Christmas In Evergreen - a Hallmark Channel Original "Countdown to Christmas" Movie starring Ashley Williams, Teddy Spears, Barbara Niven, Holly Robinson-Peete, Marcus Rosner, and Jaeda Lily Miller!
Storyline via Hallmark: Allie, a veterinarian in Evergreen, reluctantly will spend Christmas with her long-distance boyfriend. Bound for the airport, she has engine trouble, and Ryan, headed to Florida with his daughter Zoe, stops to help. Sure they won’t meet again, they ignore their attraction, and part ways. At the diner, Zoe wishes on a snow globe, and a storm seems to grant her wish. She wants to spend Christmas in Evergreen, and the airport shuts down! Stranded too, Allie gives them a ride to town, and on the way, must deliver a calf. It’s a miraculous start to Christmas, until Allie’s boyfriend helicopters in. Upset, Ryan leaves with Zoe, but now their flight is canceled! Something is keeping Ryan, Zoe and Allie in Evergreen, and it might have a lot to do with Nick (Keith Martin Gordey), a new guy in town who seems to know a bit about Christmas magic.

I am THRILLED to see Christmas in Evergreen is coming out on DVD. I absolutely loved that movie. Thank you so much for posting about it!!!!! Jenn
ReplyDeleteIsn't it sweet, Jenn... I love the "wishing" snow globe, cool red truck, and how everyone keeps ending up back in Evergreen! It's a perfect "Hallmark" Christmas story!
DeleteI would like to see on DVD from 2017:
ReplyDeleteSwitched for Christmas
Christmas Next Door
Christmas Getaway
Bramble House
I would like to see on DVD from past Christmas:
Matchmaker Santa
One Starry Christmas
Help for the Holidays
Finding Christmas
Christmas List
Awesome DVD picks, Sabrina! I sure hope they plan to release lots of our Christmas favorites from 2017, and past seasons, too!
DeleteMiss Christmas(That's a no brainer with Marc Blucas :)
ReplyDeleteA Joyous Christmas
A Bramble House Christmas
Awwwwe, I just knew you would pick "Miss Christmas," Joyce! It was such a fun movie! Marc & Brooke D'Orsay were such a perfect pairing, great chemistry!!! It's definitely on my list, too!
DeleteChristmas in Evergreen was okay, in my opinion, I would rather have Miss Christmas or Christmas Next Door.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope they are all released!!! :)
DeleteI like the HMM movies best, my DVD picks are Engaging Father Christmas
ReplyDeleteA Joyous Christmas
Magical Christmas Ornaments
Karen Kingsbury’s Maggie’s Christmas Miracle
Romance at Reindeer Lodge
Oops, that's more than three! Oh well, I'll take them all!
Oh, I love those HMM Christmas movies, too, Anna! They are always filled to the brim with heart and emotion! Those are all excellent choices... Oh my goodness... I just can't wait to watch them all again!!!
DeleteA Gift to Remember
ReplyDeleteChristmas Getaway
Switched for Christmas
More wonderful Christmas movie picks, Egreen! And, I just adore your "kitty cat" profile pic... so sweet! Makes me think of one of my all-time Hallmark favorites "The Nine Lives of Christmas!" I'm so glad they released that one on DVD years ago and hopefully, they'll release the ones you mentioned, too!
DeleteI really enjoyed "Christmas in Evergreen," and I thought that Barbara Niven (who played Allie's mom,) looked absolutely beautiful. She glowed and was radiant - she is seriously aging in reverse - and I want to know her secret! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sure Barbara would be thrilled to read your comment, Amy G.! I agree wholeheartedly... she is just as lovely now as when she first started making Hallmark movies! She's also the perfect Mother for the O'Brien family (with all those beautiful grown-up kids) on "Chesapeake Shores." As you said... she is, indeed, radiant!
DeleteMy favorite Christmas Movies
ReplyDeleteSwitched to Christmas
A Bramble House Christmas
Karen Kingbury's Maggie's Christmas Miracle
Wonderful Christmas movie picks! Just reading all these titles makes me eager to watch them all - all over again! :)
DeleteMiss Christmas, Bramble House Christmas, Rocky Mountain Christmas...but there are many more I loved almost as much as the above 3!
ReplyDeleteOh, I know just what you mean... 3 just isn't enough!!! :)
DeleteMy choices would be: Coming Home for Christmas, Christmas Getaway and Bramble House Christmas...loved them, but so many titles from last year I would love to see on DVD.
ReplyDeleteWonderful Christmas movie choices, Jill! I enjoyed those, as well... plus, there always seems to be movies from years past that I keep longing for! Maybe one day!
DeleteAll of the above!
ReplyDeleteYes, release them all... Please!!!!! :)
DeleteI like your picks, Net, plus Engaging Father Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes... Erin Krakow and Niall Matter were so wonderful in the sequel... I'm so longing for the third movie in the series... "Marrying Father Christmas." Can't wait to see it this upcoming Christmas season!
