Movie Review:

Christmas Love and Fudge is clean and quite sweet. -Maria

Christmas Love and Fudge – I agree with Maria’s review; this movie is family-friendly and very sweet. The female lead, Amanda (Erin Karpluk), is quirky and cheerful, and her opposite, Simon (Christopher Russell), is a lot of fun! The two team up to uncover the secret ingredients behind Simon’s Aunt Jackie’s Joy to the World Fudge recipe.

It's just good, cozy comfort entertainment. The heart of the story was all about the fudge and their amazing teamwork, which, of course, leads to love. This ended up being a lighthearted, delightful watch. ~Net

I hope you find one or more of the new movies to enjoy this weekend!

I'm personally looking forward to seeing... both Great American Family movies - Chasing Christmas and Another Sweet Christmas! Of course, with such wonderful actors as Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron Mathison, Trevor Donovan, and Jillian Murray, I already have a feeling these movies are going to be something really special!

Plus, based on Jane's lovely review above, I'm also looking forward to seeing Christmas with the Knightlys on UPtv!

Cautions: Based on the storyline released so far, it appears that the Hallmark movie A Make or Break Holiday may depict a couple who are living together but are not married. Please know, I'm not 100% certain about this. My assumption is simply based on the promo details we have, and things will be clearer, of course, once the movie airs.

The new Hallmark movie, The Christmas Baby, feautures a same-sex female couple adopting a baby.

Also, I want to caution that UPtv’s The Best Thing About Christmas has more emotionally heavy themes. From the story description, the film addresses adult subject matter involving the loss of a young child. However, the story also offers a message of hope, following a grieving father who searches for meaning and healing and ultimately turns to his faith.

Please note: I haven’t pre-screened the NEW movies mentioned above, other than Sweet Holiday Romance. (You can find mine and Maria's reviews above.) If you happen to watch any of the new Christmas movies and would like to share your thoughts, please stop back by and leave a review in the comments. I always love hearing what you think!

Great American Family Officially Announces 2026 Christmas Movie - 'A Christmas Prayer II'

Great American Media has some fantastic news to share - a sequel movie is officially on the way!

"A Christmas Prayer II" will be coming in 2026!

During the Great American Christmas celebration in mid-November, CEO Bill Abbott first hinted that this special story would continue, and it was such a joy to hear that news shared with fans. Now, that promise has become a reality, and it truly feels like a little answered prayer for those of us who love heartfelt, faith-filled movies.

A brand-new press release was shared today with all the exciting details! And yes, Shae Robins and Christopher Russell are returning to reprise their roles. I'm grateful that GAF continues to create stories filled with family, love, hope, and, best of all, faith!

Get the full scoop on "A Christmas Prayer II" straight from Great American Media below...

Press Release:

Great American Media
Celebrates Instant Classic,
Announces A Christmas Prayer II,

and Christopher Russell,
Sequel to Beloved Original,
Joins Lineup for
Great American Christmas 2026

NEW YORK, NY – December 17, 2025 – As the 5th anniversary celebration of Great American Christmas enters its final three weeks, Great American Media is thrilled to announce it will produce a sequel to one of the season’s most cherished holiday films. A Christmas Prayer II, starring Shae Robins and Christopher Russell, has officially been greenlit for a brand-new chapter as part of Great American Christmas 2026 and will stream on Great American Pure Flix and air on Great American Family and GFAM+. The sequel promises to delight audiences all over again by celebrating the spirit of giving and joy of sharing blessings during the holiday season.

As the original film portrayed, A Christmas Prayer brings to life a touching story about a little girl who makes a list of prayers, not for herself, but as blessings for others. Each prayer she creates is meant to bring happiness and light into someone else’s life, capturing the true spirit of the season.

“As Great American Christmas celebrates an important milestone this year, we are far ahead of schedule in delivering on our mission of building the number one Christmas franchise in entertainment. And, we are off to a tremendous start in planning for the 2026 holiday season, with 3 movies completed and over 10 projects ready to go into production. A Christmas Prayer II fits perfectly within our slate alongside all the films that already make Great American Christmas one of the season’s most cherished traditions,” Abbott concluded.

Great American Media Announces New Series: “Jep & Jess: Beyond the Bayou”

New *Lifestyle Series* is coming to Great American Family in 2026!

See details in the press release below + keep scrolling to see a video clip about this new series and more!

