.

Last year's June movie lineup featured a series of destination films under the title Passport to Love. It seems that the network is set to continue this theme with the upcoming June premieres.

Last night Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison, along with Christine Caine (author and public speaker) and Max Lucado (pastor, speaker, and author), reflected on the power of the resurrection and the hope it brings to our lives in a very special Facebook Live Event on Great American Family and Great American Pure Flix's Facebook pages.

Please Note: These "Love Club Moms" movies are said to be sequels to the four original Love Club movies that premiered on the Hallmark Channel in 2023, but these new movies are brand new love stories about fresh new characters, all single mothers.

FYI - the first movie in the original Love Club series, The Love Club: Nicole's Pen Pal, introduced two married men at the end of the film. I don't know if these characters were in subsequent Love Club movies after that. You can read reviews for The Love Club: Nicole's Pen Pal - here.

You can also see details on the three following Love Club movies... The Love Club: Sydney's Journey, The Love Club: Lauren's Dream, The Love Club: Tara's Tune - here. According to an Anonymous reviewer, the first two are family-friendly. In the last movie, Tara has a gay co-worker.

I don't know if the "Love Club Moms" movies are family-friendly. I started watching the first one starring Ashley Newbrough via streaming, but I wasn't fond of the guy they were pairing her with and didn't end up finishing it.
