I watched the new film on Hallmark Movies Now titled "Legend of the Lost Locket" featuring some cast from WCTH and other familiar faces. It was such a nostalgic watch, very much reminded me of Hallmark the way it was many years ago. Family friendly and the best Hallmark film I have seen in a long time. ~Laura

Movie Review:
I happened upon this movie late last fall when it was on the Cowboy Channel, which we get as part of our paid-for Friendly TV app. I am not a western-type fan, but from the ads I’d seen for it, it looked like a truly wholesome movie and I knew some of the stars in it from other shows, so was really interested to see what it would be like. Well, I LOVED it. As a Christian myself, it had me sit up and take notice immediately when the main character is quoting some scriptures at the very start of the movie. Very cool! I highly recommend your readers to watch this movie whenever they get a chance. It’s so worth it! And wonderful to fully support movies these days that not only truly wholesome, celebrating high morals and character, but are also well made like this one. ~Anonymous

MOVIE REVIEWS:
๐ผJust in Time - Absolutely beautiful movie!! –Maria
๐ผJust in Time - This is a beautiful, moving film. It brought me to tears multiple times, and Laura Osnes was fantastic, as always. ~Allie B
๐ผJust in Time - This was such an Inspirational, Faith filled, a Blessing of a Movie๐๐
Congratulations to GAF, Candace and Laura on a Spectacular movie.
Laura, thanks to Hallmark- I have loved her since the first movie- "In the Key of Love"
Wished Greyston would have been in more scenes.
Peter Bryant was Brilliant also❤️
Whole cast, so many favorite supporting actors- Mark Brandon( Pastor) is always a joy!!
Spreading the True Reason of Easter:
Our Savior and Redeemer rising from the grave on the 3rd day after Dying on a Cross for all our Sins, can never be told enough....
Since GAF and Bill Abbott launched this channel, I have hoped that something Special would reflect the Commitment that had been promised. Please don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed some of the movies, but this one was Exceptional.
** I loved the "Old school Homemade Ice Cream" scenes and Buttercup❤️❤️ ~ Kathy❤️Texas
๐ผ "Just in Time - Yes, the movie was incredible. It motivated me to be more intentional about these 3 days around Easter. The movie was so heartwarming with such wonderful storytelling. People think these “coincidences” can’t happen but God has given me such moments in my life. I appreciated the STRONG sharing of Godly truth. ~Anonymous
๐ผ "Just in Time" is a truly beautiful movie. I don't have enough words to describe how much I loved it. The message was so powerful. Laura Osnes brought a range of such deep emotions into her character. Such a beautiful scenery. I especially liked Easter beach service. So many words of wisdom. I just want to share my favourite one with you, if you don't mind: "Imagine life as a vast ocean and we are the sailors on an unpredictable voyage. We set our sails hoping for smooth waters and sunny skies, but more often than not we are met with waves of adversity that threaten to swallow us. It's easy to feel disheartened, scared. But there's always a lighthouse. That lighthouse is God". I love lighthouses so much and this quote was just something I needed. This movie is indeed in my heart. ~Oksanka~
๐ผ Review: Just in Time -
Family-friendly? Of course -
Recommended? Most definitely! -
๐ผ This movie is a winner from start to finish! So realistic and touching - how Laura's character goes from one who questions her faith to being a true believer in Christ! As Joan mentioned, both Laura and Peter were top-notch! I knew Laura was a good actress from her other films and stage roles, but here, she is fantastic - so convincing in all of the emotions she displays! You really feel the struggles she is going through! Also, Laura is a strong Christian in real life, and that is so evident here - you feel that her praying in this film is more than just her acting!