Great American Media
Announces Lifestyle Series,
“Jep & Jess:
Beyond the Bayou,”
Starring Jep
and Jessica Robertson,
Debuting on
Great American Pure Flix in 2026
Welcome to the Robertson’s
New Frontier: Texas!

NEW YORK, NY –December 15, 2025 — Great American Media, the leader in faith and family entertainment, has officially greenlit the Original Unscripted Lifestyle series, “Jep & Jess: Beyond the Bayou,” starring Jep and Jessica Robertson. The Lifestyle series will stream exclusively on Great American Pure Flix in early 2026, and also air on Great American Family and GFam+ shortly thereafter. The pair also appear in a cameo in Have We Met This Christmas?, now streaming on Great American Pure Flix.

After two years of rapid growth in producing Original Series, Great American Media is poised to enter 2026 with a strong slate and even greater momentum. The new series follows the Robertsons as they develop their Comanche Moon Ranch property, offering viewers an inside look at their journey.

Jep and Jessica’s faith-filled adventure stretches far beyond the Louisiana bayous and into the rolling hills of Texas. There, the husband-wife team have poured their hearts into Comanche Moon Ranch, a private retreat an hour from the DFW metroplex that offers a peaceful haven with fishing ponds and pickleball courts. In doing so, they’re not just expanding on the family legacy that began with “Duck Dynasty,” they are laying down roots for a future their children and grandchildren can one day call their own.

“Jep and Jessica are going to feel right at home on our network” said Kaitlyn Haubrich, Chief Brand Officer, Great American Media. “The series isn’t just about them building physical homes; it’s about creating spaces where people led by faith can truly be at home. We believe their journey will uplift hearts and inspire a deeper sense of purpose and community,” Haubrich concluded.

Jep and Jessica Robertson shared, “We chose to partner with Great American Media because their values so closely mirror our own. Faith and family are central to our lives, and we are excited to share this new chapter with viewers. We hope our journey will inspire everyone to pursue their dreams with a sense of purpose and wholehearted faith both in their own lives and in their communities.”

SERIES OVERVIEW

Jep and Jessica Robertson are expanding their horizons – personally and professionally – splitting time between their Louisiana home and a new frontier: Texas! Inspired by some recent success with vacation rental properties in the Lone Star State, Jep & Jess are going all-in, taking a risky leap of faith by making a sizeable financial investment in a potential legacy family business for their children and grandchildren. But that’s not all. As they juggle parenting, grandparenting, and the same hilarious misadventures that made the Robertson name famous, viewers will fall in love all over again. Whether it’s Jep trading duck calls for dusty boots or Jess bringing her homesteading heart to a new landscape (with a new look), this next chapter is filled with humor, heart, joy, and chaos, of building something that lasts.

πŸŽ„❤️ Celebrate the True Meaning of Christmas - "A Charlie Brown Christmas" Streams FREE Dec. 13–14

There are certain Christmas traditions that instantly take us back to simpler days, and A Charlie Brown Christmas, now celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year, is one of those timeless gifts. With its soft jazz music, familiar voices, and that humble little Christmas tree, this beloved Peanuts classic has a way of wrapping our hearts in nostalgia, while quietly pointing us back to what matters most.

I remember my family and I would always be gathered in front of the TV to watch this sweet cartoon every Christmas! We wouldn't dream of missing it. And years later, Charlie Brown’s search for meaning during the Christmas season feels just as relevant today.

This year, families can once again gather to stream this treasured special through Apple TV. And for a limited time this weekend, December 13th-14th, A Charlie Brown Christmas will be available to watch for free!

Charlie Brown and Faith:

What makes this sweet little cartoon so powerful is its courage to proclaim the true meaning of Christmas! It is said that CBS was initially hesitatant over the message of faith in A Charlie Brown Christmas, but creator Charles M. Schulz, a man of deep personal faith, gently yet firmly refused to remove it, saying, “If we don’t do it, who will?” Finished at the last minute with no time for changes, the scene remained and generations have been blessed by its beautiful reminder of the true meaning of Christmas ever since.

In a season filled with decorating, baking, shopping, bright lights, and glitter, it’s easy to feel like Charlie Brown.. wondering if anyone remembers what Christmas is all about. Yet year after year, Linus steps onto that simple stage and reminds us plainly and beautifully: the true meaning of Christmas is the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

It’s such a gentle story, yet it speaks volumes. May we all take time to remember the true meaning- that our Savior was born to save us from our sins and to give us eternal life in Him. That truth is the greatest gift of all, and it’s why A Charlie Brown Christmas will always hold a special place in all of our hearts.

