The one you didn't see, yet - "Love at First Bark" is a standard sweet Hallmark movie. It may not have been chosen by anyone (or many) for their stand out favorite, but it's still a great watch and one I'm sure dog lovers will enjoy!

  11. 1. "Moonlight in Vermont" The music was just lovely! Lacey Chabert was incredible despite being pregnant.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think she was pregnant for this movie, she had the baby last year, right after they filmed A Wish for Christmas.

      Delete
    2. You are absolutely right, Sabrina! Lacey Chabert had already given birth to her baby girl when she filmed "Moonlight in Vermont" from January 4 through January 23, 2017! Her baby girl, Julia Mimi Bella, was born last fall - on September 1, 2016. Lacey filmed "A Wish for Christmas" last year with Paul Greene when she was expecting.

  13. I loved all of them!!!! Thought they were great.

  14. I really liked them all, except Moonlight in Vermont. It was just so-so. For the poster - Cats and Dogs

  15. Moonlight In Vermont and Like Cats And Dogs

  16. Favorite movie - Like Cats and Dogs. I loved the switch with the girl being the free spirit dog owner instead of the list making control freak.

The Perfect catch was my least favorite.

Poster - probably Like Cats and Dogs.

The Moonlight one is the worst. The flowers look really fake.

  17. I liked Like Cats and Dogs for both. I watched them all and liked them all as well. I don't know any Hallmark movie that I didn't like.

    1. That's sweet, Estra! There's not many that I don't like, either! :)

As long as the movie is family-friendly, I'm pretty much game!

  18. I would probably say Moonlight in Vermont but The Perfect Catch was a close second

  19. I enjoyed Moonlight in Vermont the most. For a poster, I like the Perfect Catch.

I watched all 4 and would only re-watch Moonlight in Vermont one day. The others were decent but nothing special.

If I ranked them I'd put Moonlight and then Like Cats and Dogs and then Perfect Catch and finally Love at First Bark.

  20. Definitely The Perfect Catch. Not only is it well acted, but the story is really sweet, and I loved that it was a little bit "different" from the norm. (Though to be honest: I haven't see 'Cats & Dogs.' Yet.)

    1. Yes, "The Perfect Catch" is such a good one, Rissi! It was fun to see Andrew Walker and Nikki Deloach, plus Lisa Durupt, *teamed up* together again!

I have a feeling you might just love "Like Cats and Dogs," too! Has that same sort of feel as "Summer Villa," where they shared the vacation home, but being complete opposites - they shared little else, except for an interest in one another! I found it to be super sweet and fun to watch - hope you end up liking it, too!!! :)

    2. Like Ctas & Dogs reminded me a little of Trading Christmas. Mainly because the guy was very rigid and had a routine, and the girl was a free spirit. He was there to work on his project like Charles was, but ended up falling in love.

  21. The Perfect Catch for both! Finally a Hallmark movie that felt like something a guy could watch. Mind you, I've seen the Nutcracker and all the Princess movies with my wife and kids, but this time it was nice to have the ball in my court or the field in this instance.

    1. That's cute, CJ - love it! It's great to see some movies that have interests guys may be more into, like for instance... "Love on the Sidelines" had the football theme.

Glad you liked it, too! :)

  22. Movie: All of the above, but mostly Like Cats and Dogs! I also liked Love at First Bark, but no one else has mentioned it.

Poster: The Perfect Catch, except her outfit is boring. She needed her apron from the diner.

    1. Her apron would have been a great touch to the poster - good idea! It would have helped to tell her story, too! Though, I must say - I love the baseball up in the air!

  25. They were all your standard Hallmark movies, enjoyable to watch, but no stand outs. If pressed I would have to say Bark and Moonlight tied for worst of Spring, while Cats/Dogs & Perfect Catch were not best, but better than average.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The Perfect Catch is my favorite for both film and poster. I like the sports theme and both Andrew Walker and Nikki deLoach were great.

The rest of the spring fling movies were not bad but quite forgettable. Cats and dogs was cute. I had a high expectation for Moonlight in Vermont but I thought it was just okay. There were some funny moments but i couldn't quite feel the chemistry between the 2 leads.

    1. I so agree, CH Mom - I liked Lacey in "Moonlight in Vermont" and they were all great - but the chemistry between Lacey & Carlo Marks + her best friend (portrayed by Fiona Vroom) & brother (portrayed by Jason Cermak) - all seemed to be lacking. I wanted more of a connection, but just didn't feel it. Overall, it's still a sweet, fun family-friendly story and I adore Lacey's warm laugh!

  27. Movie: Love at First Bark--I love Jana Kramer and her country music. and that movie was so cute.

Poster--Like Ctas & Dogs--I love ctas, and I liked that movie a lot, #2 very close behind Love at First Bark

Cant wait for June Weddings, so many good looking movies :)

    1. Me too, Sabrina - I'm loving the sneak peek we've had at the June Weddings! Especially looking forward to seeing Pascale Hutton & Kavan Smith, Rosemary and Lee, from "When Calls the Heart" in their modern wedding movie - "The Perfect Bride!"

