When a vacant shop becomes available in town, Kyra sees an opportunity to put a plan into action, until she learns that there's another renter interested in the space. Enter Aiden Sawyer, prodigal son, big-city business magnate and Kyra's childhood nemesis, returning home to the country club his parents own. As they patch up their past, Kyra and Aiden learn that there may be something more between them than just playful flirting. Merry *Mark the 25th* Day of the Month, Everyone!

It's time to Mark the 25th day of the month again, as we countdown to Christmas! As of April 25th - 8 months to go!

Did any of you have snow this past week? Yes, SNOW in April! We ended up receiving about 3 inches here on the farm in the Midwest. It was beautiful to watch the snowy scene from my warm spot inside. It definitely felt more like Christmastime, then Spring! I could hardly believe it as I looked out my window - there was snow on our lilacs and daffodils! It has all melted away now and we are expecting warmer temps this weekend, but it was rather fun to get that little taste of Christmas once more.

For all of you Christmas movie fans who wish to participate in marking the 25th, simply pick something Christmassy to watch Sunday, April 25th! (Or, Saturday will work, too!) It can be a Christmas movie, cartoon, family sitcom or anything you like. (There's only one stipulation - it must be family friendly.) Then, please share in comments below your Christmas choice for the day!

My pick to Mark the 25th is... "When Calls the Heart: Home for Christmas," in honor of the WCTH wedding airing this weekend.

*************************

I hope you all have a cozy, sunny Spring weekend. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather and being outside more, and enjoying the movies + When Calls the Heart Sunday night! I think there's going to be a lot of couples dealing with emotion during Florence and Ned's wedding. Should be interesting! I'm so happy to see these two say I do, and I'm delighted Katie, Ned's daughter, has returned for this special day, even though she's not quite ready for her father to remarry. As the previews have hinted, the conversation Elizabeth has with her not only changes Katie's heart, but it may also make Elizabeth realize what's in her own.

Please Note: I have not pre-screened Hallmark's new movie, Hearts Down Under. If you happen to watch it and would like to share a review, please share below in comments.

Review: I did pre-screen the new UPtv movie Designed with Love, and it is cute and family-friendly. You can see more of my review - *HERE*!

Also, if you'd like to join in and Countdown to Christmas with us, please be sure to share your *Mark the 25th* Christmas pick in comments below!

Blessings on your weekend! Net

SHINING HIS LIGHT:

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails..."

    1. Unless there is a surprise, it doesn't look like a new movie is going to be scheduled for May 1st (so far, LOVE, ROMANCE & CHOCOLATE is scheduled at 9pm), but you never know about May 22 and May 29. If there's no new movie on the 29th, then they'll probably do some sort of marathon, since it's Memorial Day weekend.

  3. Jim, Good to hear from you... Glad to know you were in a snow-globe, too! Wasn't it something? So strange... snow one day and 80's degrees next week! I love that you kept your Christmas tree up - it makes you happy and that's all that matters. I have a strand of lights hanging in my den, like the kind you often see on patios or decks, and I just love the glow all year round.

The snow really put me into the holiday spirit, too... what a perfect time for you to start watching Christmas movies again!!! :)

  6. Oh, no! I missed the BYUtv one. I wonder if it will air again or be put on DVD or on Prime Video? That is cute that is starring a real couple! I wish more would do that! Did anyone watch it? How was it?

I only saw a tiny part of the end of the Hallmark one and there was NO chemistry between the two. Was it as boring as it seemed at that point at the end? Or was it just me catching a bad part (to me anyway).

Thanks for the all the info!

    1. Misty, So sorry you missed the Jocelyn Hudon movie on BYU. I have it recorded, so I'll be sure to let you know what I thought of it when I get the chance to watch.

I'm hearing lots of mixed reactions on Hearts Down Under, so you're not alone.

Glad you enjoyed the full post over the weekend.

    2. Misty, I've got great news! "One of a Kind Love" is available now to watch free through VOD (for anyone in the U.S.).

For some reason the link to watch wasn't working before, but I just checked and it's working now. I contacted them about it, so maybe they fixed after that. Not sure how long they'll have it available, but here's the link to watch on BYU's web-site:

  7. Nathan and Elizabeth all season long and is now working itself out between them. They will come together strong as a couple. N/E are endgame.

Oh you’re so welcome!! I’m so glad it made you feel better. All I can say is follow the signs. The writers have invested A LOT into Elizabeth & Nathan individually and as a future couple. It’s always been their love story we’re watching.

This scene was EVERYTHING!! “Jack might have taken the place for anyone on that mission, it just happened to be you. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, I don’t blame you for his death.” - Elizabeth to Nathan

    1. I believe he said something like - Florence wanted her to have the bouquet. You'd think Florence would want Molly or Katie to have it, but for some reason - she gave it to Nathan to give to Elizabeth. I guess it is so Lucas can see Nathan giving Elizabeth flowers and suspect something else.

    2. No throwing of the bouquet. Preview shows Nathan bringing the bouquet to Elizabeth saying Flo wanted her to have it and Nathan said "I guess Florence thinks you are the next one to get married".

    1. Alicia, Thank you for sharing this! I posted it to the "Hearts Down Under" page.

Glad to know you liked it. I know there are people out there who harshly judge Hallmark, in general - so I try not to take the mean, negative reviews too seriously, if people put a movie down solely because it's a bit cheesy.

Thanks so much for letting us know your thoughts on it! :)

  11. Someone tried to buy Bill’s land, Dottie’s dress shop, the gas station, the Canfields’ house in Hope Valley? And what did Lucas say in French to his friends on the phone in his office? May be all unrelated?

Lucas isn’t what he seems because he has hidden agenda in the past whose he has dark secrets on his own while talking to his French Friends.
