Hallmark Channel's "When Calls the Heart" on DVD - Cherish it Forever!

Now that the first Season of "When Calls the Heart" has come to an end, you will want to re-live and cherish those wonderful "first" moments from Season 1... again and again!

See it from the start: the first day Elizabeth came to Coal Valley, the first time she met the children, Abigail Stanton, the widows, and the minors, plus the first of Elizabeth's many kitchen catastrophes, and that very first moment when Elizabeth laid eyes on Jack!

So much has proceeded that "prelude to a kiss"! A spark was lit at that first moment, the embers were getting warmer, sometimes becoming intense, other times nearly smoldering out, until it eventually became a full flame. It's an age of innocence, a time of tragedy, a call of courage, a determined strength, and unwavering faith.

I hope the Characters of Coal Valley, in Hallmark's "When Calls the Heart have touched your hearts and lives, and will continue to do so...

When Calls the Heart "Lost and Found" DVD

The first DVD of this Family Friendly Drama Series is 1 hour and 27 minutes long. It is a blend of the first and second episodes that aired on the Hallmark Channel, with a few deleted scenes/moments, plus a special interview with Writer Janette Oke, and Producers Brian Bird and Michael Landon, Jr.

“When Calls the Heart” cast includes Erin Krakow as Elizabeth Thatcher, Daniel Lissing as Jack Thornton, and Lori Loughlin as Abigail Stanton, and so many more wonderful actors!

No news, has yet to come for Season 2, but I am still holding out hope that “When Calls the Heart" will be renewed. Fans have been faithful to the series, and I know the Hallmark Channel has not only noticed, but shared in our enthusiasm.

Thank you to Everyone who Supported "When Calls the Heart"!
God Bless You!!!

Can you solve this Hallmark Movie Mystery?

In the fall of 2014, the Hallmark Movie Channel will be changing it's name to "Hallmark Movies & Mysteries" and will be expanding with more Mystery Movies in 2015!

For those of you who enjoyed the Movie, "Garage Sale Mystery", starring Lori Loughlin, (from When Calls the Heart, Full House) you will be happy to know they are planning to continue the storyline from the original 2013 Hallmark Channel movie with a series of follow-up movies. (the premiere movie is available on DVD)

Here's the scoop directly from Hallmark's press release:

"Hallmark Movie Channel is excited to announce the launch of a new development deal of the network’s first-ever Original Mystery Wheel Franchise with three contemporary original series of mystery movies. Within the Mystery Wheel Franchise for 2015, is a three-part, two-hour series of films airing in alternation of each other."

"...The first movie of the franchise will be “Garage Sale Mystery,” starring Lori Loughlin. In “Garage Sale Mystery,” Lori Loughlin will star as Jennifer Shannon, an expert garage sale treasure hunter, who has a keen eye for detail and natural problem solving instincts, which inspire her to help the police solve mysteries and crime. The movie franchise will continue to follow Jennifer as she scours the sales for hidden treasures and clues."

"The second wheel stars Dylan Neal (“Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove”) who will star in and executive produce, “The Gourmet Detective,” based on the series of books by Peter King.  Neal’s real- life wife Becky Southwell will write the movies about the chef turned culinary sleuth.  In “The Gourmet Detective,” a culinary whiz uses his mastery of food, drink and cooking to solve crimes of the culinary world.  Whether it’s the theft of a valuable recipe or a suspicious murder in the middle of a five-star restaurant, his insight, skills and encyclopedic knowledge of all things edible always lead him to the culprit."

"The third component to the movie series will be announced shortly."

*See UPDATE below!!!!

Hmmm... that sounds interesting? For now, the 3rd Mystery is a Mystery!

Let's do a little sleuthing....
Could it be?....

I have a hunch... Anything is Possible! I'll do my best to track down the answer and let you know. Until, further notice... everyone is Suspect!

So, why the switch to a Mystery format, you might ask?

Well, here's our first clue: the Hallmark Channel has been quite successful in the past with their Mystery Movies, including "the highly-rated movie series ...“Mystery Woman,” starring Kellie Martin, “McBride” starring John Larroquette, “Jane Doe” with Lea Thompson and “Murder 101” featuring Dick Van Dyke."

"Hallmark Movie Channel, the second linear channel from Crown Media Holdings, Inc., simulcast in SD (Standard Definition) and HD (High Definition), is a trusted family-friendly network devoted to quality storytelling. Available in 53 million homes and one of the fastest-growing cable TV networks..."