DeleteAfter a lull of no releases, Christmas in Evergreen is there first on DVD for the new season? Kind of surprising, I would've thought it would have been Marry Me at Christmas, since it was the first to premiere or The Christmas Train, since it's a Hallmark Hall of Fame. Either one would be my DVD choice, along with Romance at Reindeer Lodge.
ReplyDeleteAll excellent choices, CJ! I love how we all love a big mix of Christmas movies, and since Hallmark gives us so many to view... there are lots and lots more to love!
DeleteI really enjoyed the three you mentioned... "Marry Me at Christmas," "The Christmas Train," and "Romance at Reindeer Lodge" ...they were all so fun to watch and "The Christmas Train" had a bit of mystery, which I loved!
My top choices would be:
ReplyDeleteA Bramble House Christmas
Rocky Mountain Christmas
Christmas Getaway
A Gift to Remember
And to echo Sabrina about past Christmas movies: yes please for Matchmaker Santa and One Starry Christmas. Love those movies.
Fun choices, Anonymous... I know we all keep hoping for past favorites to be released! I, too, keep hoping for "Matchmaker Santa," even though it was originally a PixL movie, and they are not available on DVD, but I keep hoping regardless, and another one is "Window Wonderland," I haven't figured out why this well-loved movie is never released. It's very puzzling, at times, why some are released over others!
DeleteI would like to have The Christmas Train, Engaging Father Christmas, Christmas Homecoming, Christmas at Holly Lodge, Help for the Holidays, Hearts of Christmas, With love Christmas, A Gift to remember,
ReplyDeleteA dream of christmas, 12 gifts of christmas, matchmaker Santa and Christmas Cure. Please can these all be on DVD!!!
I'm with you, Lizanne... I would love them all!!!
DeleteSpecifically, I love that you picked "The Christmas Train," as I've heard some didn't like it much, but I thought it was such fun to watch... almost reminded me of an old movie on TCM that Cary Grant would've done... I'm sure it was the train that gave it that nostalgic feel, but also the mystery of everyone's identity on the train was an interesting twist! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, too!
Thank you for sharing all your favorites! Let's hope many are released!!! :)
Probably my overall favorite was With love, Christmas. Also liked Joyous Christmas, Christmas Cure, Gift to Remember, Mistletoe Inn, Christmas Cottage, Christmas Next Door, Sharing Christmas, Christmas Connection, Christmas Getaway, Bramble House Christmas, Christmas in Angel Falls, Maggie's Christmas Miracle, and Magical Christmas Ornaments. And as others have said about ones from the past, 12 Gifts of Christmas, Matchmaker Santa, Finding Christmas, Christmas in Homestead, My Christmas love and so many more. Would really love Christmas in Homestead and My Christmas Love. I think a couple of the best movies. Maybe just put them all on dvd and make everyone happy. Sorry it was more than 3, but who can pick just 3. RG
ReplyDeleteI love it, RG! That's exactly right... who can pick only 3? Certainly not me, either, and it looks like you chose some great ones many would love to see released, as well! Hopefully, the consensus of favorite movies will yield the higher probability of more of them being released!!!
DeleteI would like to see the following on DVD:
ReplyDeleteHome For Christmas Day
Christmas Homecoming
Christmas Getaway
Those are nice movie picks, Anonymous! Both "Home For Christmas Day" and "Christmas Homecoming" are such a wonderful tribute for our military, who sacrifice so much for our freedom. It's wonderful the way Hallmark honors our military. Thank you for mentioning these films.
DeleteHey, Net, I pre-ordered my copy and hope many more will be released soon. Now, if I could only pick three I'd choose, With Love, Christmas....A Joyous Christmas....Engaging Father Christmas and so many, many more that I loved but couldn't possibly name them all. How about releasing them all, Hallmark!!! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteYay, so glad to hear you've got your DVD pre-ordered, Linda! That's fantastic! If they see a great interest with this DVD, perhaps that will encourage them to release even more of the others we enjoyed so much at Christmastime!
DeleteI also loved the three you chose... they are definitely ones that pulled at the heartstrings! But, like you, I just about want them all!!! This is such a fun time as we wait and see!!! :)
I would like to see the following on DVD:
ReplyDeleteKaren Kingsbury's Maggie's Christmas Miracle
A Joyous Christmas
The Christmas Train
I really wish they would release some of the good ones from past years, like Window Wonderland, 12 Gifts of Christmas, On the Twelve Day of Christmas, and so many others.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it seems that Hallmark is no longer issuing the 2 dvd/4 movie sets, where they would package movies that were released individually two or three years earlier. Too bad - you could usually get a good deal this way!
I would like to see Enchanted Christmas on DVD. Carlos and Alexa are madly in love & so stinkin cute together, I can't wait to see them together in more movies!
