Happy New Year again, dear friends! May the Lord guide us and light our way in the year ahead, with His Spirit living in us and our actions reflecting His mighty love. I pray 2026 brings you much happiness and is filled with new and exciting possibilities!
Hope you have a little time to enjoy the new programming this weekend! I think the new rom-com, Lost in Paradise, looks like such a fun one, and I've always adored Lacey Chabert - she has the cutest, sweetest laugh! And her handsome co-star, Ian Harding, is typically very charming.
And, I'm very much looking forward to the 13th season of "When Calls the Heart!" I can't wait to return to Hope Valley, to the 1920s, to see all of my favorite characters again! (By the way, the "When Calls the Heart" marathon of past seasons continues throughout the weekend on Hallmark Family!)
ð Happy 2026! ð
God's Blessings to You All,
Net✨

and peace as you trust in him…”

Hi! Wonderful blog! I've been going crazy looking for a Lifetime Christmas movie that was featured on Pluto TV. All I know is that a woman named Sara lives next door (or is visiting?) to a man and his daughter. The daughter (? or maybe the father) writes messages in the frost on the windows back and forth with her, that's how I found out the character's name was Sara. I am not sure of much else, though. I can't name either actors, yet they look so familiar. I know he has dark hair and has a slight beard. If this at all sounds familiar, I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI think my comment may have gotten lost. Love your blog! I have been looking for a Lifetime Christmas movie that I saw advertised on PlutoTV. I don't know the names of the actors, and I don't know much about the movie, either. I've googled for hours and can't find it. It's about a woman named Sara. Her neighbor is a single dad and has a daughter. Not sure if she's just moved there or if she's temporarily there, but the daughter (or the dad) write messages to Sara in the frost on the windows. I think it's the daughter wanting to fix her dad up, but not sure. The dad does smile at Sara when he sees her in the window. He has dark hair and a slight beard. That's about all I know about it. It piqued my interest but I just can't find it. I'd appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteSirMatthewKBE, Wish I could help, but that description isn't bringing any movie to mind for me.
DeletePerhaps someone else will recognize it.
Thanks!
DeleteCould it be Twinkle All the Way with Sarah Drew?
DeleteOh Net im just like you- not ready to take down decorations or stop Christmas but here we are.
ReplyDeleteLacey’s movie does look cute thou and I love WCTH too. Christie
I'm still listening to Christmas music. I'm not ready for it to end! ð✝️ððĨ°
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the Christmas movies.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that they will be back on Friday.
It is when the movies get replaced by the tv series which are old that I will not watch.
Lost in Paradise is 1 giant barrel of laughs! -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, Wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for sharing! :)
DeleteI’ll be watching the lost in paradise movie (I’ll tape it and watch it later as I love most of Lacey’s movies), this weekend I started my winterfest rewatch, hallmark has previously done such lovely snow-y movies in January, I love: frozen in love, love in winterland, love on Iceland, winter in vail, winter castle, a winter princess, winters dream, love on ice, snow coming, amazing winter romance, a royal winter, one winter weekend, winter love story, lots more I like, also GAC’s wi there castle. I also watch the mighty ducks, ice princess, the cutting edge, Groundhog Day & chalet girl.
ReplyDeleteI confess I took down my little coastal tree today. As much as I loved seeing the house for Christmas(since Nov 1) it is nice to have it regular again. Nice and fresh.
ReplyDeleteBut of course I’m looking forward to another season of When Calls the Heart!!!! And I adore Lacey Chabert!!
Hi Net! Happy New Year to you! And Happy New Year to everyone else who visit and post on this fabulous site! :-)
ReplyDeleteI am a bit sad there are no more Christmas movies on my DVR. But, honestly, I am ready for a new year as last year was just depressing to go through with all of my personal losses. The only Christmas movie, we ended up watching, all the way through, recently was "Christmas with the Knightlys" which was super-cute. However, that is the extent of my review on that one. Since we did not really enjoy any of the other Christmas movies, that aired the last week of the viewing season, my husband and I re-watched "Christmas under the Stars" and "A Bramble House Christmas". It had been, several years, since we had seen both movies and we really enjoyed them as much this time around. In my opinion, the quality of the older Hallmark Christmas movies is so much better than what they are churning out today. Yes, there have been some gems, in recent years, but overall I think they made better movies in the past. The stories felt organic and not so contrived. I was moved more and felt more in the past.
Okay, I will get off my soapbox and move on to the main reason for my post. I am here to add my review of the newest Hallmark movie "Lost in Paradise". Let me start out by saying there were a few times we had to suspend reality but overall it was a fantastic movie. There was so much goodness to savor. Great scenery, funny dialog, amazing chemistry, good plot and a few twists quite honestly I did not expect. Ian should be the lead more often. He is handsome, easygoing and seriously great in this movie. So charming! He and Lacey were a nice match and believable as a couple. Also, some of the supporting cast was very good too. I will definitely watch it again with my hubby.
We still need to watch "When Calls the Heart" but I wanted to go ahead and share my review of Lacey and Ian's movie.
Joan, I know just what you mean... I prefer many of the classics more than most of the new Christmas movies, too. Some have been great, but it does seem like a lot less than previous years.
DeleteSo good to hear you enjoyed "Lost in Paradise," and I think you will love "When Calls the Heart," too! It was such a beautiful opening episode!!! Enjoy!!! :)
On a different note, I don't know if you've seen today's latest, but Harper Collins has acquired Dayspring Cards from Hallmark. This explains why there was not a Dayspring movie at Christmas. :(
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! I hadn't heard that, but I gave it a quick Google, and it sounds like great news for DaySpring - to be purchased by HarperCollins Christian Publishing!
DeleteI found an article that quotes Mark Schoenwald, president and CEO of HCCP, and he states, “This strategic acquisition allows us to develop new products and further expand our reach in the faith-based market.”
I sure hope this means they will continue to do DaySpring films, too!
Thank you, Anonymous, for sharing this information with us!
good to have a reason. Hope this doesn't mean the end of seeing Dayspring cards at Hallmark stores, I like buying them. -Maria