I sure wish one of those 53 million homes was mine! Please DirecTV - add Hallmark Movie Channel to your SD (Standard Definition) Line-up! Millions of DirecTV customers are still waiting and hoping for this channel!

As for the third set of Mystery Movies...

Until we get a breakthrough in this case,
or, we get word... via our shoe phone,
I suspect we will all be in Suspense!

Hallmark Channel is pleased to announce that it is partnering once again with beloved #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber to create its fourth Hallmark Channel Original Holiday Movie World Premiere “Debbie Macomber’s Mr. Miracle,” slated to debut Holiday 2014. The movie and backdoor pilot will be part of the network’s hugely popular “Countdown To Christmas,” the #1 most treasured holiday destination by television viewers.

Previously, Hallmark Channel partnered with Macomber to bring the holiday movies “Debbie Macomber’s Mrs. Miracle,” “Debbie Macomber’s Call Me Mrs. Miracle” and “Debbie Macomber’s Trading Christmas” to the small screen. Audiences fell in love with the film adaptations of Macomber’s bestselling books, all of which were so successful that they became among the top rated holiday movies on the network. Of course, Macomber’s bestselling Cedar Cove novels are also the basis for Hallmark Channel’s highly successful first scripted dramatic series, “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove.”

In “Debbie Macomber’s Mr. Miracle,” heaven and earth collide when angel-in-training Harry Mills,  A.K.A “Mr. Miracle” is sent down to a community college during Christmas; for his first assignment: to help an insecure student realize her true purpose in life. Harry, living as a literature teacher, is also schooled in lessons of life and love as he realizes that dealing with humans is not as easy as it looks like from the clouds.

More, via Hallmark press release:
When guardian angel Harry Mills (Morrow) arrives on Earth for the first time, he's got a lot to learn about life as a human. But this miracle worker-in-training ignores the advice of his heavenly mentor, Celeste (Harrison), to eagerly take on his first assignment - helping a young woman named Addie (Irvin) find the confidence to change her life. Addie has always struggled in school and is currently feeling overwhelmed and indecisive trying to live up to her father's expectations of becoming a doctor. Now, after her father's sudden passing, Addie is living with her mom Sharon (Redmond), filled with regret and uncertainty while attempting to finish her degree all while avoiding her childhood nemesis, Erich (Francis). Enter Harry, posing as her fumbling, well-meaning new English teacher who takes on the task of guiding her to see the wonderful things she can't see in herself. With a deadline of Christmas day to change Addie's perspective, or else say goodbye to his own Earthly existence, Harry is clueless but endearing in his effort to make Addie open up to a life full of promise - and even love - while learning a few life lessons of his own along the way.

Jim Thorburn ... Walter Dunlap
Eric Keenleyside ... Gordon Logan
Lini Evans ... Betty Logan
Olivia Steele-Falconer ... young Molly
Yasmeene Lily-Elle Ball ... Victoria

PLOT:

In the UP Original Movie The Tree That Saved Christmas, imaginative, hard-working Molly Logan (Lacey Chabert) grew up on her family’s generations-old Christmas tree farm in rural Vermont and would often write stories about individual trees as they shipped out, her favorite being a “Charlie Brown” tree struggling to grow.

One day, after hearing the roar of buzz saws used to clear the woods of sickly saplings, nine-year-old Molly (Olivia Steele-Falconer) ran to save her favorite – even after her father Gordon (Eric Keenleyside) and his crew had made a gash in its trunk. She knew that someday this little tree would have a story to tell. Now 29, Molly lives in Manhattan and is pursuing her dreams of a writing career.

Unfortunately as an assistant to Pendant Publishing CEO Walter Dunlap (Jim Thorburn), Molly has no life and little chance to write. Buried with work and Mr. Dunlap’s personal Christmas plans, Molly is devastated to learn from her architect brother Ryan (Matthew Anderson) that the bank is foreclosing on her parents’ heritage tree farm. This will be her family’s last Christmas at the farm as all the trees will be cleared to make way for a golf course. However, a frustrated Molly can’t make it home thanks to obligations to her boss and his young daughters Victoria (Yasmeene Lily-Elle Ball) and Sofia (Alisha Newton).

Much to her shock, Molly discovers that the Christmas tree she ordered for the Dunlap home is that same one she saved years ago, down to the distinctive gash on its trunk. Certain that it is the same tree from her youth – and a sign – Molly drags the tree back to her Vermont home and embarks upon a plan to save the family farm – with some surprising, inventive help from her brother and former boyfriend Lucas (Corey Sevier), who now works at the bank for his father Elliot (James Kidnie).
