Brennan Elliott’s Heartfelt Thank You to Lacey Chabert and Fans for Choosing "His & Hers" as Favorite Rom-Com

Congratulations, Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott!

On Wednesday, August 6th, I had the joy of revealing the winners of the It's a Wonderful Movie Awards for Favorite 2024 Romantic Comedy, Mystery, Faith-Based film, & Christmas.

To the delight of myself and so many fans, His & Hers took top honors as the #1 voted favorite romantic-comedy of 2024.

To celebrate, I shared a special reel on X and Instagram, that highlighted the past 15 years worth of past winners and the newest champion.

Not long after, I received the sweetest response in my direct messages from Brennan Elliott saying, "THANK YOU so much Lacey and I are beaming!!"

I, of course, was elated by Brennan's words and so glad this news brought joy to them both.

Yesterday, Brennan shared the wonderful news on Instagram, posting a photo of himself with Lacey along with a heartfelt message thanking viewers for choosing "His & Hers" as their favorite movie.

Brennan also spoke movingly about how much this recognition means to him during a difficult season of loss, and he honored the special friendship he shares with Lacey.

Thank you all for supporting the movie and all our 10 movies together! I have been so blessed to be able to share the screen with her on 10 movies and love her as a scene partner and creative collaborator, but what you all do not see is how she is off screen. @thereallacey is one of my #bestfriends in the whole world and a beautiful human being who has been there for me through thick and thin. Especially the last number of years through this dark time of #cami being sick with cancer and her passing. This last year especially has been the hardest for the kids and I and I have a number of friends who have been there for me and help love myself and the kids through grief. But this soul sent from heaven @thereallacey is at the top of the list! I love you my friend and appreciate our friendship and to say I can’t wait to do a hundred more movies with you is the truth! But more important than that is I can’t wait to continue our friendship forever. I was so touched by Brennan's heartfelt message, I just had to share it here with all of you. It’s easy to see how much love, respect, and gratitude he has for Lacey as a co-star, but more importantly, as a true, lifelong friend. I believe that’s what makes "His & Hers" so special, and why fans embraced it with such warmth. It was made with real heart, on and off the screen.

It was an absolute honor to give Lacey and Brennan this year’s viewer-voted *It’s a Wonderful Movie Award*. They’ve brought so much joy to so many through their 10 films together, and they've shown us all the beauty of friendship, loyalty, and love that lasts through life’s hardest seasons.

I pray for them both... many more beautiful stories ahead!

New Poster Reveal for "Crossroad Springs" - Coming to Great American Family

The all-new poster for the new original series, "Crossroad Springs," has been released via Great American Media.

The poster features the characters who will portray the Hamilton family and their distrustful neighbor...

I noticed the poster says under the title "SEASON 1". That's interesting, isn't it? Does that imply that there are already plans for a season 2? It does make one think that could be the case, but of course, we'll have to wait and see.

The film stars Jocelyn Hudon, who is recognizable to Hallmark fans from When Hope Calls, From Friend to Fiancé, and Baby, It’s Cold Inside. Jocelyn portrays the very likable girl-next-door sort of character, Kyra, who dreams of being a jewelry designer and owning her own shop in town. In the meantime, she works at the local country club and sells her jewelry designs in her father’s antique shop. Just as she’s about to make plans to acquire the space for her own store, the son of the country club owners, Aidan, who is a wealthy business man used to traveling around the world and making deals by the minute, returns home and makes his own bid on the property and begins to steal Kyra’s heart, as well. Can they work it out before it’s too late? I think you’ll enjoy this happy ending. ~Net

🎬 I watched several of the new movies you told us about on BYUtv, Net. One of a Kind Love, Seasoned with Love, and You May Kiss the Bridesmaid all completely charmed me! I found this movie review on YouTube from someone who caught an early screening, so I thought I would share it with all of you...

Movie Review:

🎬 I attended the movie screening in Santa Monica, CA, on May 13th. This is a fantastic film about having it all, including a nice home, marriage, and family, only to lose it all, fight back, and find redemption. Paula Patton did an outstanding job as "Faith!" So did the others in the movie. It should be required viewing for churches, as the movie is a sermon in itself. Hopefully, the faith-based community will rally around this film and go in droves as a church outing. ~Eric C.

🎬 It's a Wonderful Role! Jen Lilley to Star in Jimmy Stewart Biopic with KJ Apa

Classic Hollywood meets new charm!

I'm so thrilled to share this news that was revealed today... Jen Lilley (known for her TV movies on the Hallmark Channel and Great American Family) will step into Old Hollywood glam in a new James Stewart biopic film!

As someone who absolutely loves the classic beloved Christmas film, It’s a Wonderful Life, starring Jimmy Stewart, seeing Jen Lilley take part in a film honoring Stewart’s legacy makes this upcoming biopic all the more exciting!