One minor quibble - if only they could have found a way to get her to sing! Oh well, maybe in her next film... ~Mark 25
๐ผ I loved the movie. Very Inspirational and uplifting. Very appropriate for the Easter season. Laura and Greyston were excellent together. Please have more uplifting movies like this. Thank you so much. ~Ernie Frasier
๐ผ My husband and I just finished watching "Just in Time". I can't get the movie out of my head. Wow! Just wow! What an incredibly realistic film. Laura and Peter both knocked it out of the park. I liked Greyston but I enjoyed the friendship between Laura and Peter more. Their dynamic was a sight to behold. :-) And, I got a kick out of seeing so many premier actors and actresses throughout the movie. :-) Candace should be very proud of this lovely gem of a movie. I understand why she was so passionate about sharing it with the world. In today's world, it is so refreshing to witness someone who is unafraid to be open and up-front about strong faith and belief in God. :-) ~Joan
๐ผ Candace Cameron Bure Presents: Just in Time is family friendly about Hannah & her Husband named Rowan are trying to have a baby. When Hannah receives a call from stranger named Franklin who claims to have discovered a long-lost heirloom from her family, she sees that the answers to all she seeks will be revealed in God’s time. Some yummy homemade ice cream ๐จ. Hannah meets Irene & Isabella; Isabella mentions how to make a marriage works, Anniversary & inscription; “Those that put their trust in God will never be disappointed”, on gold watch. Mark Brandon as a Pastor at the beach. This movie is so beautiful. ~Anonymous
๐ผ Just in Time –Beautiful! This is one of those unique films that truly captures the heart of what Great American Family truly is! It’s not only a channel, but a special welcoming place that exudes warmth, love, emotion, and faith.
Laura Osnes truly shines in this all-new Easter film! The drama feels so real. The focus is on finding joy in life, while we place our trust in God to see us through any situation, good or bad.
Although Laura’s character, Hannah, often wavers in her faith, it’s obvious there’s still a glimmer of hope that remains in her heart. With profound interest, I followed the clues of the newly discovered watch, and how this journey of discovery sets Hannah on the path of new friendships and a brand new reawakening of her faith and marriage.
There are many memorable and touching scenes, but I’ll simply mention my two favorites. The first is when Hannah’s new friend, Franklin, does an act of kindness for two complete strangers, and explains, “Good Friday… Something was bought for me at a much higher price that I definitely did not deserve. Opportunities like this are just a small way to pay it forward.”
Another scene that I dearly loved was the beach sunrise church service. Words simply cannot express how beautiful this scene is that draws Hannah back to the Lord. It’s a must-see!
This faith-based film truly touched my heart, as I’m certain it will many others. “Just in Time” has a wonderful ensemble cast and a heartwarming story filled with inspirational pearls of wisdom. I very much enjoyed the pairing of Laura Osnes and Greyston Holt. I agree with Mark; my only drawback was my desire to hear Laura sing, and since Greyston is also a wonderful singer, I kept hoping for a special duet. Otherwise, this faith-filled movie is captivating, cozy, and heartfelt, a perfect addition to our annual Easter viewing or at any time! ~Net
Hailey Dean Mysteries Marathon
Starring Kellie Martin and Viv Leacock
Sunday, from 11am - 11pm (EST.)
on Hallmark Mystery
I pray you all have a blessed, beautiful weekend!
We certainly have lots of excellent viewing choices on Saturday and Sunday - with the new movies and series episodes. I hope you all find something to enjoy!
I think it will be great fun to see Natasha Burnett and Viv Leacock paired together in this modern-day rom-com/mystery, Legend of the Lost Locket. I already love these two together on When Calls the Heart, so I have a feeling they will also be wonderful together in this. Plus, it was so nice to receive Laura's early review (see above).
Actor Bruce Boxleitner is on double duty this weekend, as he stars in Far Haven (See the anonymous review above) and will guest star in the second episode of Blue Ridge: The Series.
If you'd like to share a review of the new Hallmark or INSP movie or any of these series, please share in the comments below.
Blessings to you all!

☀️ SHINING HIS LIGHT: ☀️
Treasures in Heaven:
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
~Matthew 6:19-21
I’m so excited to watch Legend of the Lost Locket! I have never watched When calls the Heart but I absolutely love Liv Leacock from Hailey Dean Mysteries, I know it’s been awhile but was that one officially canceled? I’ll be recording that one tomorrow and watching it Sunday night. Have a blessed weekend everyone!
ReplyDelete~Paula
Yes, unfortunately Kellie Martin confirmed that the show cancelled. But at least it ended with them happily engaged.
DeleteThat’s too bad it’s over, but it’s nice to see them dig up this marathon.
DeleteGood weekend for stuff on PBS. -Maria
ReplyDeleteAre there any Hallmark Mysteries movies that are filmed anywhere besides in Canada?
ReplyDeleteMy top pick is WCTH. I can't wait to see more of Faith with little Lilly!
ReplyDeleteThe Legend of the Lost Locket sounds great too!
Net- Thank you for including a review on “Far Haven”. Will include it in my weekend films to watch.