How To Watch:

A Charlie Brown Christmas will be available to watch for free, no subscription required, on Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14! Just open the Apple TV app or go to tv.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID (or create a new one), press play, and enjoy!

Put Charlie Brown under your Christmas Tree:

I hope watching this heartwarming special will bring joy to your heart! I've also incuded some delightful Charlie Brown and Peanuts products below - that you might like to gift this Christmas!

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

As I’m writing this, it truly feels like I’m living inside a snow globe. We’ve had snow on the ground or falling nearly every single day in December, and today it is falling again! While I’m not sure if we’ll have a White Christmas, it has already been a wonderfully snowy month- making everything feel extra cozy and Christmassy!

Here in the Midwest, we’re currently under a Winter Storm Warning, and we could see six inches of snow or more! (the number seems to keep changing!) It’s absolutely beautiful to watch the snowfall from the warmth of indoors, but my heart goes out to anyone who has to travel in it. If you’re experiencing winter weather like this too, please stay safe, take care, and keep warm and cozy!

Merry Christmas and
Blessings to You All!!!

Hallmark Announces "Hope Valley: 1874" - Coming in 2026!

More hope and heart are coming! Hallmark has just announced a brand-new prequel series called "Hope Valley: 1874," and fans of "When Calls the Heart" have so much to be excited about!

Premiering in March 2026 on Hallmark+, the eight-part series will take viewers back to the earliest days of the community that would one day grow into beloved Hope Valley, exploring faith, courage, and the joy of building a life together from the ground up.

The series stars Bethany Joy Lenz as Rebecca Clarke, a devoted mother whose journey from Chicago to the Western Canadian frontier becomes a beautiful story of trust, community, and new beginnings.

Alongside her are Benjamin Ayres and Jill Hennessy, portraying characters whose strength and friendship bring warmth and encouragement to every scene.

"Hope Valley: 1874" promises to be a heartfelt celebration of hope and resilience. I love the way God brings people together even in the most rugged of places.

I'm personally looking forward to this series with much joy (love Bethany Joy Lenz!) and anticipation!

Sunday, December 14, 2025:

Storyline: "When water lines break at Temple Beth Am, it leaves its members in need of a place to celebrate Hanukkah. Across the street, St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church is quick to open its doors and offer shared space for the holidays. With the last night of Hanukkah and Christmas Eve falling on the same day this year – something that rarely happens – the reverend and rabbi choose to offer a joint service for their congregations. But that means Nikki Roberts (D’Orsay), St. Joseph’s youth choir director, must team up with Jake Cohen (Epstein), the substitute youth choir director from Temple Beth Am, and put on a single music program. These two are old high school rivals, and together, they’re ready to compete for the top prize. That’s not helping matters at a time when partnership matters most. To lead a successful fundraising effort for the temple, Nikki and Jake have to put aside their differences and learn how to work together. In doing so, they discover teamwork can move mountains and open hearts, including their own. On their big night, Nikki and Jake find a way to unite people through the power of song and prove that coming together is the best way for everyone to celebrate the holiday season."

Movie Review:

πŸŽ„ Christmas in Big Sky Country. I rather enjoyed this predictable little movie. It was comfortable and satisfying, even though sometimes hokey. There wasn’t a huge amount of romantic chemistry but I thought all the actors did a decent job (in fact I kind of think it might be the best movie the two leads have each done?). It was the same old, same old plotline, and it’s not going to win any awards and I’m not even sure it was all that Christmassy, but there was just enough drama and uniqueness and family sweetness to make it stand out a little bit and be worth watching in a sea of Christmas-movie sameness. Loved the yarn shop; and the family patriarch, who is a sheep farmer, and has lots of silly Dad puns. Family friendly. ~Jane

Sending warm weekend wishes your way, everyone! May you enjoy plenty of new Christmas premieres along with the classic films we love from year to year.

AMC will be playing many on the Rankin/Bass animated classics we cherish on Saturday and Sunday, such as: The Year Without a Santa Claus, 'Twas The Night Before Christmas, and more! The longer marathon on Sunday runs from 8:30am to 4:30pm!

TCM is playing beloved Christmas classics on Sunday, including Shop Around the Corner and Meet Me in St. Louis!

With so many interesting choices this weekend, it's hard to choose which new movie or classic to watch first!

Please note: I haven’t pre-screened the NEW movies mentioned above, so if you watch and would like to share your thoughts, please stop back by and leave a review in the comments. I always love hearing what you think.
