Movie Reviews:
🔎 Family Practice Mysteries: Coming Home Review.... A very good mystery. I can see this being a great series. Her relationship with her teenage children (who are very respectful) is great like Garage Sale Mysteries and has the same with her widowed father(similar to Mystery 101). It was family-friendly and it was another one of those kinds when the detective shares information!! His only fault is that he's a cat person...haha ;) I laughed when Rachel said Einstein had a dog.😂😂
There was a scene when her work friend is doing yoga meditation. I was glad they didn't really go into it and in the end(killer reveal scene) there is a mention of the "D" word. Which was unfortunate, normally there is no language. Overall, I am glad I watched it and hope to see more! ~Abigail
🔎 "Family Practice Mysteries: Coming Home" - I saw this movie on streaming service. It's family friendly. Acting was good. Story is a little hard to follow. No real dynamics, but over all was a good mystery. ~Joyce in Carolina
🔎 The Family Practice mysteries is streaming early on Hallmark Now. The movie was family-friendly, but I'll admit I was surprised that two swear words were included towards the end of the movie. Other than that it was surprisingly good. ~Laura

I hope you all have a nice weekend planned, and perhaps you can enjoy one of the new movies or When Calls the Heart.
I'm personally looking forward to seeing the return of Tom Thornton, Jack's brother, in this all-new WCTH episode. In the past, he was a troublesome character getting into all sorts of mischief; however, Faith was a good friend who helped him get a job many years ago that set him on a better path. Tom's history, however, does seem to make some skeptical on his current endeavor to find a choir. Is he on the up and up? When I see the upcoming promos/press images, I get a sort of Professor Harold Hill (the scheming traveling salesman) feel from The Music Man. Hopefully, Tom has turned over a new leaf.
There's also a new mystery movie premiere this weekend, and I want to include a special THANK YOU to Abigail, Joyce, and Laura for sharing early movie reviews for Family Practice Mysteries: Coming Home. If you didn't catch them before, you can see all three reviews above. Thank you, ladies, for taking the time to share with us. I know MANY appreciate this (as I do!) so much!
And, of course, the Hallmark Channel has a new puppy-themed movie! I'm sure all dog lovers (including myself!) will be thrilled to *catch* this one! Please note: I haven't pre-screened this movie, but if it is as cute as the promo, then we are all in for a nice *treat*!
Happy watching, everyone!
Blessings on your weekend,
Net
SHINING HIS LIGHT:
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him."
~Psalm 28:7
Hi Net! I think you inadvertently used the wrong day or date a couple of times. The first thing that tipped me off is I noticed that you said Friday-Sunday, but then, in error started listing movies using Saturday as your starting point. Accidents happen…no worries! :). Hope this helps!
ReplyDeleteI so appreciate you kindly mentioning this. I have corrected the days above. Thank you for taking the time to let me know. You have been most helpful... Bless you, Net
DeleteYou are so welcome! Happy to help! 😀
DeleteLooking forward to watching other things this weekend! -Maria
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, The Music Man, that’s a perfect comparison, Net! I can totally see that! I sure hope Tom’s not scheming them all.
ReplyDeleteAllie, I don't really think Tom is Trouble with a capital T (haha!!! a little joke there for "The Music Man" fans), but I can understand why his past might make some wonder.
DeleteMy guess is... he's having some sort of difficulty that the Hope Valley community will be sure to help him resolve.
Blessings, Net
Good choices and all, but I’m still going to miss the Blue Ridge Series this Sunday. It’s not for kids due to violence, but great for adults with the main theme of good triumphing over evil. It can still be streamed, I think. Rob
ReplyDeleteRob, I'm going to miss Blue Ridge this weekend, too. The finale was spectacular, though.
DeleteAnd, yes, it can still be streamed on Plex, Xumo Play, etc...
Blessings, Net
Which movies are you looking forward seeing
ReplyDeleteChris, All of them, as long as they are family-friendly!!! :)
DeleteFamily Practice Mystery: Coming Home is a veteran movie
ReplyDeleteVeteran coming home
Is this 2nd Family Practice Mystery movie?
Family Practice Mystery was aired last year
finally home on a weekend to watch movies
ReplyDeleteLooks like UP TV might be going back to airing new movies next month.
ReplyDeleteChecked their schedule 2 weeks from now, and they're airing May the Best Wedding Win for the 1st time on their network. (which would sound more exciting if it was a clean movie, but it's not).
-Maria
Maria, hey there... I just did a post for the UPtv June Movie Premieres.
DeleteHere's the link:
https://itsawonderfulmovie.blogspot.com/2024/05/uptvs-june-2024-movie-premieres-see-here.html
The network is showing 4 movies in their schedule for June, so far. Another one could be added at the end of June.
Thank you for the reminder on the content in the movie, May the Best Wedding Win. That was most helpful! I added your review to the new post.
Blessings, Net
Cindy Busby just wrapped up a new Christmas movie. Could be for Hallmark given that she used the #countdowntochristmas hashtag, but we'll see. -Maria
ReplyDeleteAnother great episode of WCTH!! I loved the father and Daughter scene of Nathan and Allie singing together. And Elizabeth telling her young son something like ,"Let's give them their space." It was a beautiful moment.
ReplyDeleteFelt bad for Tom Thornton. He had really good intentions, but was conned by his boss. I don't see him having a relationship with Faith unless he moves to Hope Valley permanently. I hope they stick to being friends, because to me he belongs with Julie.

Her latest puppy treat recipe is already all the rage with the dogs on her block, she just needs a distributor to bring her product to the masses. But she can’t land it on the shelves of any local grocers until she meets Alex (Huszar), who runs Happy Harvest and is so impressed by her product that he puts in an order and quickly sells out. As he and Scarlett work together to keep the supply of puppy treats coming, a competitor gets a whiff of her product and does everything he can to shut her down.