ReplyDelete-Gabe Mom
Net, I wanted to thank you also for a review. We saw Meet Me in New York was available to watch on Xumo Play, and I remembered your review, so we watched it and everyone loved it. Super cute family movie! Wonder why the networks haven’t picked this one up?
ReplyDeleteI'm not watching the movie, but I'm hearing that the Lucabeth kissing bridge made an appearance in the Legend of the Lost Locket movie, and now I'm feeling emotional inside! ๐ -Maria
ReplyDeleteLegend of the Lost Locket is family friendly about an antique expert named Amelia searches for a long-lost locket that promises to bring the wearer true love & finds herself in conflict with, but also attract to, the town sheriff named Marcus. Mayor called it Town of True Love. Amelia mentions James Robert Dudley & Queen Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteI've missed most of this weekend's movies, but I will watch WCTH tonight.
ReplyDeleteLegend of The Lost Locket was good. Family friendly and just enough suspense to keep the story going...plus a little romance too!
ReplyDeleteI'm on the fence about WCTH. I had said I was through after that fiasco ending last season. I watched the first episode last week and I don't think I can watch Elizabeth making goo goo eyes another time like it started out last week! If I continue to watch it will be to see if they have the correct person that shot Lucas!
ReplyDeleteHi everyone.
ReplyDeleteWe really enjoyed "Legend of the Lost Locket". It was a very nice movie. Great cast. Intriguing storyline although I figured out quickly who was lurking in the shadows. I did enjoy the surprises that were revealed along the way. Natasha and Viv were good together. You can tell they have worked together, for awhile, because they had natural believable chemistry. I also like the B & B owner. It was fun seeing all of the WCTH people! And of course, it was also fun seeing one of our Signed, Sealed and Delivered folks as well as Kevin O'Grady! All in all a very nice movie :-)
This was a great episode of WCTH! I think this was one of my favorite Nathan episodes. He was funny during the surprise/non surprise party.
ReplyDeleteI liked the clue mystery music playing while Bill and Rosemary were looking at the evidence board.
I Loved Far Haven, watched overnight on my phone at the Hospital with my patient.
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope Insp. Channel plans on making it a Series?
Great cast, need more
Bruce❤️
A. Martinez❤️
Nancy, Amanda, Jesse, Drew, Martin, etc.
Loved the kids.
I remember Bailey from a sweet Christmas movie, Shoelaces for Christmas!!
The fact that Hunter((Bailey) kept quoting Scripture from the Bible๐๐ was so refreshing and uplifting.
I started on the Locket movie, but a medical emergency intervened.
Viv and Natasha's meet cute was so funny, it looked really good though- I ❤️❤️ history storylines.
May God shower blessings on each of You๐๐
Kathy, That blesses my heart so much to know how much you enjoyed watching Far Haven with your patient. Thank you for sharing this special review with us; I have the movie recorded and will look forward to watching it - hopefully soon!
DeleteGod's Blessings also to you! Net
Just watched the Blue Ridge movie for the first time and then the two episodes that have been released thus far. I am loving it!! So refreshing to see non-woke, old-fashioned themes in entertainment. A noble lawman who puts his life on the line for his family and his community. Masculinity depicted as something good, not toxic. Women who are strong without losing their femininity, unlike the feminist girlbosses we see in other media. A man who has taken responsibility for the mistakes that led to his divorce and is determined to win back his ex-wife. A romance in which the man serves and cares for the woman, and the woman respects and admires the man. But I think my favorite thing about the show is what it says about America. Our country has its dysfunctional subcultures, and one of those is definitely represented here by the feuding clans whose tribalistic mentality justifies violence and cheapens life. But then you have the main character who exemplifies the best of the American spirit: courage, individualism, personal responsibility, service, and traditional morals. And it’s a beautiful thing to see the best of America triumph over the worst of America. That’s one of the themes of American history and I love seeing that acknowledged.
ReplyDeleteRC, Well said! Thank you for sharing this impassioned review of "Blue Ridge" with us. I wholeheartedly agree, the emphasis of this series is the true heart of America- with good triumphing over evil. It's nice to see the Cowboy Way Channel is appealing to viewers who share these same values.
DeleteAgain, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, as I'm sure your review will encourage others to check out this remarkable series.
Blessings, Net
So now Great American Family movies are Merit Street as well as Pure Flix but still no movies their channel. I have read a comment that someone channel guide is updated till the end of the month with the same schedule. I am beginning to think the movies will never be back on Great American Family channel.
