Both of these Christmas movies airing this week are family friendly - and I personally love them both!

Christmas Next Door is a delightful Christmas movie classic from the 2017 holiday season. I've seen it numerous times since then - I just love the lighthearted story of April, the Christmas fanatic, and Eric, the holiday Grinch, who just happens to live next door. Fiona Gubelmann plays April so vibrantly and lively - you just feel drawn to her love of Christmas, and Eric (played by Jesse Metcalfe) feels it, too!

Christmas Waltz is one of those movies that will make you want to get up and dance! When Lacey's character, Avery, goes through a heartbreak, you find yourself cheering her on to find her happiness again and take a step or two out of her comfort zone and into something beautiful!

You can also read some wonderful movie reviews of Christmas Waltz from Alicia, Kay, CH Mom, Jane, and an Anonymous commenter - *HERE*.

  1. Net, I just came across a comment from you, and it was from a year ago, and I was wondering how your Aunt Margaret is doing? I was reading about her condition, and wanted to check in.

I hope you are having good days in this month of May.

    1. Sheri, Thank you for your thoughtful message. Sadly my precious Aunt Margaret passed away at the end of January, 2020.

We were feeling hopeful for my Aunt’s recovery, but she passed away and into the arms of Jesus. I am positive of that because she was always close to the Lord. As I write this over a year later, I still can hardly believe it is real.

She was such an energetic, lively woman - who loved Jesus, her family, politics and Hallmark movies. We loved to share our joy of watching Hallmark movies together and watching them now, makes me feel close to her.

I appreciate you asking me about my sweet Aunt.

God's blessing to you and your family, Net

    3. kitkat, Thank you, honey. I know you understand all too well, sadly, with your incredible losses. Last year we lost four very dear family members starting in January with my precious Aunt. (none were from the virus)

I originally shared my Aunt's story here, if you'd like to see it. We were also blessed to receive a special encouraging message from actor, Paul Greene. That heartfelt response meant so much to my family, even though my aunt did not recover.

I continue to keep you closely in my prayers. God bless you, my friend...

  3. Finally 2 great Christmas movies this week. Christmas Waltz was my favorite from 2020. It’s no wonder why everyone loves Lacey Chabert.

    1. Christmas Waltz was enchanting but it badly needed either a different ending or a short epilogue - they could have shown the opening of a new studio at Brighton Beach with Avery sporting an engagement or marriage ring.

    2. Agree - we truly need a "Christmas Waltz" part 2! :)