In the new film, titled Jimmy, Jen Lilley will portray Gloria Stewart, Jimmy’s wife and longtime love. Always known for her charm and emotional depth, I think Jen is an excellent choice to play the woman behind one of Hollywood’s most beloved stars. This role is a significant move for Jen, as she trades cozy small-town Christmases for the glitz and glamour of classic Tinseltown.

The film stars KJ Apa (Riverdale) as Jimmy Stewart and is directed by Aaron Burns. It will explore Stewart’s early Hollywood days, his iconic performances in films like Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and It’s a Wonderful Life, as well as his service as a WWII pilot. The story will also highlight his love story with Gloria, giving Jen a meaningful role in the heart of the film.

Joining the cast alongside Jen are Jason Alexander as studio exec Louis B. Mayer, Sarah Drew as gossip columnist Hedda Hopper, and Julian Works as Stewart’s wartime comrade.

Filming begins this September in Ireland, with a theatrical release set for November 2026.

I'm sure Jen Lilley will bring timeless grace to this timeless role.

🍁🍃 Hallmark Channel's September, 2025 Movie Premieres

The Hallmark Channel has released its lineup of September movie premieres. The highlights are a brand-new romantic comedy starring fan favorites Rachel Boston and Andrew Walker, as well as the latest installment in the "Mystery Island" series.

Also, I want to inform you... premiering on the Hallmark Channel in September are "The Groomsmen" trilogy of films, which originally premiered on Hallmark+. (Note: these movies include a same-sex relationship.)

Storyline: Mystery Island success raises plans of expansion, and the Island team meets their Mystery Mountain counterparts for a friendly murder game, but the fun ends with a murder in plain sight.

Hopefully, these two movies will be good! I'm not certain these movies above will be truly fall-related; however, at least two fall-themed movies will be added to the Hallmark schedule in October, including "Home Turf," starring Nikki DeLoach and Warren Christie, and "Haul Out the Halloween," starring Lacey Chabert and Wes Brown. Stay tuned for more details.

Are you looking forward to the new rom-com and mystery in September? I'm really glad they changed the title of Rachel and Andrew's movie from "Birding with Benefits" to "Adventures in Love & Birding." The new title has a nicer, more charming ring to it.

As for "Mystery Island," I’m a big mystery fan and have seen all the previous movies in this franchise, but so far, it just hasn’t pulled me in. Maybe this new one will finally do the trick. I’m game for giving it a try!

Just a quick thought (or two!) on the NEW Weekend Movies...

Okay, I must say... the old-fashioned images/promos Hallmark has released for the new 3-part movie series, Providence Falls, look absolutely beautiful. There's a dreamy, romantic feel to them that really draws you in. That said, I did notice the word "reincarnated" in the story synopsis, which gives me pause. As a Christian, I personally don’t believe in reincarnation. Hebrews 9:27 says, “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,” which clearly shapes my view on this topic.

So, I’m curious... does one (or more) of the characters actually experience reincarnation in this story, or is the term being used more loosely, perhaps to describe time travel or some other kind of connection across time? I'm personally game for a fun time-travel film like Back to the Future or A Biltmore Christmas, etc... but if the story is, indeed, centered around reincarnation, then dreamy or not, I'm out.




NOTE: Due to the suspenseful nature of this Lifetime film, Terri Blackstock’s If I Run, I expect the movie to have violence, adult dialogue, and content not suitable for young viewers. Discretion is advised.




Thought it would be fun to note... There are several familiar faces in the new Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Death at the Diner - including Kimberly Sustad (The Nine Lives of Christmas), Steve Bacic and Sarah Strange (Garage Sale Mystery), and Caitlin Stryker (Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker).

Also, be sure to note the time change for this premiere. The movie will air at 9pm/8c, which is different than what the poster says above.

Hallmark Channel to Air Unscripted Series on Monday Nights

Due to the success of Christmas at Sea this Summer, Hallmark is introducing a fresh slate of unscripted, feel-good programming on Monday nights starting this Fall.

The lineup kicks off September 15th with Season 2 of "Celebrations with Lacey Chabert," with Lacey returning as host and executive producer to honor eight inspiring individuals with meaningful surprises.

Other series included are "Finding Mr. Christmas," the competition series, and "Baked With Love: Holiday," hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housley.

(Indian Land, SC – June 26, 2025) – INSP EVP of Programming, Doug Butts, today announced that the highly anticipated 2nd season of INSP’s original Western drama, ELKHORN, will premiere on Thursday, October 2nd at 9PM ET. The widely acclaimed series portrays the formative years of America’s 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt, as a true Cowboy in the Dakotas.