    2. I know Net, I cant wait to see Pascale and Kavan together. I am really looking forward to Josie & Jack too in the Wedding March. I am hoping the 2 daughters will be in it a lot too, I thought they were both good actresses. I think they are filming the Wedding March 2 now, I think I saw a tweet with Jack & Josie.

    3. They sure are! You're right! Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett are in the midst of filming the sequel to "The Weddiing March"'right now - April 24 to May 12!!!!

That movie was such a good one last year -
I agree! I'm looking forward to seeing how they continue the story! I hope they bring both daughters back, too! :)

  28. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

This is fun, Net! But, I was wondering why does Spring Fling always end in April? Why can't they continue in May, until spring is over? Didn't Tulips in Spring premiere last year in May?๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ’

Anyway, we loved at our house ๐Ÿ  most of the spring movies, but mostly The Perfect Catch! We're all about baseball right now! ⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️

Love all the posters! Very colorful!

    Replies
    1. I'm not sure why they don't include Spring movies in May. After all, like you said, it's still Spring. And, yes, "Tulips in Spring" actually premiered last year in May, and at that time, it wasn't even included in the promotion of Spring Fling movies, but now when Spring Fling is mentioned in Hallmark commercials, "Tulips in Spring" is always included, which it absolutely should be! It's such a cute movie, and most definitely, with the beautiful outdoors, and tulips, of course- it truly feels like Spring!

The movie "Moonlight in Vermont... " has the opposite affect on me. With all the snow, it feels more like a Winterfest movie. I know lots of places have snow in the Spring, trust me I know, living in the mid-west, but as far as a movie goes, if it's for Spring, I want to see sunny skies, maybe a little rain, and the budding of pretty flowers.

Anyway, that's just a little of my take!

Thank you for sharing, Abby! You are so right - all of the Spring Fling posters are very colorful! I like that, too!!! :)

  30. Oh, I saw a preview of this Spring Fling, sounds great. I've seen Lacey Chabert in a lot of these Hallmark movies lately, especially at Christmas time. She always does a nice job acting.

Thanks for the comment today, Nel, about my road trip. It should be fun. : )

  31. My opinions generally run parallel with those of C H Mom but we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

I did find good chemistry between Lacey Chabert and Carlo Marks in Moonlight in Vermont and that was my favourite of the four Movies although Like Cats and Dogs was a close second. There seemed to be something of a different voice calling from it.

I didn't think Wyatt Nash was your usual type of Hallmark hero and I found it refreshing.

As so often happens with Hallmark I was frustrated by the ending - why do they feel they have to do something clever? - all I really want is for both parties to say those three magic words, kiss and leave it like that!

Moonlight In Vermont does seem to have split opinion.

Andrew Walker is one of my favourite actors but he (and also Paul Greene for that matter) deserve better scripts than they are being given.

All four were enjoyable but to date 2017 is lacking that blockbuster movie.

Already in 2016 we had Love On The Sidelines and Valentine Ever After.

The Movie Poster was more difficult. In each one at least one of the parties looked uncomfortable.

I think I'd plump for Love At First Bark.

  32. My favorite was The Perfect Catch with Moonlight In Vermont a close second. Same for the posters. RG

  33. I think for me it's a tie between The Perfect Catch & Moonlight in Vermont for favorite movie. For the poster Like Cats & Dogs. The cat and dog are just so cute.

  34. I saw “Love at First Bark”, “Moonlight in Vermont”, and “The Perfect Catch”. I thought “Love at First Bark” was ok, but the second half of the movie seemed to be stronger than the first half and the on-screen chemistry being the leads was not as strong as it was between Lacey and Carlo’s characters in “Moonlight in Vermont” and Nikki and Andrew’s characters in “The Perfect Catch”. “Moonlight in Vermont” and “The Perfect Catch” were the movies that I liked from the Spring Fling movie line-up! To me, “Moonlight in Vermont” had about the same amount of charm that “All of my Heart” did and I also thought there was on-screen chemistry between Lacey and Carlo’s characters. “The Perfect Catch” had a great cast whose acting talents complemented the movie. I felt that the story of “The Perfect Catch” was good as well.

The posters for “Love at First Bark” and “Like Cats and Dogs” were my favorites because they look like authentic photographs from real life, not a pre-arranged movie poster photo shoot.

    ⚾The Perfect Catch⚾

It was really hard to pick favorite movie it was a toss up between Perfect Catch and Like Cats & Dogs
I really enjoyed those two movies the best of all.
Already watched both of them twice!!

To break the tie I decided to go with my poster pick.
Which was a easy decision because Perfect Catch definitely is the best poster!!!
